I have not been to Chipotle's since it first opened. I went twice this week both times food was disappointing. The steak was overly salted (can't eat it) and burndt, rice -cold and guacamole had a brown crust but server still gave it to me. Can't believe there can be a bad visit with Chipotles. read more

If I could leave less than one star I would. This is the absolute worst chipotle I have ever experienced. I work in this area on weekends and every weekend it is the same. The restaurant does not open on time and all the workers just sit eating after opening time for up to 15 min just looking at the line outside the door. They never have certain meats that my home chipotle does, they either say it's not ready yet or it's sold out. It doesn't matter the time you come that's their excuse. I never have this problem at my home chipotle in Pittsburg. It's a waste of time and money. read more

A smaller Chipotle than I'm used to, the line was snaking through the restaurant and was even blocking the entrance doors to an extent. However, the line moved relatively quickly and I was ready to place my order within 5-10 minutes. They have all the standard offerings here and I went with my regular chicken burrito bowl, brown rice, black beans, corn, sour cream, cheese, and hot sauce. Yummy. I also got an order of chips on the side to eat with my meal. The reason why I gave this place the number of stars I did was because the rice that I got here was super bland. Usually, there's a little more flavor or seasoning mixed in but it was essentially just tasteless grains interspersed with the rest of the ingredients. Given this, I think the meal would have been better sans rice. read more

Hmmm not sure what went wrong for this spot to earn such a low score, it's been kind to me tho! Since it's literally just downstairs I've been here quite often whenever I just wanted a quick meal. A bit downside is that they can't use gift card at the shop, but I've been redeeming them online without any issues. Portion was decent, ingredients are good, staffs are nice and friendly, what's not to like?! read more

It's chipotle so I can't quite make it to 5 stars. This location is pretty good. It's gets a lot of business so the food always seems very fresh. The service is good as well. I did the order ahead and I would not suggest that. It's always better when they make it in front of you. This one always seems to have friendly quick service. read more

I don't know if it's only this location but the 80% of the time forget to give us our paid guacamole and chips , this is ridiculous. I always tell my husband to check if the chips are in the bags or not . I usually go back and ask for what we have paid . Food is ok if you don't t want to cook . 70 % of the time the chips are staled I rate Burlingame location a 4 So disappointed. I personally don't get chipotle anymore! read more

This is the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. Because it's nearby, I have ordered take out 4-5 times and every time they make mistakes. From missing entire items, to the wrong ingredients, to making you wait an hour for a take out order which has a scheduled pick up time. They used to have a rack to pick up your order, but they got rid of it because it seems their preferred method is to not make any of it until the customer arrives and inquires about the order. Once that happens, they give priority to the people in line so you're just waiting for nearly the entire line to empty before they make your order. It's always a mess, understaffed, and super disorganized. Nothing like bringing your order home and discovering you have to go right back. I understand sometimes it gets busy and there could be a wait, but the order is wrong. EVERY SINGLE TIME, they get it WRONG. read more

Been ordering from here since long time. But for past few months the accuracy of orders has gone from bad to worse. But today was the worst that I have seen. My wife's sofritas order had incorrect ingredients, unwanted lettuce and cheese. It also had pieces of meat in it. She is vegetarian and having a piece of meat in her food was just sad. Lots of cross contamination here! I tried calling the restaurant but no one picked up the phone. I don't have a car so can't walk another mile to go to restaurant to complaint. If you give bad feedback in app, they just give a free burrito to make it up but the accuracy and quality doesn't improve. Just train your employees better and follow basic food safety protocols. I just don't want to order from here anymore. read more

Dirty tables, messy floors and overflowing garbage... unbelievable! So unsanitary for a restaurant of any kind.

I love this location! And they recently announced months ago that they are now open until 11 PM. But unfortunately, when you arrive anytime after 10 PM, you will notice that they have run out of many items after 10 PM. Tonight, Saturday night at 10:20 PM I went inside to order a chicken burrito and 2 chicken bowls, and they were completely out of chicken and already cleaning the grill. So just a heads up that if you arrive after 10 PM and want a certain ingredient, they may not have it. So, even though they're open until 11 PM, it is with modified ingredients, such as tonight with no chicken available and no lettuce available and No chips and no guacamole. I'm happy that they are open until 11 PM, but after 10 PM, do not expect all ingredients to be available. I ordered 3 steak items because they did not have chicken. And the steak was very spicy tonight. If they are cleaning the grill at 10:20 PM when I walked inside, they probably started to clean it earlier, so they have no intention of making sure that chicken is available anytime after 10 PM. Even though they're open until 11 PM. read more

I am very disappointed in myself for not only getting bad service and experience from this location not once, not twice but even yes, a third time! I stopped going to this location 2 years ago since I last left a bad review for this location but I just figured, it's been a while , maybe those were 2 unlucky isolated incidents. To my dismay, and displeasure, I had another bad encounter with this Chipotle. My last time, I have learned and will only go to the one in Tanforan Mall or go to Daly City! Yesterday I ordered from here and even tipped 7 dollars for my 40 dollar order for 2 burrito bowls! I figured if I tipped good that I would get my order faster and I might as well make it worth while . Anyhow when my Son and I received our order that came rather quickly, which Was GREAT btw but we were shocked when we removed the tin tip off both our orders! There was barely anything in them!!! Not even a full scoop of rice and we ordered an extra portion of meat on one and with guacamole and they didn't even give that!!! I refuse to order from here ever ever again. Fool me three times , already a fool, never again! Love Chipotle but NOT THIS ONE!!!! read more

This has to be the worst location I've been to the place is filthy we came in the evening for a quick bite and every single table had trash on it the floor was covered in spilled food and the workers just standing I had to clean our own table to be able to eat also we don't eat beef and we found multiple pieces in my wife's vegetarian bowl read more

Food is as expected, but service was absolutely TERRIBLE! My daughter ordered a steak bowl, and requested for extra rice because she only wanted steak, rice, corn salsa, and lettuce. The guy helping us purposely overpacked the bowl with rice, and continued on having a hard time securing the lid onto the bowl. He continued to ridicule us and said to the cashier, "well, that's what happens when you want sextuple amount of rice!" All we said was, "extra rice" because she didn't want beans, grilled veggies, etc. Chipotle, do better with hiring your employees especially on the customer service end! read more

Literally every time I order pickup or delivery from this location, they mess up my order. This time they forgot to add rice and sour cream to my bowl. Another time they'll add the wrong meat, or forget another side. They also give significantly less than other locations. This time there was barely anything in the bowl. Another time, they were over 30 minutes late with my pickup order. This will be the last time I order from here. Save yourself the hassle and order from another location. read more

Disappointing is an understatement. Delicious, healthy food and fresh, local ingredients: + 2 stars. Painfully slow service and less than accommodating staff: - 3 stars. A catering order placed in advance should not take over 20 minutes past the designated pickup time. If a business is understaffed despite knowing that a large order must be fulfilled, it's the Manager's responsibility to either let the client known up front about the delay or find a way to adequately staff the establishment to meet the agreed upon deadline. I spoke with Jared, the manager on duty on 12/15/14. He advised our 30 item order would be available for pickup closer to 11:15am than my requested 11am. I arrive promptly at 11:15am and staff are chit chatting as the growing number of patrons in line grows thicker. I was asked by the cashier to have a seat and "give (them) a few more minutes" for the crew to have our orders ready. After 51 minutes past the pickup time... I was offered a complimentary water cup for my unbearable wait... Isn't tap water complimentary anyway? Eric, the manager on duty during pickup on 12/16/14, apologized for my wait. He empathized and said he wished they were more appropriately prepared for our order. ONE HOUR AND FORTY MINUTES LATER, Eric kindly assisted me to my car with three large catering boxes. Luckily I took EVEN MORE TIME to account for each of the thirty orders myself. As I'm in the parking lot reconciling our order, Eric comes back out to my car, apologizing that his crew missed two entrees not included in the boxes. By the time I arrived to the office with our food, staff's lunch breaks were over and to our dismay, the food was cold and soggy. An unacceptable total of 1 hour 45 minutes wait for a subpar meal. This disastrous experience makes me weary of using Chipotle again to cater for a large group. read more

Ordered from this place via Uber Eats. Ordered 4 things: large chips and large guac, small chips and salsa, burrito, salad with dressing on the side. Order arrived but was missing the large chips and dressing on the side. Called the store 4 times, no one picked up. Now I have lots of guac and no chips to eat them with and a salad without dressing. I recently came here the other night for a quick and easy dinner to pick up. I love chipotle personally and how you can make it your style and it's so quick and easy. I love how on the app you can order ahead and earn points. Well I did order ahead this last visit and when I came to pick up. I found my bag ready in the mobile order pick up section. I grabbed my bag with my name on it and I opened it and saw it had what I ordered. That took a few seconds. In those short moments one of the staff members yelled from behind the counter at me asking what I was doing. I mean her delivery and tone was off and honestly just rude. I check my bags before I leave any restaurant or drive thrus to make sure it's right. I didn't like that so that's why it's getting two stars taken off. Very unpleasant interaction unfortunately. read more

I'm giving 2 stars only because the chips and queso were ok. My husband ordered a steak burrito bowl and the steak tasted like liver no kidding liver. I had the chicken burrito bowl and the chicken was like card board. This is a meal we order often at our local Chipotle so you would think they would taste similar but that was not the case. Why do I always seem to come to Chipotle on a day when they're training someone new? I've been to two different Chipotles and someone new has always rung me up, and rung me up wrong! Chipotle needs to better streamline their ordering process because there always seems to be a hold up, whether it's the customization piece of the puzzle or the new employee learning curve, something's always holding up the line! I'm a huge Chipotle fan and will probably continue to remain a loyalist despite their repeated health outbreaks. I've come on my own and even when they offer free food vouchers to win back customers. I came in to this particular location to redeem my free chips and guac along side my steak burrito bowl. The new employee who rung me up, bless his heart! You can tell he was struggling but was generally trying really hard to be good at his new job. He accidentally rung me up for a side of guac when it should have been free. I returned back in line so they could rectify my situation and luckily the manager in charge happily refunded me my money. Aside from this incident, this is a solid Chipotle. I say that because they scoop bigger portions than other Chipotles I've been to! No skimping here. I can get down with that. My usual order is a steak burrito bowl with brown rice, steak, black beans, medium sauce, pico, sour cream, lettuce, guac, and cheese. Basically the whole sha-bang! My bowl was piled high, no measly portions here! The steak was a bit too chewy but nothing inedible. Overall, this is one of the more solid Chipotles. Come here if you want to get your money's worth in positions. read more

Crapotle! I don't understand how this company does business in California with all the amazing Mexican food we have. But damn if they aren't crowded every time I go. Which is usually once every two or three years. Got a steak burrito and it was a pretty big disappointment. I tried to get one a few days ago and out of some reason they were out of tortillas. How does that happen. Finally was back in the area again and decided to give it a try to make sure I didn't like it. I was reassured in my choice needless to say. I'll just start with everything individually. The tortilla itself, super super rubbery. To the point where my teeth can't even get through it and I was just yanking like a shark. Next is the steak. What a mess. Seemingly over cooked and very hard and what I thought was gristle but it was actually just that chewy and tough of a steak. No real Discernible grill flavor. I could barely grind the pieces up at all and was basically just smashing them with my teeth and swallowing them whole. Beans and rice are OK. It's beans and rice, what can you say about it. But I think the race just had a ton of sugary lime in it. The guacamole seem to be pretty good but again it's very heavily flavored with lime. And the burrito as a hall really lacks seasoning. Unfortunately as usual because they fold them a different direction then they make them all the ingredients end up in a little pockets. So you have one side is all rice and then towards the beginning it's nothing but bites of steak, Then in the middle you'll just have four mouthfuls of guacamole cheese and salsa. And then the last five bites of the burrito are nothing but rice. And of course it doesn't help that they roll them so fat that it's basically a burrito ball. Finally is that strange chipotle coldness. I think because they super chill the guacamole and cheese and sauces for food safety it cools off everything so you never really get a nice fresh hot burrito. It's always kind of room temperature with a really cold side where all those cold ingredients are. It's generally unpleasing. Obviously since the ingredients aren't that spectacular to start with the burrito as a whole falls flat. I'm sure I'm spoiled because I have 1 million really nice taco trucks and taqurerias close by. Looking at the ratings it may be best particular store but I do know that the location in San Mateo closed So I'm sure I'm not not alone. read more

I ordered pickup 30mins before hand and lined up to retrieve my order. There was a long line and we were all waiting for workers to come and retrieve our order. There were a lot of orders ready on the shelf inside. Nobody came to help us pick up our orders for a very long time. This has happened every time I've picked up from here. Preston really made a difference in my chipotle visit. I came in on new year's eve. And lately I've been getting people who are stingy with the portions like they get a commission. Presto was fair with his portioning. Not only that, he was professional, speedy and personable. Really made a difference in my day and maybe the arc of my year. Thank you! I'll definitely be back again. read more

This Chipotle is run like a soup kitchen during the Great Depression. If you show up, you'll have to wait in a long slow moving line. If you order ahead, you'll have to wait in the same long slow moving line (but they've pre-printed your receipt). This place is also BOYF (bring your own fork) in case you want to dine-in, which I don't recommend because the aforementioned long slow moving line snakes through the dining area. If you somehow make it up to the front of the line, there's typically no soup left (how do you run out of salsa?). You must take your pickings, however slim, and retreat back to your family whose eager and anxious faces you will undoubtedly disappoint as they tear through a now somehow soggy paper bag. Hopefully you like to eat "family style" because whatever your wife ordered has now leaked onto your tacos. Reading comprehension unfortunately is not a prerequisite for hiring at this Chipotle. A side of guac with your burrito bowl some how got misinterpreted as a quesadilla with sofritas! Truly remarkable. Things you can do around Milbrae/Burlingame that takes less or equivalent time as getting a burrito from this Chipotle: 1. USPS - buy a stamp from a government employee 2. DMV - get a REAL ID 3. Milbrae Caltrain - Go to a Giants game in the city and come back on a 30 min late train read more

Yes, I am a proud regular. Chipotle has become one of the restaurants that just pops in my head when I get hungry. You know? When you get hungry and you start to think of what you might want to eat and you start to think of the cuisine......... anyways. Burrito is good. But I enjoy the bowls!! Mmmm.. It just feels like they're giving me more food when I get it in the bowl. Is that just me? There's an open kitchen behind the counter. You can witness the freshly made salsa and grilled meat on the chopping board. MMMM delicioso. Staffs are very quick. Fast hands!! How fast can a fast-food get?? Amazing.
