As of this wonderful Sunday evening, Firehouse Subs has officially topped my sub list. This location is to blame. It starts right when you walk in the door and are happily greeted by the staff every time. The menu is simple and priced extremely well. The ingredients are always fresh and cooked to perfection. I'm a fan of the honey ham, it is, literally no joke, as sweet as candy. Try it sometime. The service is tip top, I feel treated and respected like a king. Food delivered directly to your table. Gone are the days of $19 subway footlong meals, what a joke. Here we have 8 in. sub, bag of chips, and a drink for $13 and 10x the experience. We've visited a few times here and several times in Phoenix and have never been dissatisfied. You're greeted with a cheerful "welcome to Firehouse" as soon as you walk in. Staff has always been friendly and food comes out pretty quickly. I'm addicted to the Italian sub, fully loaded and am never sorry for ordering it yet again! Subs are fresh, soup is good and they have a very large variety of hot sauces you can use (not to my liking but it's there if you like). Prices are good, especially for the deliciousness of the food. We never tire from Firehouse subs. They provide good subs and salads for a reasonable price. We've stopped at this location twice- Sunday, July 14, 2019 and in May, and had a good experience. On the last visit, we were very impressed with the sub maker. Her knowledge and friendliness made up for the cashier who was less than friendly and didn't use good listening skills. I only wish I remember the sub maker's name so that I could write a great review about her. She knew everything and the crew seemed to go to her for all of their questions and concerns. The restaurant was clean. Overall, most of the employees were pretty friendly and our order was correct. The cashier left a bad taste in our mouths but we will be back. read more

The subs are pricier than what I'm used to (see menu photos, that's why it's a 4/5), but the taste was great and the options presented when ordering was quite satisfying. Just opened up in Midland. I got their most famous sub with a drink and chips and it was about $9. To be honest I wasn't impressed. It was just average. Great subs! Visited my first Firehouse while vacationing in Florida and could not wait for them to move north! Always friendly staff willing to answer questions and recommend delicious subs. Food is good just as in every other firehouse subs, however that is all what was good. The manger had a creepy tone of voice and attitude, team greeted us poorly and outta sync, had a sanitizer bucket out by the straw and cup lids which is a health code violation as well. I wanted to like this place because I had been to a couple firehouse subs in another state. But.. I have been here twice. First time was pretty good. Not great compared to some of the sub places midland already has in my opinion. Second time was bad. I got the #7 and the meat in my sandwich was...rubbery, chewy and dry in places. I wanted to check this place out because new places to eat are a novelty around here. Overall I'd have to say there are a couple things I really liked about this place, in particular the customizable soda machine (which my kids really enjoyed!) and the fact that almost all their subs are hot. I wanted an alternative to the cold subs at Subway. However people aren't kidding about this place being expensive - it was $24 for three of us, which were all small subs and only one of which was a combo including chips. That's too much for a sub shop in my opinion. The gimmick of the staff yelling out the store number and "welcome to Firehouse" every time someone walked in the door got really annoying. As we sat there and ate, my 12 year old son said "there's no way I could work here, that would get really old." I had to agree. And it is very frustrating to be excited about eating something to get home and find your order is wrong and you cant eat it!!!!!!!!!!
