Wow $10 for a burrito that looks like a taco ball burrito. I'm ok with my burrito not being overloaded but shit put something in it i getting half scoops like it's coming out of the workers paycheck directly I mean how much can rice actually cost you. We drove a half hour to get here since we don't have one where we live and I won't be making the trip again. I frequented a Chipotle in Phoenix and loved it but this one...nope. We made our order for take out and the restaurant was not busy at all. The interior was messy and the restroom needed attention as well. The chicken was dried out and definitely not appealing. The portion size was inadequate to say the least. Again, I'm used to having enough for two meals but this barely gave me enough for one. She got more mad and started to re-open the lid and said but you will have to pay $2.50 extra( as if this is my punishment), which I have never seen anybody charging extra at a taco bar for building your ball. I paid the extra, took the food, went home and threw it away because in my culture this is " food made with hate", which will make you sick..... I've always liked Chipotle because they are the fresh food of the fast food! It's quick, reliable (chain), and you know exactly what you are going to get! The people in the store are pretty friendly, will help you with your order (just point at everytihng you want in your burrito)... and the prices are right! If you are like me... then the low-carb bowl is the way to go... tons of meat, topped with sour cream, cheese and guacamole! Add some tomatoes and lettuce, and you are set for under 5 carbs and probably pretty low calories too! It's hard not to love this place! read more

The service my family received today was unacceptable. There were 7 people working in the store and one person working the line. This young man was making takeout orders for several minutes before helping us and was visibly flustered. I ordered a veggie bowl and understandably they were not carrying romaine due to the ecoli outbreak but they also did not have guacamole. There was no sign posted that they were out of guacamole so you did not know until you were finished creating your bowl. When I asked if they do anything with the price because they had no guacamole which comes on the veggie bowl and is $2. The cashier who stood idly watching his coworker frantically service the growing line would not throw in a soda for me. They also were out of coke. Overall extremely poor showing by this Chipotle and no evidence of concern for the customer experience by employees. read more

You probably already know what this place is and what you're going to order. I've been around to plenty locations of this chain, I've seen fire and rain, and I've even seen a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin gettin' it on. I can say confidently this is the best Chipotle location I've been to. While there's certainly been a few misfires and I've had my fair share of undersized bowls and burritos, they are almost always on point. Ask for more and you shall receive more (unless you ask for double meat or Guac, you're paying for that, amigo). It's Chipotle. You know what you're dealing with. This is a good location. In my opinion this place is MUCH better than Qdoba, which is really the only comparable place in the area. The menu is simple, but delicious and fantastic quality! Don't be afraid to ask for more of certain items, they don't charge extra and will gladly put another scoops of rice or whatever it may be. Guacamole costs extra, but it's worth it; it's made of mostly avocado where as other places add fillers like corn or tomato to cut costs. More seating would be nice, but that really goes for every Chipotle location I've been to. read more

Chipotle used to be one of my favorite spots and I was thrilled when saginaw finally got one but since then everything has gone downhill the workers for one are very rude and unprofessional. Sometimes I can deal with the rudeness but when the food is terrible there really is no point in returning back ever again for me at least, not the Saginaw location. I had to keep reminding the guy who was making my food to add more items because he was just throwing it on not even looking at what he was doing but instead chatting with co workers who all were just laughing and seamed to be not working at all or taking there jobs serious. Very awkward and uncomfortable place. When they first opened of course for the first year it was amazing just like all the other chipotles but they started hiring unprofessional people. The hard shells have since changed and now taste like cardboard they changed them or are using pre made which I'm most certain they are using pre made shells because almost every day they sell out of hard shells two hours before they close now if they were fresh they could easily make some more and refill there container. The steak has also changed and now taste so flavorless and dry like chewing on leather except the taste is horrid like dog food. I get welcomed the moment I step in the door, everyone is so friendly, and willing to help. Bridget works very hard at her job and is an excellent leader. Even giving me great advice when I asked for it. Every time I eat a Chipotle which is often the service is always top notch, and provided with out discrimination. I'd heard the hype about Chipotle for years. I've seen their stock price. I've heard their mantra about natural, humanely raised ingredients and animals. I've grazed at locations on road trips over the years. Now there finally is one in Saginaw. I don't get it. It's like a downgraded version of Qdoba! The menu is VERY minimalist. There are options for burritos, tacos, salads, bowls...and I think that's it. You can get chips and salsa and chips and guacamole. Very expensive chips and salsa and guacamole. The ingredients are a bit better in quality compared to Qdoba, but it's nothing special. I've been to better Mexican restaurants on the West Coast. This place is a joke! They throw out a few lines about natural ingredients and meat, and the yuppies come in droves. Really? As I waited in line last week, that pretty much described the majority of people in line. Yuppies, college student types, etc. The dining room was a major disappointment. It was not a very inviting place to sit and eat. It was basically a modern art display with no regard for aesthetics or customer comfort. There aren't many tables and seats, so I guess they don't want anyone to come there, hang out and eat like at Qdoba, Culver's or Tropical Smoothie. I mean, maybe this will fly in a bigger city, but this is Saginaw! Actually, not even, because in bigger cities, dining rooms are usually huge and very comfortable. So I don't know what they were trying to do here. I feel a lot of Chipotle's success has much to do with it using cult marketing techniques like Apple does. It was always filthy dirty, employees sitting around eating or talking. A lot of the time they would be out of certain food if you came in after 8pm etc... It just wasn't pleasant. HOWEVER....the last two times I've been here it's been completely different! Clean tables everywhere, no trash on the floor, employees were actually taking food temps and one employee believe it or not was cleaning the bathroom! You don't even know how excited this makes me! I have to drive 1.5 hours to the nearest Chipotle so getting there and being annoyed by the state of the place was just disappointing. I had heard about this restaurant for 2 or 3 years before we got one so I figured it must be fairly good. Well I tried it out and all I can say is "meh". It wasn't bad... but there was nothing good about it. They have what, 3 items? You can customize them a little but that's it. The chips were nothing but pressed salt I think. I like salt. Sometimes I'll shake a bit into my palm and lick it. These chips were so insanely salted I couldn't believe it. Understand the 5-star review in context, which is measuring it against other similar restaurants in this city and against other locations of Chipotle. It's not 5-star in the sense of fine cuisine! I was really impressed with this new location. I went on a Wednesday night to avoid the long lines on the weekend. To the other reviewer who said there wasn't a large dining room, that's a characteristic of every Chipotle location I've ever visited. They're just not known for being really roomy. Yes, the decor and menu are both very minimalist, but I don't know if it's fair to rate the food on that standard. While I'd really appreciate a queso option here and they're still working out a few of the usual kinks you'd expect from a completely new store, I'm pleased with the new Chipotle in the area. read more
