I'm on the hunt for Michigan's greatest sandwiches... I know there are a ton, but I'm just going to whatever happens to be nearby my work day. Today I ended up near Saginaw, and I stopped by this establishment. It was packed at lunchtime! Seemed to be filled with locals/regulars, and I loved seeing that. The service was excellent, very nice folks taking orders and did it all with a genuine smile. I went with #1, Georgia Reuben! It was an excellent sandwich, the bread was a little underwhelming but the turkey and the slaw were absolutely delicious. If I was to order it again I would ask for light sauce, there was quite a bit and this bread wasn't meant to handle that much sauce. It got a tiny bit soggy. Sandwiches could be my favorite food and this place seems to make some amazing ones as I witnessed a restaurant full of happy customers. Looking forward to my next time. read more

I had the Chicken Cobb sandwich, and it was unique and delicious and was prepared really quickly! The servers were lovely, this was a great spot for a quick and yummy lunch! read more

Fralia's is a mom and pop lunch spot worth checking out. Menu is hand-written on a chalk board behind the counter, and they take your order on a note pad. Sandwiches are their specialty, but they also have an array of salads and various sides. I tried the #1 Georgia Reuben -- turkey, swiss cheese, coleslaw & 1000 Island, toasted on rye bread. It comes with ruffles potato chips and a pickle. My SO tried the #19 Turkey -- turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion with honey mustard on white bread. My reuben was delicious, but the chips could have been a bit more generous of a portion. My SO's #19 was a cold sandwich unbeknownst to us, so if you want it toasted make sure to ask. She also got a side of pasta salad which was delicious with its pesto sauce. Overall, Fralia's hit the spot on our way through Saginaw, and this place surely gets popular during lunch time. read more

Food- Flank steak sandwich is delicious. It was tender and the ciabatta bread soft. Green salad and Strawberry were fresh, light, and tasty. Great food , family friendly service quite unique for a restaurant in downtown Saginaw ! Will definitely be back soon read more

The food is always amazing! Whether you get soup, a sandwich or salad you can't go wrong. Also the peanut butter pie is wonderful.

To the owner, Make sure all kitchen staff is aware of food safety when handling and preparing customers food. I saw the owners daughter making my sandwich with no gloves and handling the bread, etc. bare handed, and when I confronted her calmly , she attempted to make me feel badly by responding with snarky insults after I requested a refund. How do I know it was the owners daughter because when I said to her, do you think the owner would be OK with you touching peoples food without gloves she said yeah it's my mom. read more

Outstanding. We ordered the Goodfella sandwich and the grilled flank steak sandwich. My goodfella was incredible with the most amazing bread, the texture was outstanding. The artichoke hearts and the store made pesto was a great addition. My husband really enjoyed the grilled flank steak sandwich. We both got bbq chips. Unfortunately not store made but it's still michigan made with Better Made chips. Also comes with a pickle. The service was friendly and fast. We came in at 2:50 pm so literally no wait. Be sure to check store hours bc I think they close in the afternoon. Street parking. I'll come again! read more

The food was fresh and delicious, the environment was warm and cozy (fresh flowers on each table!) and the service was amazing. They were so friendly and casual. A perfect lunch spot. Also affordable pricing. I had their best selling steak sandwich and I can see why it's their best seller. It came with chips and a pickle. read more

Always my go to lunch place. Very fresh, yummy salads. Super friendly staff. I love this place

The unique sandwiches and amazing soups and salads are worth the trip. This is one of those places that is perfect for lunch and you often wish was still open during the supper hour as well. It truly is worth every penny. read more

Love love love this food! Delicious generous portions and really nice staff. Found myself wishing for some color on the beige walls to make the experience even more uplifting. read more

Incredible sandwich shop in Old Town Saginaw! Huge menu of tasty choices, you won't get through the menu quickly! My son had a flank steak sandwich and I had a Goodfellow. We traded halves so we could get a taste of both. The were totally incredible! My wife had the steak salad, it was colorful, tasty, and a generous portion. Atmosphere is terrific, the place is clean, the staff friendly. Prices are very reasonable, in fact, I'd say the food quality makes this place an excellent value for a meal out. We all agreed that this is one of the nicest sandwich places we have found! We will definitely come here again! read more

Absolutely love the food! Exquisite service! My only complaint is that your restaurant is closed quite often & I think it's a bit too expensive for the quantity of food as well. If you weren't closed so much & if you make your portions a tiny bit bigger or lessen your prices a bit & these 3 stars will turn into 5 stars lol! Just a few suggestions, think it over. read more

Five stars are not enough. Excellent sandwiches, soups and cookies actually. Great ambience. This is a GEM.

In search of some grilled cheese and eclectic atmosphere, we found it for sure at Fralia's in Saginaw! Choice of 3 cheeses (out of 8 opt's) and bread (5 opt's), the sandwich was delicious. Tarragon sandwich was ordered as a salad and was a huge portion w/super tasty dressing. Apparently the locals like this place on Saturday afternoon as well, which is always a great sign! Would definitely recommend! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I love the grilled vegetable sandwich so much I think about it in other cities and wonder if there's a place that makes it just like they do. Desserts are amazing. Salads are a generous portion and very fresh. Cute building. They get very busy at times but I've always been able to get a table. read more

I had lunch there, today. A flank steak and blue cheese sandwich with chips and a drink. Pretty ordinary sandwich but there are a lot of folks there at lunch. The service was very good and the food was delivered quickly. It's the second time I've been there. I would go back. Well located in downtown Saginaw. read more

Haven't been in a while. Food has always been on point. My favorite is the spinach salad and a sandwich which I choose depending on my taste for the day. Of course, a cup of soup is always good, too. The only issue I have is lunchtime. It can be trying as you get in line, order, and then get someplace to set, which can be a situation in itself due to the popularity of the place. That is the only reason I gave it a four. Have a great meal if you choose to visit. read more

What a great Olde Town staple! The deli sandwiches are amazing the staff is super friendly and the vibes are great.

Great place to order ahead sandwiches for pickup on our way up north. Cute looking cafe. You could eat in too. If you need a break from driving. read more

Best Deli in town. Great food, and friendly service. True local gem.

Fresh, delicious sandwiches and the place is spotless clean!!! Perfect Old Town Saginaw location.

Stopped by Fralia's for lunch while in the Saginaw area on business. This place is great! I had the Jenny's Salad with organic greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, chickpeas, olives, feta, peppers & green onions, celery, beets, egg & beans with vinaigrette. The salad was very refreshing. I also tried the Grilled Flank Steak Sandwich with marinated grilled flank steak, havarti cheese, chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato & onion on soft grilled focaccia bread. It was the best sandwich I have had in a long time. The flank steak was very tender & flavorful. Overall, delicious lunch. I would definitely dine here again if I make it back to the Saginaw area. read more

Food is fantastic with an efficient friendly staff. Not many tables so your sandwich or salad to work or home.

A great place for lunch if you love sandwiches. Gets really packed during prime lunch hour but the staff was very nice. We totally did not see the "order before choosing a table" sign on the walls so they gently reminded us to order before claiming a table. I tried the roast beef au jus sandwich which was very yummy, but was not as 'stacked' as the description had me believe. I'd still order it again though. My fellow companions were pleased with the soups and tuna/chicken salad sandwiches as well. Cafe latte was sufficiently strong. A good meal for under $15. read more

Simply the most delicious, refreshing, quality food. Reliably quick and convenient too

We got some sandwiches and salads to go from here the other day and I have to say, the cobb salad was very delicious! I highly recommend this as well as the skirt skate sandwich. The place can get crowded on weekday lunches so I encourage you to call ahead and get it to go. You should be able to find some street parking either in front or one street over. The food is fresh and the staff is friendly! read more

We placed a take out order today and had great service! The staff on the phone and in person was so friendly and helpful. We had a Ruben, Cobb sandwich, veggie sandwich, grilled cheese & the Jenny salad. You can tell they use quality ingredients, all of our food was so flavorful and fresh! We really enjoyed it and will be back! read more

Looking for local fresh delicious food? FRALIAS IS ALL THAT AND MORE. Sandwiches were amazing & full of flavor

Nice atmosphere, clean, good sandwiches in all different styles, friendly people. Allegedly the main cook is not a vegetarian so he will not make vegetarian option soups & meat soup bases are added in everyone per staff reply when I asked why no vegetarian options were available. :-( Prices are a bit higher than other cafes like this one. Although you walk out feeling satisfied from the meal. read more

My absolute favorite place to have lunch! I love the flank steak sandwich and the Cobb salad.

Stopped by today for lunch. I checked their website first to make sure they are open. The website mentioned calling in orders and picking up orders, but it did not state that they do not offer a dine-in option. Looks like other people did the same thing.....there were 3 other couples that walked up to the door and walked away. read more
