Drive thru

Well I have had many experiences here. Most for a long time were iffy at best and probably didn't even deserve one star but the last few times I decided to try them again everything was on point and the service was phenomenal.

This is the mystery plastic i pulled out of my burrito and mouth. No more TB for me.

If you read reviews on Taco Bell's then this review is probably not suited for you. When I went through the drive-through at 1:30 PM there was one car waiting at the pick up window. The woman on the speaker asked me to wait. When she came back from my order I ordered a burrito supreme. And apologized for overwhelming them. She asked if I wanted any sauces and I said yes fire please. Two minutes later when I pulled up to the window I was handed a bag give them my money I got my change pulled into a parking spot and no sauce, no napkins, just a burrito in a bag. I went back through the drive-through and ordered a second burrito supreme and told them I did not receive any sauce on my first one. Since there's nobody in mine I quickly moved to the window and was handed a bag. Lesson learned, I looked into the bag before pulled away and found 15 fire sauces. So, on my second bite of the burrito something is pulling out of the burrito like a long piece of lettuce or something. It turns out it was a huge piece of plastic about 7 inches long.

Biscuit Taco (no meat), guac, pico, & cheesey-saucey goodness! Definitely loaded in carbs but totally worth it.

Service was slow, all of our dishes were served warm at best (mine was cold), only exception being the fajitas which were served steaming hot. I had enchiladas plus a taco. Not very flavorful and skimpy on the fillings. A lot of tortilla and sauce but very little meat. My wife had the chili rellenos and while deep fried on the outside the cheese inside wasn't melted. One friend had the dish that they serve flaming (can't recall its name and I didn't get a pic) and it was meh. The fish tacos also not a highlight. The steak fajitas were said to be pretty good. Also note, chips and salsa are not complimentary, they charge $3.50 for soda water and have a sign at the entrance notifying a 5% discount if paying cash (i.e. a 5% credit card fee). I'm not sure if this was just an off night for them or not but there are a few Mexican spots in the area that are consistently good (Plaza Azteca in White Oak and El Campesino in Monroeville). I likely won't try Madero again.

The tortilla was crispy and flavorful and was complemented by a tasty filling of steak and cheese. Impressed by the entrees we ordered flan and this was also quite good. Dayana was an attentive and skilled server. Hope to have her as our server on future visits. We were early diners so can't speak to serving speed as the kitchen didn't have much to do but being early we were able to appreciate the decor and quality look of the restaurant. It is a nice addition to Murrysville.

Maybe because I'm more interested in food quality and service and having instagram photo opportunities. The first time I was there, it was kind of a hot mess express (but it was not too long after it opened so I figured maybe it was just growing pains). Basically all the tables were full and they didn't seem to have enough staff to keep up with the high amount of patrons. Service was slow and they were unable to answer some seemingly simple questions about menu items. Food was good, but it wasn't anything that gave me a wow factor or made me say "I definitely need to come back here" Especially since most of their food was more expensive than other local Mexican restaurants. The second time I returned, service seemed to be a little smoother, but everything did still take longer than you would expect. They were out of some things you would think would be staples and have a lot of and things like water refills took awhile. Overall, it isn't a bad place and the food is good. It is just overpriced and overhyped for what it actually is.

I called ahead to place by order and the cashier was really friendly and the food was ready in 15 min. Unfortunately, the food lacked a lot of flavor. My chicken tinga burrito was very bland which was strange because chicken tinga typically is packed with flavor. I didn't even finish it :( My husband had 3 tacos - steak, chorizo, and pastor. The chorizo was fine but the steak and pastor also didn't have any flavor. I would like to try this place again, hopefully it was just an off-day.

The wait time wasn't too long even though there were about three orders before mine. The inside is small but still enough room for a few people to eat however I took mine to go and it was still super hot by the time I got settled down to eat it. I got the beef burrito and it was good I would have preferred to to have something fresh/cold inside it though like guac or salsa. The chicken empanada though was perfect so much flavor the onions and the sauciness was perfect and it was fried to perfection. Lastly they don't label which salsa is which so I got a pinkish one that was HOT the green was mild and delish. If you're not sure just ask them
