Awesome neighborhood deli with a large menu. Plenty of seating inside and out, the location is right downtown. I had a Ruben and it was so tasty. The bread was fresh, and the meat piled high. Would definitely love to try some hotdogs or polish sausages. It was crowded and the food took a bit, but they seemed short handed for a weekday. I would recommend this to anyone and will be back for sure. read more

Amazing Deli - Delis Near Me - Midland, Michigan

Super cute downtown area. The food is amazing just like their name. We tried the chicken salad sandwich on a pretzel bun. Was so good.

I just don't get it. Your salads are a complete joke and your sandwiches are overpriced and underwhelming. You could at least add chips as a side. I don't understand why anyone would go here.... read more

I have gone here since i was four, the food is absolutely amazing! The service is awesome, employees get your food made quickly, And the ambiance is pretty nice read more

Great service, great sandwiches! Incredibly fast with our take out order, while it was very busy!

They always put out great food and do it quickly. The people working there are always very kind as well.

Not from around here and wanted to try a new place. Sandwiches looked tasty and plenty of awards have been given to this shop. Tried the #3 Goose's Reuben and the #19 Ed's Reuben, both were delicious and a reasonable $11. We were greeted in and told what they like and offered suggestions. Not a big deal but after getting the receipt we were charged .50 for subsisting Swiss cheese for pepper jack. Didn't think that would be an extra charge but doesn't discount the overall quality of the sandwich. Store was clean too, which is always nice to see! read more

Service good. Sandwich was great. Right in main part of downtown, we accessed it from bike trail. My only complaint was there was no prices listed anywhere on anything, that is concerning. read more

Amazing Deli - Front of building - Delis Near Me - Midland, Michigan

We were looking forward to eating at the Amazing Deli today. We stood at the counter, the only customers waiting to order, and patiently waited for someone acknowledge us. It appeared there was only one person working. I understand he was busy, but we waited so long we decided to leave. We told him he lost a customer simply because he didn't say hello. Instead of apologizing and helping us, he proceeded to argued with us and raised his voice and was very sarcastic. It's too bad, because we will never go back. read more

This deli is consistently good. We ride our bikes into Midland often and find the location easily accessible by car or bike. We love that they offer 1/2 sandwiches. The tuna salad sandwich is very good. The smoked Turkey is very good. We've never had a bad sandwich. Service is always good and quick. Check their hours before heading out. read more

I've been a regular at Amazing Deli for more than 10 years. They make the best deli sandwiches and they've been super consistent in their quality and service since day 1. Great place for a quick bite if you're in Downtown Midland. I would recommend the #1 and the #9. read more

This was the perfect place for a sit down lunch. Food was amazing. Highly recommend. Service was exceptional.

Always such a good experience coming in here...food was great, super friendly and helpful service and lots of help when my four year old inevitably spilled his water. We don't live in town but make a point to stop in when we are here on errands. read more

Every time I come here I have a great experience. I am gluten free and so is my 3 year old. They offer 2 types of GF wraps, GF chips and GF cheesecake. Service is always very friendly as well! read more

Food was good, though it was a little bit pricey for the portion you get. Would get again.

This was our first time here and it was so good! It will definitely be our go to stop when we're in Midland to eat. Staff was great, food was, well...amazing! Great location right downtown. read more

The staff was very kind and the food never disappoints! Great atmosphere and an awesome spot to grab a great lunch!

No prices listed anywhere, sandwiches were simple and definitely not worth the surprise cost. Some of the smallest portions I've ever seen. Mostly clean, employees attentive, food was pretty good for the three bites you got out of it. Possibly a good choice if you're a rich toddler. read more

I walked over from the H Hotel a block away for a quick non-hotel lunch. Not crowded at all at 1 pm, plenty of free tables. It's a typical neighborhood deli with lots of named sandwiches. Or you can build your own with choices of breads, meats and so on. Sandwiches are a decent size, not overloaded with meat and come with a pickle spear. They have drinks, chips and cookies. Nothing fancy but a good place for a quick bite. Clean and friendly service. read more

Not so amazing. I ordered a breakfast sandwich which came with 2 thin slices of bacon - the kind you buy that's been pre-cooked, thin-sliced ham similar to what you get from a package of Hillshire Farms from the grocery store and an egg. It didn't take them long enough to actually cook a fresh egg, so I assumed these egg patties are pre-made. No seasoning on the egg and it was served with a slice of american cheese on an onion roll. For breakfast? Blech. Seriously. While the egg and cheese were hot, you then bit into the ham which was ice-cold. If you're cooking a fresh egg on a flat-top, why not also warm up the ham, too, so it's all nice a warm rather than 2 disparate temperatures? I was the only person in the shop - why not take care and do it fresh and right? A breakfast sandwich done right is a thing of beauty and can make someone's day. I ate the egg, the 2 measly slices of bacon & left the rest. I tried the pickle which was crisp, but also no flavor. I don't understand: why not try to be more than mediocre? A huge waste of money at $8 and some change just for the sandwich. (Yes, that's correct: 8 dollars). I left hungry and grabbed a bag of Fritos instead from the gas station which is what I should've done in the first place. An expensive and disappointing experience. read more

The bread is very tasty and the turkey is delicious- not similar to slimy deli meat. The prices are a bit up there but the flavor is great. Highly recommend the turkey rueben! read more

Had a great experience here. The food was fresh and great. The sandwiches are stacked high and they don't skimp on meat. I had the goose ruben. The rye bread was delicious. Service was nice and fast. The young lady there was very friendly and ensured we where okay. I will defiantly be coming back my next trip through midland. read more

Amazing Deli - Goose Ruben - Delis Near Me - Midland, Michigan

So we turned up on a Sunday afternoon hungry, and we needed something delicious, quick, not too expensive. This hit the spot! Staff were friendly, explained the menu. 3 of us had different sandwiches - and all of them were awesome. I had the 'Moo and Cluck' - totally rate it! You can make/design your own, change your bread up (I went for Challah), they also have a good drink/salad/side selection. I only wish this place was local to me! I'd be there most days... :D read more

Amazing Deli - Moo and Cluck - Delis Near Me - Midland, Michigan

We were driving by Midland and found this deli. Absolutely delicious! We will definitely come back to try other sandwiches!

The sandwich was delicious! Super thin cut meat which I love. I gave 5 stars 100% for the quality of the sandwich. The staff was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly, granted we were the only ones in the store at the time. The prices are little high given that that they don't come with anything. All sides are a la cart. It does appear that they are comparable to the other deli's in town though. The place was pretty clean but not super high end or anything, just comfortable. I got the turkey club, my husband got the Cuban on a brioche bun and my daughter got the NY ham and cheese on brioche. We all liked our chosen sandwiches and look forward to being back in town to try another one. Give the place a try, they have a pretty large selection and will substitute on the specialty sandwiches. If you're visiting Dow Gardens, this makes a great late lunch stop afterward. They also have soup available but were out when we got there around 2:30. read more

I can't really get that excited about sandwiches so sorry that this review is biased. Although the service is efficient and you get a good amount of food, it seems like the price is high for what you get. I had The Smokey ($7.99) and added an egg (I think it was 80 cents). The bread is nice and is toasted well, and the lettuce is fresh and shredded to small pieces. But they put a LOT of meat, too much for me. I would rather they skimp a little on the meat and charge me less. read more

Should change name to Not Even Close to Being Amazing Deli. Man behind counter very rude. Will never go back. They only think amazing about this place is the fact that they are still in business! Walked out before I got to counter to place order. read more

What a great sandwich place. Stopped by because I had never been, and I'm glad I did. The sandwiches are light and fresh. There are a lot of unique options and you can also build your own. They also have a variety of hot dogs made with Koegels Dogs. To top it all off they deliver to anywhere in Midland. read more

The skinny on this place is that they make standard square sandwiches (unless you want a pretzel bun or something similar that isn't square) that are grilled on a sandwich press. They also serve hot dogs and soup. You can make most any sandwich a small combo which includes chips & a drink for an additional $3. The place is relatively small and kind of hip since it is located downtown in an older building. Our group had 4 different types of sandwiches including one with the pretzel bun and all with different types of meat. The meat is thinly sliced. The flavor was good and we did notice that they make a bid deal about where they source their ingredients. Pop is available either as a fountain or out of a cooler. Overall the place was just OK. I think the biggest complaint was that the toasted sandwich was a nice touch, but the meat and other sandwich toppings come out cold. I'm going to try and ask next time if they would grill the meat BEFORE putting it on the bread and then grill the sandwich - that way it turns out to be a great little melty, gooey, awesome toasted sandwich! Other complaints were that it was a little on the expensive side, and they slightly burned the bread on a couple of the sandwiches. I'm OK with a sandwich combo running over $10 - if I can get something that no one else makes - which makes me think of that "one of a kind" toasted sandwich I mentioned earlier. Yes that's the ticket that would make this the most Amazing Deli ever! read more

Fresh ingredients done right! If you're looking for a good sandwich this is the place to go in Midland. Nothing too fancy, just good quality food that is clearly made with love. We called in for pick up, our food was ready within 10-15 min of calling read more

Love this place, but untill the prep man starts wearing a beard cap, I'm not going back.

I first went to Amazing Deli back in 1999. It was my favorite restaurant in Midland while attending Northwood. Now every time we come back (only 3 times in the last 13 years) we go to Amazing Deli. It is still excellent and maybe even better. If you just want a great sandwich with quality ingredients and lots to chose from then you need to stop here. I had The Smokey (#12 I think). It was delicious. read more

Growing up around Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, I didn't realize deli-sandwich shops were hard to find. When I'm working in Midland, Amazing Deli is like going back home for lunch. Tasty, good quality sandwiches, short waits, immeasurably better than Jimmy John's. It's not quite Beezy's or Zingerman's Deli, but then again, there are lots of reasons we can't eat Zingerman's every day. read more

I've eaten at the Amazing Deli about five times in the last year or so. The staff is terrific -- cheerful, helpful and generally happy to be of service. Enough so that I'm willing to overlook some shortcomings because I'm interested in supporting a local business. There are a few areas where the deli could improve: First, a deli darn well better have bagels on the menu as a bread choice.I don't care if they are Lender's bagels from Wal-Mart and you pull them from a freezer. Delis need bagels. Second, I will disagree with the reviewers who call the meat portions generous. I'm wondering about their basis for comparison. I'd say they are bordering on skimpy, compared to what I would expect in a larger city. The people are amazing. The food is good. I'll be back. And I'll recommened it to friends. But there are some small but important changes that need to be made to live up to the restaurant's name. read more

I'm not normally a fan of delis, but Amazing Deli's sandwiches are amazing! Their environment in the restaurant is kind and nice. The people who work there are kind and are (obviously) good at what they do! For such nice food, it's a quick prep time. I was in and out of there within 5 min. Thank you amazing deli! I completely recommend this place! read more

I love the Midland Start breakfast sandwich from here! Other than that, the variety of sandwiches in a party tray from here are fantastic. The sandwiches on the menu may seem pricey, but in all fairness, they are pretty good. The staff here is very efficient and friendly, which I can definitely appreciate. Highly recommend if you're downtown and looking for somewhere to get lunch. read more
