What happened to the concept of Chipotle? It is said to see something go down hill, but Chipotle really has that feel. What used to be a vibrant, exciting place with fresh food and fresh concepts has just fallen apart. We intentionally avoid the Monroeville Chipotle because of the poor food quality and service. But it seems like that is happening in Murrysville too. The employees don't seem very excited to have customers and the food quality has gone down hill. Poorly cut vegetables, soaking wet scoops of meat that run the tortillas, and usually a mistake with online orders... which is why we went ahead and ordered in person this time. I'm a big Chipotle mark ever since I perfected my bowl order. It took me about 8 years to get to this point. Bowl with white rice, pinto beans, chicken & steak (1 scoop of each), queso, medium & corn salsa, top that with cheese & lettuce. Perfect. Upon entering there was a sign that said no ice, red flag warm drinks. Come to find out they're out of steak as well, I opted to get chicken Al pastor. When I tell you the chicken was very burnt it's an understatement, grill was covered in this burnt substance. The cashier did tell me I have a nice beard so that brings them up 1 star. I placed a mobile order at this chipotle today. the estimated time for pickup was 8:28. I arrived a little before that and sat down to wait. I notice the blonde woman doing the mobile orders is only completing 1 order per every 5 minutes or so. The brown haired woman who was doing orders for the in store customers was doing around 7-8 bowls within the time frame the blonde mobile orders woman was doing one. It was now about 10 minutes past my pick up time and i was starting to get a bit irritated with the wait. Multiple other mobile order customers were starting to come in and wait for their orders as well. As about 8 of us were waiting for our orders the blonde woman stops making them to start flirting with a group of male teenage customers trying to get them to buy her a smoothie. This went on for about another 5 minutes all the while many of us were waiting for our orders. After seeing this I just tried to cancel my order because i wasn't going to stand around waiting while the woman who was supposed to be making the food was busy flirting with customers. Unfortunately since it was past the original pick up time doordash would not let me cancel. By the time my order was ready it was 20 minutes past the original pick up time. Food was fine and the rest of the staff seemed fine but i will not be returning due to my order being 20 minutes late because the worker wanted to flirt with customers. read more

I have always loved Chipotle because the food was is fresh and tasty. That being said, today's brisket bowl was not only disappointing but gross. I eat brisket all the time. I know the flavor and texture. Every bite of meat was gristle-y. There is no gristle in brisket, a fat cap, yes, completely different from gristle. The flavor of brisket wasn't there either. Something else in my bowl tasted nasty as well. I ate about a quarter of it and threw the rest away. The restaurant was cleaner than the last time I visited which was good, and there seemed to be adequate staff, which has also been an issue in recent times. Not sure I'll come back. We had a great experience today at the Murrysville Chipotle. Service was fast and they employees were all friendly. The last several Chipotle locations I'd been to didn't have the fajita veggies, and they had them here. It really makes my bowl so much better. Got my traditional bowl, white rice, black beans, chicken, corn, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. I feel like the portions of this bowl vary by location. They did great here and the bowl was very full. Tasted great too! Got some chips ... great as well. The dining room was clean as was the drink station. When I was filling up my water there was a team member going on break. He had tacos (which I didn't really realize they had) that looked great. He was friendly and had a great smile. My daughter loves this place and she was fretting some testing done in Pittsburgh, so she asked to go here. This was my first time , the workers were soooo quick and sooo very nice! They answered everyone question I had. I've never been a cilantro person so they even went out of there way to go to the back to get me just plain rice. After adding all the topping I like , it was delicious. Now I don't do Mexican foods very often but I am glad I at least tried it once. It reminded me of a burrito stand in El Cajon California that I loved only thing that wish they did have was a shrimp option like they did. What an awful experience. I went to the Murrysville for lunch today with my wife. When I got to the Counter to order the young lady spoke so softly I could not hear her. After saying excuse me three times she finally spoke louder, but then kicked into high speed. She spoke SO FAST that again I had no idea what she was saying. I ordered a Burrito. She put a whole serving spoonful of rice and my chicken.. then handed off to a the other guy. He asked if I wanted Queso I said yes so he puts a whole spoonful on.. then to the guacamole. I asked for just a little bit.. well, got another serving spoonful. When we got to the Table my wife looked at the receipt. It said I ordered a double portion of chicken. I did not. And they charged extra for the Guacamole and for the Queso. The bearded tattooed guy argued with her then finally gave her a Credit for the Double Chicken .. which I didn't get by the way. If it had been beans or lettuce, it would've been fine. But it was rice... My bowl was also absolutely freezing cold. I picked it up within 15 minutes. It's just weird that it was so cold. From the moment I walked in, the employees eyes screamed across the room, " HELP!" The mine was long but moved fast. We got up to the counter starving and we started with our rice, beans, and chicken which went well. Until...there was only 4 options for the entire topping section. The salsa definitely did not look like salsa. No lettuce, no tomatoes, no sour cream, corn salsa, onions, and the list goes on. So basically we got rice beans chicken quest guac and shredded cheese. The chips when you bite into them didn't even CRUNCH LOL. Those chips had to have been sitting there for hours. Anyways, don't go here. I've been back since to the Greensburg location and while out of state in VA and got my taste back for it again. Today I went back to murrysville and it's definitely just this location. Biggest complaint is the meat (chicken) is horribly salty... I hope they fix this for future business but I for one won't be back! read more

The food is always way too salty. All three times I have gotten food there I haven't been able to finish it because I can't stand how salty it is. There are also large chunks of jalapeño which can be unpleasant. Beans are watery as well. Other than the poor food quality, the service is good and the workers are nice. read more

A Chipotle Fan but this location really needs help. The meat was not of the usual high quality that I am used to at the Chipotle locations on Baum Blvd or Oakland in the City of Pittsburgh. The staff is friendly but needs better training. The portions were smaller too. Lastly, a staff member inadvertently left cabling to tie up the chairs on the sidewalk outside near the door, when they got busy. Clearly unintentional, but a better manager or supervisor would have caught this. Hope management reads this and learns from it. If not, the same fate that 5 Guys suffered (the previous tenant) will likely be repeated. Please step up your game Chipotle owner. Love your product but this location needs HELP! read more
