First, one star because the burgers were good. Fries were horrible. 0 stars because the restaurant itself was absolutely disgusting. Every single table was filthy with dirt and wrappers and grime all over the tables. The condiment station was disgusting with old rappers, sugar packets, sugar, and garbage on the whole thing. The garbage barrels were overflowing, every single one! The soda machines, the ice didn't work in one and the other one, the carbonation didn't work so you had warm flat soda. I love the burgers here. In my opinion this is the best burger spot in the area the service is out of this world. They would go out of their way to make sure you get the correct items you've purchased. The place is nice and tidy and the drink machine is usually stocked with all types of drinks. I was picking up a mobile order. One associate ask for the name on the order, assured me it was just waiting on the fries. I do not mind waiting. I like that the fries are fresh, but I knew my order was ready. I could see it. The associate making fries didn't speak and wouldn't look at me for 20 minutes. The burger was now cold and the fries were hot but the stingiest amount of fries were put in my order. When I say, stingiest, the cup wasn't even full and none had fallen into the bottom of the bag. Be careful...it's easy to blow your calorie budget here! Had a small cheeseburger. Plenty for me, especially along with the French fries and chocolate shake. All very tasty. It was clean, the service was friendly and energetic and positive, the team looked happy to be working there, and they had a person cleaning tables and floors and making sure the condiments were full and clean and orderly. The place was clean and bright. Seems like they've improved over the years, especially in the cleanliness. It's a real treat! The shakes are sooooo good, too, whereas the new Shake Shack place at Tuscan had very mediocre shakes, at best. Totally prefer the flavor of the fries and burgers here, too. And we love the self-serve pick-your-own-flavor soda dispensers. That's another thing Shake Shack doesn't have. We really like this location. And the gimmick of the peanuts; we like that, too. This is the worst Five Guys location I've ever been to. I've only been back because it's close to me but won't be going back after tonight. Four bites into my burger I pull out a nice long hair. GROSS! This location is consistently the least clean one I've ever been to. While out today with my family, we were in the Salem area and had hungry bellies. Currently as I write this we are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. We opted for Five Guys because of the ease of car side service. We ordered 3 cheeseburgers all with different toppings, a small fry, and a small Cajun fry. From ordering online to pickup was about 10 minutes. Fast courteous service! I will say it was slightly hard to find, but we managed. I will start by saying this was my first time eating at a Five Guys, and I was low key excited! All I will say is YUMMMMM! My burger was cooked to perfection, super juicy, and a bit greasy but in that good diner burger way. My mouth is still watering! Generous with the toppings too! I had the Cajun fries, and they were delicious. The small order was quite large, cup overflowing and the paper bag they came in was loaded in bonus fries. I'm not a big spicy food fan, and these did have a little kick to them. But so so good! I kinda wish they were a bit more crispy though. Very disappointed as I have had a Five Guys burger in the past, admittedly a handful of years ago, and I enjoyed it very much. But the "to go" burger I got today from this location was just so so as it as a bit boring. I got a regular cheeseburger, which is a double burger. I added the standard stuff, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mayo. I added a medium fries for the side. I got home with the order in less than ten minutes. But when I opened it up the fries were limp and a bit soggy, and the burger was on the bland side and quite messy. The veggies really added nothing. To me, this was no better than a Wendy's double classic but a bit more expensive. Probably no more Five Guys for me. Salem has a few better burger options. read more

I moved up-north from down south and so I've been doing Five Guys for over ten years ! Any who, part of their theme was unlimited peanuts free for everyone not only that, but in the south it is customary to throw your peanut shell on the floor so there was always tons of peanut shells on the floor at any given five guys ! Well i know do to the pandemic lots of things have changed including not being able to serve yourself unlimited amounts of peanuts witch are now behind the counter . So i ask the young kid taking my order if there were any peanuts available he says yes and proceeds to where the peanuts are stored he grabs a bag and a scooper and gives 2 tiny scoops of peanuts mind you the scoop only holds about a hand full of shells and I'm grown ass man ! So i asked him can you fill the bag up a bit for me he looks at me and puts one more tiny scoop with about five peanuts in it and seals the bag with a sticker SMH . I thought to myself what?? Are the peanuts coming out of this kids paycheck or something ? Its not like I didn't just spend $20 on a burger and fries .. I was so disappointed as it was my main reason for even driving across the border into another state to get to a five guys just so this kid could be cheap with some damn peanuts I wanted to just throw the bag in his face and tell him shove it up your you know what ! I waited 15 minutes for two burgers,fry and a shake the employee who took my order was rolling her eyes and making faces which I thought was pretty rude then once i finally received my food and left once I got home i find out the burger was made incorrectly the recipt clearly says in bold letters how the sandwich should be made they didn't put any of the condiments and what they did put was overloaded and disgusting if I wanted a pickle sandwich I would have ordered that . I think you need to give your employees a reading lesson and some manners read more
