Pulled pork nachos. No toppings. Cheese was not melted.

It's a regular dive bar. Nothing special. Decent beer on tap. Decent prices. People were friendly. But the food was not good. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Don't get the pulled pork nachos. The cheese wasn't melted and they don't come with any toppings.

I'm not sure who has is giving this place five stars or even two stars.. Went tonight with friends and sat out back, it was nice. Got our drinks. Meal time came and husband ordered a Cuban and I ordered a burger, medium rare. My husband got a Reuben (not a Cuban) and I got a well done Burger and couldn't eat it, (just picked at one half of bun in some parts.) Showed it to the server and also advised her of the fact that my husband got a reuben and not a Cuban (although he likes both and so he was fine with it) but for me it was not fine. Server apologized and offered a redo but honestly we'd already been there for about 30 minutes and I didn't want to wait that long again. No manager came over. It was very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it nor would I ever go back. Note: I didn't specifically ask for manager but had hoped that server would have sent them over. Awful, awful food.

    Roasted Veggie Pappardelle Pasta

I'm glad I ordered fries just in case, because my luck with anything pasta is usually bad. I ordered the veggie pappardelle pasta with chicken, but alas...it never came with the chicken. Definitely not a vegan, so I ate as much as I could with chili flakes and went to town with the fries. Otherwise, the tavern's staff and regulars definitely have a fun personality. I was wearing a costume for a Spartan event prior and they couldn't help being curious and laughed together about it. The vibe differs because you'll walk right into a round table for the bar and the friends of the tavern. Then you'll go right and sit in church pews? I may come back again just to relax and have a few beers with friends since they live across the street.

Outdoor patio with cornhole and tables. They have other configurations of tables (couches, high tops) too.

This place is a hidden gem. The patio is an oasis with great tables (shaded by umbrellas) with the backdrop of the giant mill buildings across the street. The beers are cold, the wait staff is on top of things, and the food is good. We had an event here for 25 people and it was the perfect size- very casual and easy to mingle and eat appetizers. Highly recommend!

Delicious poutine with pulled pork. Harmonized nicely with a draft Sam Adams Winter Later. About $13, I think (the pulled pork was $4 extra)

A little reticent to award a fifth star to a place I have visited just once (today, as a matter of fact), but my experience was flawless. Excellent service by dayside bartender/food runner Liz H., a slick, clean atmosphere, good selection of beers on tap (and properly chilled), and quite excellent grub. I ordered the poutine with an additional topping of pulled pork, and the portion was princely and the taste was delightful. Lighting's a little dim for my terrible eyes, though Liz lent me a pair of cheaters, which helped a little. I live just five minutes (walking) from the fine Muddy Waters Tavern in Methuen, but this newish Lawrence tavern (the former Frosty Mug) is likely to win a bit of my business. I work out of town: otherwise, I would be a lunchtime regular. Highly recommend.

Cute place. Nice fast service. Great beer. Fresh cold hot food. Reuben sandwich was a big hit.

Did I just order food and now you point out the dust bunnies?

So the drinks were good, the food was good, the service was good but damn break out the duster and clean the joint. The boat hanging from the ceiling had covered in an inch deep dusty. Gross! Might be a good neighborhood bar but I won't be back until you clean it up ‍

    Is this good for kids?

We brought our 12 yr old and was fine. I think if you are there after 8-9pm they sometimes have bands so depending on your kids ages that may not be ideal. But lunch or early dinner (out before 8 ish) would be fine for all ages.

The chicken florentine wasn't bad but it was not a thinly pounded or sliced piece of chicken that was pan fried....it was a whole breaded chicken breast that was deep fried. I suppose "rustic" would be a good term to describe the interior. The menu offers steaks at prices you'd have a difficult time finding elsewhere in the area, plus chicken, lamb, veal, and interesting specials. Our large group was seated over two tables, which worked well for us in terms of quality conversation among interested folks. Service was quick, friendly, and professional, and all our dinners came out at the same time. We ordered a few appetizers. They were good but a little inconsistent. The mozzarella sticks, homemade, were a little unconventional, with a panko-mozzarella crust. Better, in my opinion, were the buffalo chicken tenders. I mis-read the description of my Argentine Bowl, thinking it was more of a salad. It was steak tips, avocado, tomatoes, and black beans over rice, quite tasty. The person sitting next to me ordered a dinner special the lamb shank osso bucco. While the meat was delicious and tender, it could have had even more seasoning on it, and there was an unexpected amount of fat on the shank. Parking is a little awkward given the shape of the shopping center, and the location of the restaurant. It was nice to see signs designating spaces closest to the restaurant reserved for their customers. This restaurant was the go-to restaurant for the family hosting the dinner event. I can understand why, and I wholeheartedly agree.

Buffalo Wings: Good number of wings, I think 8 or 10, but all on the small side. Not really crisp, but mostly tender. Some were dry, some were juicy. Ordinary Buffalo sauce. A runner brought the wings and left. No blue cheese. I waited and waited to ask the server for some, but she was nowhere to be found. Had to ask a hostess for it - she said it doesn't come automatically, you have to ask. Sheesh. Tavern Burger: A grilled non-smashburger, with strong grilled flavor and nailed the medium rare. Good juiciness. Good condiments (LTO and creamy sauce) on brioche. Solid. Onion Rings: I opted for the $3 premium to swap out the fries and swap in onion rings with the burger. A mere handful, but THICK. If you'd like this style, you might like these. Seemed like a mass-produced product. Lots of seasoning visually on the outside, but still no flavor. Very bready between the onion and the outside crumbage. Not a fan, but your mileage may vary. Didn't see much of my server. Which is understandable if the place is packed, but at late afternoon, it wasn't. Everything took a little longer than it should. Would have ordered another beer if asked. Overall, not bad, just very ordinary. The parking, though it'll cost you a buck, is great. So there's that.
