Went there late on a Sunday night (They're open til 10) and the food was just as good as it would have been when they opened. The burrito was filled with deliciousness and the kids working were very polite (which is hard to come by it seems these days). This location has gone severely downhill in the past few months. The pace has slowed down to the point where it's laughable. The food quality had gone downhill. If you want a Mexican place that will actually get your order right you might as well drive a mile up the road to Taco Bell. Maybe not as good, but at least it's right. First time I ate at the location in Hingham. While I was waiting in line, it looked like some meat was overcooked while some was undercooked. I ordered the carnitas and chips to go. I never order anything spicy but my burrito was spicy. The only thing I can think of it had too much pepper and/or cilantro in the mild salsa and the chips were very salty. I usually eat at the Braintree location and truthfully have never had a bad experience there. Think I will stick to Braintree. read more

Good food with simple ingredients for an affordable price. I recommend the burrito bowl, you get a lot for under 10$ and unlike a burrito you can save it for later! Staff is very friendly even when lines are long. Yes-there is often a line, however some places are just that way. If you plan on going during a lunch break or around dinner time, don't expect to not have to wait-that's when everyone else wants to eat too. I notice a lot that it's customers holding up the line by letting their young kids who can barely see over the glass order themselves, when most of the time they don't know how to order at chipotle. Order online if you have a big order and you don't want to wait. The dining area is neither filthy nor immaculate. It's very clear that many of the other reviewers have never worked in the food service business. It's more than making burritos! The staff seem to work very hard and I imagine dealing with the line is no more pleasant for them than it is for you. Highly recommend chipotle and this location! read more

I eat here about once a week, as I live nearby. Seems like this location hires people that hate this job, with the exception of a couple of employees. Two guys there might be brothers or maybe their, "I don't give a $h!t," attitude and demeanor gives the impression that they're related. I have literally walked in, saw who was putting the burritos together, and turned around and walked right back out. One out of five burritos seems to be put together OK. The other 4 out of 5 are just slopped together with the juices for the beans and meats running out. Some burrito builders skimp so much on the fillings that you'd think it was coming out of their paycheck. If you're in a pinch and just need some food, then this suffices....barely. read more

This Hingham location is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. The staff and management and Chipotle president should be ashamed. Sunday 330pm with 10 staff members working the entire restaurant is a mess. There is no fresh food in any containers. They're out of chicken, veggies, white and brown rice etc the staff preparing the food does not listen. "Can I have a very small amount of salsa" and they're so robotic they load a full ladle on there then when you tell them you don't want all that they attempt to scrape the salsa out of the bowl instead of making a new one. Stay away if you have a milk / Dairy allergy! The allergy cards and training are all wrong now! The new Queso has ruined everything in regards to allergen friendly eating as it splatters over everything. Luckily I saw the Queso splash on my food and into all the other ingredients - it really went far! The serve and I looked at each other in disbelief (maybe you can see this on the cameras from Friday night?). Each splash was like a stab in back since for the last few years chipotle has been one of the few restaurants and my #1 eating out option for the last 3+ years. To make it worse I waited with friends for 30+ minutes in line. The staff handled it as best they could and offered me free chips and to cook me more food but it would take 25+ more minutes. I wouldn't blame them (except the guy who splashed it was very careless), I would blame corporate for a massive oversight in the placement of the queso. The hard cheese hasn't been an issue because the items near it have duplicates kept separately and it doesn't splatter. If I had been less paranoid, distracted by my phone or something, I might not have noticed and potentially could have died! I've already been lucky to survive several incidents where a mistake was made, and it's been over a year since the last time. I'm now living in fear where 3 times a day, every meal, I have to be sure my food is safe. The PTSD and fear, plus the fact Chipotle was my favorite restaurant that I trusted, really was the straw that broke the camels back. This close call actually brought me to tears, All I could think is "what if?" and why does my life suck so bad. Being able to eat safely when you're hungry is something people take for for granted. I had been assured in the past it was safe, down to changing gloves etc. I know my situation is extreme so it may be hard to understand the trauma. I think it would be wise to bring this to the attention of corporate, because if it hasn't caused any issues yet- it will soon. All my allergy suffering friends rely on you to be the safe go - to, especially traveling. All I know is that if this outcome had been worse, and If I survived, I would have be merciless with my lawsuit. I'd rather have $0 and be safe, but if I have one more mistake at someone else's fault I can't even imagine the amount it would take to help me return to a normal life. Please for me, and for everyone else at risk, address this issue! I'd really love to go back some day if this gets resolved. read more

The employees appear "hip and cool" with all there tats and eyewear, however they haven't gotten my order correct in the last 6 times I've been in there. I'm a chipotle lover and search them out when traveling for work. Many tasty and healthy options. I am often eating "chippy's" in the city were the consumer volume is high and the staff has the assembly line down pat. Sometimes its almost offensive how impersonal the experience is, however, I understand the need due to the lunch hour rush downtown. I digress back to the Derby Street location. It's always relatively busy when I've visited and today they were staffed accordingly w/ 8 employees behind the counter, (probably 3 more than are ever present at the busy downtown rush hour location) and this place STILL can't manage to get their operation together or provide a friendly smile. It's truly unbelievable. If they are running low on food they will scoop out the little remains of whatever it is, yell for more, but keep pushing your bowl down the line so you get a half @$$ lunch/dinner. I don't know if management is ever present but processes at this location need to be reexamined. It's unfortunate to have this type of experience at such a nice location. Next time I will choose one of the many other eateries at Derby rather than continually crossing my fingers that thing will be improved. read more

I have gone to chipotle many many times and I love the food, but each time I go to the Hingham chipotle the service declines. Today was the last straw I will not be going back to this chipotle again. I asked for a burrito and as he heated the rap once the guy took it out there was a hole in it one of the guys said something and just keeped sliding down putting more on to it. Then when I was paying I asked for a cup for water which is part of my everyday order and she said sorry were out, instead of finding a solution she said I would have to pay for a cup for water and the woman was so rude about it that I Was in shock from how she spoke towards me. So I ended up having to pay like 2 bucks to get a cup of tap water so I could take my lunch time pill. Which she will probably just pocket the 2 dollars anyway. It's just ridiculous. So all and all I will deff not be going back and due to this experience. I guess I will drive out of my way to go all the way to Braintree to get the real chipotle experience. read more
