Sadly, the quality of food plummeted a while ago. I kept hoping they'd bounce back and I've tried other things on the menu since they've ruined everything I used to love, but none of that has been good either. Their ground beef now has more carrots & potatoes than beef (tho these ingredients are NOT listed on the menu). The seafood mix used in the chimichangas, enchiladas, etc. now has more celery than seafood. Sometimes when you order something without onions they say okay, then bring it with onions. And you find out that you can't get that item without Indians anymore (even tho you've had it without onions before), but they didn't tell you. I'm not allergic to onions, so it hasn't even dangerous, but I know people who are allergic to them. It's dangerous. The taco salad has almost no lettuce tonight, but that seemed like a tonight issue, not a general menu change. Tonight, I ordered the al pastor nachos without beans & pico with jalapeños on the side. I was asked if I wanted the sour cream. I said it doesn't have that. He said it did. The guacamole was on the menu. Sour cream was not. I got it on the side so I could give that to my fiancé with the jalapeños. But what if he hasn't asked? It's not on the menu, so I couldn't have known. When I got my nachos, there were a TON of onions. There were no onions listed on the menu. I'm not allergic, but I didn't want them and they were very annoying to pick out. They were everywhere and covered with cheese. Allergies can send people to the hospital. I wouldn't feel safe going there with anyone who has any food allergies. I can't trust them to put the ingredients on the menu. It's close to Costco, which is why we keep giving it more tries, but we're continually disappointed by a restaurant we used to like. There's no great Mexican food here for someone who lived in SoCal for a long time, but the used to be passable. Now, I'd recommend you avoid it. Our waiter actually told me there weren't carrots in the empanadas, but there was a language barrier. The other waiter came and explained they were in the mix. I like carrots, but not cooked carrots. And don't want meat that is mostly potatoes & carrots. They said the chicken doesn't, but 100% of the time I've tried the chicken, it's been way overcooked. If I ever want to go to a Mexican restaurant and know ill get good margs and good food and im out in Robinson I go to Plaza Azteca. Im actually from where the original is located in VA beach so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that there was one located here. I usually get the Pina Loca and share it with my boyfriend. Its pineapple, chicken, steak, peppers and onions all cooked inside the pineapple with queso. Its sooooo good! Plenty to share and it comes with a side of rice. The service is always quick and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself has PLENTY of seating and a huge parking lot for everyone to park. It's always a constant and stable good time whenever I go here. Quick to sit and the waiters are always friendly. Plus it helps it has cute decor on the inside too! read more

Stopped here for dinner after some errands in Robinson and was delightfully surprised! They give you complimentary chips and salsa that are clearly very fresh and delicious. I ordered the Mexican fried rice with chicken and it was very flavorful! Food was flavorful and plentiful. They have many options and many different flavor directions to go. We loved the table side fresh guacamole, which was mashed in front of us. The crispy shrimp also came out perfectly fried and tasted really good. Drinks were standard, also a lot of options. Our entrees were all enjoyed but some pieces came out cold. I was born & raised in the Mexican border. I know what authentic is. This is close. The food and flavors were very good. Warm chips with a good, red salsa, we're a great start. The chips were really good! My wife had the enchiladas suizas, full of flavorful chicken and covered in a green tomatillo sauce and sour cream. She loved them. Me? I always order steak tacos. Always. These were not only good, but they were chock full of tender, juicy steak and topped with onions and cilantro, as an authentic taco should be. (See attached photo) As for service, our waitress (Hellen) was fantastic. Very attentive, polite and kept our glasses full. Can't ask for much more than that. I dropped in for dinner last night. I was craving fajitas. Parking is a breeze, since they have their own parking lot right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant has a setup to handle large parties. You can sit at the bar or in a booth. I was seated right away. The waitress was helpful and friendly. The menu has vegetarian and regular options to choose from. I had the fajitas with steak, shrimp and chicken, along with beans and rice, with sour cream and pico de Gallo, chased down with a raspberry iced tea. We were staying nearby so we thought we'd check out this place. The food was pretty good, all dishes were well prepared and came out hot and fresh. I tried the seafood enchiladas, daughter had chimichangas, son had fajitas and wife had soup and elote. We loved it all. The service was outstanding. A waitress brought out a dish she thought was ours but was supposed to go to a different table. The manager quickly came over, told us to keep it and rushed to get the correct item we were still waiting on. The waiter was super apologetic even though it wasn't a big deal. I've heard so much about this place, I had to try it for myself. I love the decor so much! Feels really fun. Our server was great, so friendly. I ordered the fireball margarita which I loved and a spicy fresh which was eh. We loved the plantains app, absolutely delicious. The empanadas were okay, they could use a sauce or maybe some seasoning. I got the Chori Pollo. They were so great to swap out the refried beans for black beans. Amazing food and service every dang time! I came in on a solo mission to satisfy a pregnancy craving. They met my every request+ went above and beyond. They gave me a nice private booth in the corner so I didn't stand out like a sore thumb amongst full tables and they HOOKED ME UP with so many cherrys to accompany my cherry coke. Terrible customer service. I ordered 52 dollars worth of food over the phone, and they told me it would take 15 minutes. When I got there they said they never got my order. I then had to show them the number I called to confirm it was their restaurant. After I asked them if they were going to make it right somehow because my time was wasted. Stopped by for an after dinner margarita on the outdoor patio one weekday evening. I was greeted immediately upon entering the building, greeted along the way to my table, and my server was pleasant and prompt. I ordered the spicy fresh margarita and was also brought complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were freshly made, still warm, and lightly salted. The salsa had good flavor and a little bit of heat. The margarita was beautifully made, had a floral garnish, and was rimmed with tajin, per my request. I thought the size and quality of the margarita was exceptional, though maybe not totally worth the $18 price. The patio itself is newer to this location, has about 6-8 tables with umbrellas, and is located in their parking lot. The view isn't the best, but they did make it comfortable and kept it clean. The bathrooms were on the smaller side for a restaurant this large, clean, but one of the two paper towel machines was empty. While the service is always efficient here and the food tasty, I take issue with what I experienced today. I noticed the new menu when I was seated and a slight increase on the lunch entrées I have gotten in the past. Fine, everything is going up. I get it. I ordered the lunch entrée and asked to leave off the refried beans and sour cream because I don't eat them, and asked for a little extra pico. When the bill came, I noticed that I was charged $16 for an entrée that was listed for 14.50 on the menu. Although I didn't still have the menu I checked online and the price for the entrée was 13.25 online. (The old price.) I asked the server and she said she was new and didn't know. I asked her if I could see a menu again and sure enough it was 14.50. She asked me if I wanted her to check with her manager and I said yes, doesn't it make sense that the price I'm charged should match the price on the menu? She did not wholeheartedly agree, but went to "speak to the manager" nonetheless. When she came back, she explained the extra $1.50 was for the extra pico. I said that I didn't have sour cream or refried beans so why couldn't they comp the pico? She said it was extra so I had to pay for it. I also didn't use a straw or sweetener in my iced tea, do you think I got a discount for that? It just seems a little arbitrary - if you're going to gouge me for 2 oz. of pico - then give me a break for the food I deleted from my order. It doesn't have to be anything formal, but it's just a nicety. And take a moment to update your online menu, that would be nice. I won't be back. read more

We recieved a gift for Christmas December 2025, on January 3rd 2026 we had dinner there. At 12:30 pm they said we could not order from the lunch menu then at the end of the meal we attempted to redeem our gift card and they refused it saying they didn't have the system to process it and gift cards are non refundable so we couldn't cash it in. I wish I took photos of the decor as it was beautiful as well as dim lighting and comfortable large table booths. Our waiter was very attentive and I was surprised that they make table side guacamole (bring cash for tipping!). The guac was very fresh and they make it according to ingredients and spice level you want. We also tried their salsa and queso dips which were very good. Their menu is huge and hard to choose from. I got the Tacos al Pastor ($14) pictured that also came with beans (refried or black) and rice. They were very filling, flavorful and great portion for the price. I also had a small coconut margarita ($8.99) which was just the right amount of coconut but tasted like it had no alcohol in it. I came here because it was close to my hotel and I could walk. Walk in nothing special about the place. Sat at the bar, ordered a drink and received chips and salsa. Then I looked over the menu and thought it was ok for a chain restaurant. I decided on shrimp tacos and was hesitant because the description was lackluster, but went for it anyway. My order came out and I was shocked it was grilled popcorn shrimp and it didn't look appealing. Looked at the flour tortillas and I was glad to see they seemed to be fresh and grilled. Took my first bit and I was shocked how good they were. Fresh, shrimp was done great and the toppings were amazing. Talk about don't judge a book by its cover. I would most definitely get these again. I would ask for some kind of cream-a sauce next time but they were good just as is. I'll definitely eat back next time in town. read more
