Been ordering from here since long time. But for past few months the accuracy of orders has gone from bad to worse. But today was the worst that I have seen. My wife's sofritas order had incorrect ingredients, unwanted lettuce and cheese. It also had pieces of meat in it. She is vegetarian and having a piece of meat in her food was just sad. Lots of cross contamination here! I tried calling the restaurant but no one picked up the phone. I don't have a car so can't walk another mile to go to restaurant to complaint. If you give bad feedback in app, they just give a free burrito to make it up but the accuracy and quality doesn't improve. Just train your employees better and follow basic food safety protocols. I stopped going to this location 2 years ago since I last left a bad review for this location but I just figured, it's been a while , maybe those were 2 unlucky isolated incidents. Food is as expected, but service was absolutely TERRIBLE! My daughter ordered a steak bowl, and requested for extra rice because she only wanted steak, rice, corn salsa, and lettuce. The guy helping us purposely overpacked the bowl with rice, and continued on having a hard time securing the lid onto the bowl. He continued to ridicule us and said to the cashier, "well, that's what happens when you want sextuple amount of rice!" I recently came here the other night for a quick and easy dinner to pick up. I love chipotle personally and how you can make it your style and it's so quick and easy. I love how on the app you can order ahead and earn points. Well I did order ahead this last visit and when I came to pick up. I found my bag ready in the mobile order pick up section. I grabbed my bag with my name on it and I opened it and saw it had what I ordered. That took a few seconds. In those short moments one of the staff members yelled from behind the counter at me asking what I was doing. I mean her delivery and tone was off and honestly just rude. Crapotle! I don't understand how this company does business in California with all the amazing Mexican food we have. But damn if they aren't crowded every time I go. Which is usually once every two or three years. Got a steak burrito and it was a pretty big disappointment. I tried to get one a few days ago and out of some reason they were out of tortillas. How does that happen. Finally was back in the area again and decided to give it a try to make sure I didn't like it. I was reassured in my choice needless to say. I'll just start with everything individually. The tortilla itself, super super rubbery. To the point where my teeth can't even get through it and I was just yanking like a shark. Next is the steak. What a mess. Seemingly over cooked and very hard and what I thought was gristle but it was actually just that chewy and tough of a steak. No real Discernible grill flavor. I could barely grind the pieces up at all and was basically just smashing them with my teeth and swallowing them whole. Beans and rice are OK. It's beans and rice, what can you say about it. But I think the race just had a ton of sugary lime in it. The guacamole seem to be pretty good but again it's very heavily flavored with lime. And the burrito as a hall really lacks seasoning. Unfortunately as usual because they fold them a different direction then they make them all the ingredients end up in a little pockets. So you have one side is all rice and then towards the beginning it's nothing but bites of steak, Then in the middle you'll just have four mouthfuls of guacamole cheese and salsa. And then the last five bites of the burrito are nothing but rice. And of course it doesn't help that they roll them so fat that it's basically a burrito ball. Finally is that strange chipotle coldness. I think because they super chill the guacamole and cheese and sauces for food safety it cools off everything so you never really get a nice fresh hot burrito. It's always kind of room temperature with a really cold side where all those cold ingredients are. It's generally unpleasing. Obviously since the ingredients aren't that spectacular to start with the burrito as a whole falls flat. I'm sure I'm spoiled because I have 1 million really nice taco trucks and taqurerias close by. Looking at the ratings it may be best particular store but I do know that the location in San Mateo closed So I'm sure I'm not not alone. read more

Disappointing is an understatement. Delicious, healthy food and fresh, local ingredients: + 2 stars. Painfully slow service and less than accommodating staff: - 3 stars. A catering order placed in advance should not take over 20 minutes past the designated pickup time. If a business is understaffed despite knowing that a large order must be fulfilled, it's the Manager's responsibility to either let the client known up front about the delay or find a way to adequately staff the establishment to meet the agreed upon deadline. I spoke with Jared, the manager on duty on 12/15/14. He advised our 30 item order would be available for pickup closer to 11:15am than my requested 11am. I arrive promptly at 11:15am and staff are chit chatting as the growing number of patrons in line grows thicker. I was asked by the cashier to have a seat and "give (them) a few more minutes" for the crew to have our orders ready. After 51 minutes past the pickup time... I was offered a complimentary water cup for my unbearable wait... Isn't tap water complimentary anyway? Eric, the manager on duty during pickup on 12/16/14, apologized for my wait. He empathized and said he wished they were more appropriately prepared for our order. ONE HOUR AND FORTY MINUTES LATER, Eric kindly assisted me to my car with three large catering boxes. Luckily I took EVEN MORE TIME to account for each of the thirty orders myself. As I'm in the parking lot reconciling our order, Eric comes back out to my car, apologizing that his crew missed two entrees not included in the boxes. By the time I arrived to the office with our food, staff's lunch breaks were over and to our dismay, the food was cold and soggy. An unacceptable total of 1 hour 45 minutes wait for a subpar meal. This disastrous experience makes me weary of using Chipotle again to cater for a large group. read more

This Chipotle is run like a soup kitchen during the Great Depression. If you show up, you'll have to wait in a long slow moving line. If you order ahead, you'll have to wait in the same long slow moving line (but they've pre-printed your receipt). This place is also BOYF (bring your own fork) in case you want to dine-in, which I don't recommend because the aforementioned long slow moving line snakes through the dining area. If you somehow make it up to the front of the line, there's typically no soup left (how do you run out of salsa?). You must take your pickings, however slim, and retreat back to your family whose eager and anxious faces you will undoubtedly disappoint as they tear through a now somehow soggy paper bag. Hopefully you like to eat "family style" because whatever your wife ordered has now leaked onto your tacos. Reading comprehension unfortunately is not a prerequisite for hiring at this Chipotle. A side of guac with your burrito bowl some how got misinterpreted as a quesadilla with sofritas! Truly remarkable. Why do I always seem to come to Chipotle on a day when they're training someone new? I've been to two different Chipotles and someone new has always rung me up, and rung me up wrong! Chipotle needs to better streamline their ordering process because there always seems to be a hold up, whether it's the customization piece of the puzzle or the new employee learning curve, something's always holding up the line! I'm a huge Chipotle fan and will probably continue to remain a loyalist despite their repeated health outbreaks. I've come on my own and even when they offer free food vouchers to win back customers. I came in to this particular location to redeem my free chips and guac along side my steak burrito bowl. The new employee who rung me up, bless his heart! You can tell he was struggling but was generally trying really hard to be good at his new job. He accidentally rung me up for a side of guac when it should have been free. I returned back in line so they could rectify my situation and luckily the manager in charge happily refunded me my money. Aside from this incident, this is a solid Chipotle. I say that because they scoop bigger portions than other Chipotles I've been to! No skimping here. I can get down with that. My usual order is a steak burrito bowl with brown rice, steak, black beans, medium sauce, pico, sour cream, lettuce, guac, and cheese. Basically the whole sha-bang! Pre-ordered then went down to the store where I am supposed to grab my food off of the To Go shelf. This stupid store has it in an area labeled Employees Only. These guys are the worst. Used their mobile app to place an order and we arrived about five minutes after it was supposed to be ready. Because their menu doesn't include one of the most common menu items (quesadilla) ordered a veggie burrito with cheese and named it "cheese quesadilla" so they would know what to do. Called them on the way to try to clarify the order. Long story short, I was still on the phone with them on hold when I arrived and my order ticket was still hanging on their board not yet made. Their solution: "go stand in line over there and order it from the counter". Among the other ridiculous things this vacuous manager told me were "we can't control the flow of traffic so we make them when we can" and "I just made you a cheese quesadilla" when he made it for the customer in front of me and then it just got put in the other dude's bag. The worker didn't know how to charge my mobile gift card but asked her manager and apologized for the inconvenience even though it wasn't an inconvenience at all! My steak burrito was delicious. Yes, I am a proud regular. Chipotle has become one of the restaurants that just pops in my head when I get hungry. You know? When you get hungry and you start to think of what you might want to eat and you start to think of the cuisine......... anyways. Burrito is good. But I enjoy the bowls!! Mmmm.. It just feels like they're giving me more food when I get it in the bowl. Is that just me? There's an open kitchen behind the counter.
