I love chipotle. I feel like it's a place you can go to and eat healthy if you try. That being said, I wasn't completely pleased with my experience at chipotle. I ordered the salad. The gal who worked the register was super nice. When I got home, I was disappointed that in my salad instead of guacamole I had half an avocado and it was hard. I took a picture of it. Also in their lettuce I had the bottom of Romaine the part you wouldn't eat unless you want to break a tooth. The taste was good, but that just disappointed me. Also when I was ordering the salad I kept saying more lettuce more lettuce, more lettuce. I just think if you get a salad, it shouldn't just be one handful of lettuce. No idea if the people that work here were born yesterday but the customer service was absolutely disgusting. Chose this location despite the reviews after a long flight landing at SFO, and wish i hadn't. The girl making my tacos was throwing the tortillas like they were frisbees, the girl pouring the ingredients kept dropping them on the table then proceeded to pick it up and added back in, wouldn't completely mind that but the place was already filthy in itself. Poor customer service. Did not open on time. There was no sense of urgency by the staff. One worker even proceeded to make his own burrito and sit down at a table where everyone waiting (about 20 people) could see him eating. Not sure how it could have been a break when restaurant was supposed to open at 10:45 am and didn't open until 11 am. And he was eating at 11:17 am. I placed a mobile order for 11 am and did not Walk out until 11:20 am. I've never had a good experience at this Chipotle. I have never made a review in my life but this restaurant definitely deserves one. For one, the staff is pretty rude, and always seems miserable. Don't get me wrong they have some nice staff, however most of the time it's always these Gen Z kids working that have no customer service skills. Also, they always seem to be out of something, whether it be guac or steak or sour cream or rice. Like how are you a chipotle and out of steak. I've also found so many non edible items in my food, whether it be little stickers or hairs. The restaurant is never clean. I recognize that working in fast food can be demanding. I am BEYOND disappointed with my service at Chiptole today. Let me just start off by saying that It was JUST awful. I ordered ahead on the app per my son's birthday dinner request. I mean it was bonkers the workers acted like the ingredients were coming out of their own paycheck! If I wanted to leave an establishment hungry, I would have stayed home and kept my $16. If I am paying premium prices I would like to have my bowl be FULL. I watched my son's face drop when he saw his bowl. He literally asked me, "Is that it?" Been coming here for many years, having grown up on the Burlingame/Millbrae border and living here as an adult for a decade. Ordered pickup via the app on a Saturday, arrived with just a few people in line ordering in person. They had 3 workers in front and a few in back. I walked up to the employee at the register and gave my name as I could see my order behind the register (it was the only order in the pick up shelf) The employee at the register looks back at it and says "yeah hold on" then waits about 15 seconds for the next person ordering in line to get to him. He proceeds to ring this person up, an older gentleman who clearly was having trouble figuring out where to tap his credit card to pay. The cashier was pretty rude and condescending to the him and looked annoyed he didn't tap his card in the right spot. Once that was all done, he reaches back, hands me my order without looking at me or even saying a word. I rarely give one star reviews, and I know it's Chipotle, but I've come here enough over the years to say the service has gradually gotten worse with time. And if you have someone coming in that's ordered via the app and the order is all bagged up and ready, why ask me to wait so you can then wait for the next customer to get to the register and ring them up and leave me waiting when you can just grab the bag behind you and hand it to me. You already turned and looked at it for crying out loud. It's just a lack of logic and/or common sense, or perhaps just an unhappy employee. Imo, the guy looked pretty unhappy and given his interaction with me and the other customer he was rude to, management might need to take a closer look at things as the ratings for this location are pretty low and it's not difficult to see why. read more

Most people are inclined to write about their negative experiences rather than positive experiences at a fast food place, but honestly the past year this Chipotle in Millbrae/Burlingame has been pretty solid. The service from everyone there is pretty friendly and patient. Of course there is often turnover with staff so this might not apply years later, but I never had any issue with the quality of the food or the customer service at this location. I can tell they have gotten good training at least. They're very efficient and don't skimp out on the portions in my experiences. The barbacoa is also so good. Parking is also super easy with there being tons of lots located nearby. The inside of the store is comfortable too only downside is that sometimes the lobby gets left unkept for too long after some customers leave a mess all over the tables or floors. First time at this location and the service was exceptional! The two women who served me today 6/24/24 at around 1:40pm were so nice and attentive. I can never finish a bowl so I always get a kids meal and it's the perfect portion! Plus it comes with a drink and small chips. This was by far the most shocking and humiliating customer service experience I've ever had--and it happened at a Chipotle I've visited and supported many times before. I placed a mobile order, and the app notified me it was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I quietly approached the pickup area to check if my food was there. Before I could say *one word*, a staff member came out from the back, looked directly at me, and **screamed at me to "get out"** in front of the entire restaurant. I was stunned, embarrassed, and completely caught off guard. I hadn't even had the chance to speak. She was clearly handling completed orders and slowly applying stickers, so I simply wanted to ask if mine was among them. Instead of providing basic customer service, she yelled and then walked away. I asked for a manager, hoping he would de-escalate the situation or at least acknowledge what happened. Instead, he dismissed me entirely--no apology, no explanation, no help, and no refund. He refused to address anything and made me feel like I didn't matter. I left feeling disrespected, degraded, and honestly traumatized. I've never felt so mistreated in a restaurant, especially as a paying customer. This wasn't just poor service--it was hostile and dehumanizing. Corporate needs to know this is happening. If this is how Chipotle trains--or tolerates--its employees treating customers, that's a serious problem. No one deserves to be yelled at, ignored, and publicly embarrassed while simply trying to pick up food they paid for. I've been to a bunch of Chipotles and I'm not too crazy about the way, I feel about this one. The food is kind of there, but didn't look or feel fresh. The service is OK, but you can tell they just don't care. The place itself isn't really clean to be honest. There was stuff on the floor, the tables were dirty and the garbage cans were full. The garbage cans were so full, that you could not separate the trash. I basically had a dump everything, in the can that had room. There was a girl walking around and picking up after customers, but you can tell she was poorly trained. Yes, she did pick up the trays and cups that were left behind, but if there were any spills or food on the table, it was left behind. I absolutely don't blame her, because her manager was looking right at her. This place is poorly run and I do not blame the employees. I also don't care to hear, it's hard to get good help. When help comes in, as a manager, you train them to your level of expectations, no less. I'm probably never gonna come back to this one. It's unfortunately, because I've been trying to get my girlfriend to go to Chipotle for a while now. This is not the one she will go to. Food is good but the ordering process is a total mess. They are understaffed. The online order kitchen isn't open during off peak hours, the staff is overwhelmed, the same people who make online orders also have to make orders for people in line. So there are long delays. There are always delivery drivers waiting, the cashier has to tend to them and cash people. All the employees look burned out, and I've been going here for years and the you see new sets of employees every few months means people quit. Fix this place. Hire one more person to keep the online order kitchen open at all times. Have the delivery driver orders be out 8n the open so the cashier doesn't have to keep looking in the back for the orders, they'll say they'll get stolen but at least have a numbering system or something. If any place needs a digital kiosk it's this place. Be way more efficient. Basically chipotle is a billion dollar company they should have at least 1 or better yet 2 people tending to online orders at all times, they can prepare the food and call peoples names out this will take a load off the rest of the staff, this combined with a digital kiosk will make things much faster. As a customer it's not pleasant to come here and see employees not be able to handle the amount of people who come here. So many times I've wanted to eat here but chose Taco Bell because they are way more efficient, even though the food is not as good. Having a couple more employees to tend to the online orders will speed things up dramatically, it will more than pay for itself with less staff turnover and online customers who don't get long delays, cold food and will reorder more. read more

The Latin manager who works here is incredibly rude and unprofessional. My son ordered a kids Taco vegetarian meal and when we told him that we wanted guacamole he said that it would be extra for guacamole even though we were getting no meat. We have ordered this meal many times and know that the guacamole can be substituted for the meat. Then he only filled up the guacamole 75% and proceeded to say that this was the normal portion amount. He started arguing with me in front of customers and when he was serving the food in the tray he was throwing it and unpatiently, like he was frustrated. This is a very unacceptable type of behavior for the manager of a Chipotle branch. Due to this person's lack of professionalism, we will never be coming to this establishment again. read more
