    Chicken tenders with fries

Overall the food is good NOT great and the particular waitress I had was not good. I ordered Jamaican jerk with as an appetizer they were yummy I would get them again. My only issue is the waitress asked if we wanted to place our orders yet or just the appetizers and we said just apps cause we haven't decided yet on meals. We ended up waiting about 40 mins for our apps to come and she never once in the 40 mins came to our table again to ask us what we'd like to order. After the apps came I had to stop the waitress in her path and tell her we are ready to order. After finally ordering the food came out my sub was bland and dry but the fried were very fresh and crunchy, I loved them. This is definitely not fine dinning and if you're in a hurry I wouldn't recommend it.

Amazing fish and chips. Totally a "local" but don't underestimate the food or the hospitality. The fish was so tender and moist inside, crispy outside. The fries ere perfectly brown and not flaccid. The bar service was perfectly homey and attentive. Drinks came quickly. Beers were cold. Bartenders were very personable. If I lived in the area, I would be here all the time.

First time here for takeout on a Friday night around 5:30pm. Ordering via phone was easy, meals were ready when I arrived exactly as quoted. Friendly server at the bar assisted me with checkout. Appeared to be a very local, regular crowd. We ordered the baked haddock with Cole slaw and onion rings and the steak tips with fries and the vegetable of the day which was broccoli. The haddock portion was on the smaller side but everything else was generous. The tips were perfectly cooked and fairly tender. We put the fries and onion rings in the air fryer when we got home and they were re-freshed perfectly. We'll be back!

Taste:3 buffalo wings were ok it was definitly under whelming due to all the over hype ive heard about this places wings i was expecting the best in town and ppl even travel 30 min for these wings... onion rings didnt taste home made they were just regular nothing special. the wrap was just ok as well. the wings were borderline under cooked and sauce wasnt really buffalo-y enough it was a bit on the saltier side too for my liking. my wifes chcicken finger wrap had some pieces of wilted lettuce in it too... Presentation:3 everything was nice and neatly paxcked . Value:3 kind of pricy for what we got and for what it is. Service:3 Service was ok *corona season* it was close to closing time 15 min before closing and i think i was the last order for food and 3 guys were sitting at the bar and a few people outside. Overall:3 probably wont be coming back anytime soon to be honest...

J Brian's MAC is definitely in my top 5. Their wings are just as delicious! The ambiance is very chill.

After running some errands in the area, I decided to hop off I-495 in South Lawrence and take a much needed lunch break at J. Brian's Pub & Grille, which is located next door to Hee Bin (that place looked closed). J. Brian's is a casual and clean open concept sports bar dominated with a big U-shaped bar area with a great view of 4 HDTVs on the wall. There are also a few high top and regular tables, as well as an area with a pool table and dart boards. There's also a Mass Lottery scratch ticket machine on premises and you can also play Keno too. I arrived here around lunchtime and the place was pretty busy with most of the seats around the bar occupied. The Bruins game was just getting started. I did eventually find an empty seat at the bar. The bartender promptly took my drink order and started up a tab for me. I was given a food menu and some specials were posted on the board. The food offerings include the typical pub fare of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, pasta dishes, steak, chicken, and seafood. The bar has several beers on tap and fully stocked with a good variety of liquor. See the menu at http://www.jbrians.com/menu.htm I ordered a special, which was a Pilgrim Panini ($7.95) with fries & pickle. This hot pressed sub sandwich was pretty good tasting which had carved roasted turkey, soft bread stuffing, and cranberries on a crusty sub roll. However, the seasoned hand cut fries were very crispy and overly salted for my liking. I should have asked for a different side since the other patrons sitting near me were getting salads or ziti with their entrees and salad. The food was pretty decent.and the service was friendly, prompt, and attentive. The bartender kept greeting me by first name and I was offered refills on the Diet Coke, which I definitely needed because of the salty fries. Also, the owner was making the rounds, checking up on his customers and carrying on conversations with the regular patrons (on a first name basis). Good times! (3.4 stars)

(Ok, we come to get W45T3D but whatever.) At this point the bartender knows to expect us and even asked my boyfriend where we were when he arrived an hour before us last week. She said she thinks we're "fun". We ARE the party. Duh. They have everything a bar should have: Cheap beer on tap, hard liquor for shots (Jager bombs anyone?), and a jukebox. That's pretty much all it takes to keep me happy. There are usually a few old townies drinking in the corner when we show up but after we take over the music situation they either pack up and head out or sit back and enjoy the show. We take this place over. And lately we've been bringing more people with us every time -- Because seriously, what else is there to do on a Tuesday night? I've come a couple times on the weekends. It's usually PACKED with "bro's" and college kids. All set. I'll stick to week night drinking :)

They have a a large out door patio that is perfect to knock back a few cold ones under the night's sky or during a nice summer day. They also allow smoking on the patio, if your into that. They have a large parking spot but it's not paved so you have to drive on a dirt and small pebbles. The piece is extremely affordable. The popcorn machine is a cool added benefit. The music box is cool but they people that chose the music suck. It's my go to bar in this area. Not really sure how the re-review works but tonight is was a cool night to come here. They have a live music DJ. Paying good drinks jams and at a volume that is not over baring. They have that sand bag game on the out door patio so that's cool to drink and play with friends. The hot fresh popcorn is a plus. Glad I found this local bar. The parking lot is still not paved and have made zero progress in doing so so that still sucks.

Walking in 7 minutes after opening, this place was already packed. Full of Patriots fans hooping and hollering to the end of the fourth quarter. Every appeared in a merry mood, and everyone knew each other it seems. Service here was great. Our waitress whipped around the room with finesse and speed, working the bar and tables all by herself. She was to the point but pleasant. The beers are ok, but they aren't anything spectacular. An average selection of nearby beers of all varieties. Going to other breweries in New Hampshire, I know that this state can produce good beers. Perhaps they just had a mediocre selection the week I was there. We ordered a medley of items and most of it was hit and miss. In the sampler, the pork cracklings were decent, although dinner pieces were hard to chew since they turned into a dense fried bit. The fries were ok, but standard. The tator tot was actual pretty good, but there's this sweetness and texture that makes me think of pumpkin? That could be upsetting to some. The chicken tenders are ok, but the breading isn't seasoned or exciting in texture. It felt like how I would fry chicken at home with only one coat of breading. The pickle chips were good, even though they were not spicy at all. If they called these paprika coated chips, then I would agree. But texture wise, they were actually crisp and not super watery. The pulled pork tacos are ok, but they rely more on sweet barbeque sauce more than anything else. The tortillas are subpar in flavor, but sturdy enough to hold everything together. The veggies slaw did add some nice acidity though. The wedge salad here is terrible. I should have looked up what others posted before I ordered it. It was a literal wedge of plain iceberg, with all the other ingredients and fixings dumped in the middle. The stuff in the middle was ok, but nothing felt harmonious. Just a bunch of salad ingredients added to a giant paper tray. It felt like a waste of 9 dollars for what was lazy preparation.

On our first night in Salem, my friends and I chose this place for dinner, and we were immediately glad we did. Every dish tasted homemade and full of flavor, and the service, especially from our server Elisha, was warm, attentive, and personable. We started with the charred broccoli mac & cheese, which arrived piping hot and baked to perfection. Every bite was rich, creamy, and delicious. Honestly, it's up there with the best mac & cheeses I've ever had. For entrées, we shared the shepherds pie and the steak tips. The shepherds pie, made with a hearty mix of lamb, beef, peas, carrots, house mashed, and cheddar cheese, was fresh and perfectly balanced. The steak tips were cooked to our liking, tender, and seasoned beautifully. Both dishes were comforting and satisfying. Olde Main Street Pub delivered exactly what we were hoping for: great food, genuine service, and a cozy atmosphere. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Salem.
