I went to Cardinal Deli a few months ago, and I ordered a BLT sandwich and a Chicken Salad sandwich. The BLT wasn't bad, my wife said, but I have to tell you--the Chicken Salad sandwich was bland, runny, and came out of a bucket. The chicken salad seemed like it was premade and came in a bucket. It was disappointing to say the least. I'd give them another shot, but please learn how to make a good chicken salad. It's not that difficult, and I can make it at home, but that's not the point. I've been here a few times with the family. It looks leaps and bounds better at the new location. The food is always good but not great. The last time we went the food was bad. The pizza sub and BLT for the kids didn't come toasted which I assumed it would because I've never seen either not toasted anywhere in my life. Both got insanely soggy on the 3 minute drive home and my daughter ended up eating just the tomatoes and bacon and tossing the bread. Wife ordered a Rueben (grilled) which came out cold and not grilled at all. It tasted good after she put it in the oven for a few minutes. I ordered a grilled chicken club. It tasted decent but it was microwaved chicken not grilled which made it pretty rubbery and bland. read more

Local sub shop across from Saginaw Valley State University with excellent service. Get the medium-size subs, I prefer their wheat rolls. I usually stop by to pick up a catered lunch for my business clients and they always have my order ready to go. read more
