I really like this place. The food is really good. Seems no matter how busy we are always almost seated immediately and service is fast, friendly, and they check in with you to make sure all is well. The restaurant itself is interesting inside. My only issue is it's noisy in there. Probably because of the tin ceiling and concrete floors. read more

Stopped here for lunch and my friend and I split the Texas frajitas which had chicken, steak and shrimp. The meat was tender (even the steak) and had great flavor. Can I just say the interior design is on point?! Their Chihuly like glass lights are so cool! They also have different stained glass decor pieces all around the restaurant. Their service was prompt and friendly. The table next to us was celebrating a birthday, and all the servers came and sang them a song with a sparkler. The food was also really good. They have great complementary chips and salsa. My chicken chimichanga was crispy and tasty. Their fried icecream was pretty big, but wasn't quite what I expected. Ambiance: I enjoy the decor - not at all the type of Mexican food place where you think mom + pop. The seating was comfortable, General ambiance was good. Our server was great + attentive. Food: We ordered empanadas to split. - they were incredible! Probably my favorite out of what we ordered. We opted for 2 chicken + 2 beef. + if given the option to get again would probably order all chicken next time. I order the carne asada tacos- they were a bit dry but overall still good. They came with a side of rice + beans, enjoyable + a great compliment to the tacos. Upon entry I was not expecting it to be as nice as it was for the location, this is a restaurant you'd expect to walk into vacationing somewhere, not in White Oak. The staff and servers were friendly and very attentive to our needs. They closed the curtain/blinds for us as we were seated without even needing to ask. They brought out fresh chips and salsa while we decided on what to order. The food came out perfect and was presented exceptional. Really great Mexican! First impressions, the place is huge and the guacamole is amazing! Chips and salsa are good although they bring the chips in a very small bowl. I think we had 3-4 refills. We have been eating at this establishment since it has opened. Initially, the food and service were very very good. Through the years since we've been eating there, the quality of both has steadily declined. I'm not a person to leave negative reviews and only leave positive reviews when warranted. The last 3 times that we've gotten take-out, I was mulling over whether to leave a negative review. After today's order, I had to finally write one. 2 out of of 3 items on our order were wrong and the quality and taste have plummeted to the point where I don't think we'll be eating in or ordering out from this place. It seems that once a restaurant has established a customer base and following in the area, the quality of service, food and ingredients soon after begins to be lowered. They have continuously screwed up our orders and I can't even justify trying to eat substandard food which we've paid good money for. The prices have also seem to skyrocketed but I'm fine with that if I'm receiving something of subsequent value. I'd gladly pay top dollar for food that is worth it but this food is just getting disgusting. I didn't take pictures of my families other order but I'm going to leave one of a Chile rellenos which somehow had 1/4" of disgusting soggy breading but the pepper itself had to have been frozen prior to cooking because it turned to absolute slop once it was cooked. The food is just no longer any good. I wish the case was different as it is very close to my house and I was very pleased up until the last year or so but I'll drive the extra 15 mins to Acapulco in North Huntingdon. We switched to Plaza Azteca after they opened due to the close proximity to our home but the drive is worth it. read more

We get takeout from here ALL the time and are never disappointed. Happy to say that dine-in went just as well! My husband tries different burritos and has enjoyed every one so far, so he'd say you really go wrong if it sounds good to you. The decor is clean and while a bit dark still feels comfortable. Staff was nice and attentive. The margaritas were perfect and not overly sweet like some places. My normal go to are Al pastor street tacos but they have an al pastor quesadilla that I had to try and I am happy I did. It was amazing. The only down side it's that it is a bit pricey then most places I am used to. Also we unfortunately had to be sitting next to a "Karen " who complained about everything and her so called allergies to everything. If your that allergic to things maybe stay home... I was very excited when this place was built and at first it did live up to my expectations. However, they have started slacking when it comes to take out orders. They used to give you multiple bags of chips when you ordered separate dips like guacamole and cheese. Now, they only give you one bag even though people dining in get unlimited chips. So if you place an order for multiple people and they all order a small cup of $6.00 cheese, you have to pay an additional $3.50 for a bag of chips. From the outside, it dosent look like much. But let me tell you, when you walk in, its beautiful!
