What an amazing little taqueria located in Weymouth! The store front is so unassuming that we almost missed it. Dora Taqueria is so good that I want it to stay one of my hidden gems forever. We got a ton of food to try here and nothing disappointed. We got 3 birria tacos ($15), a shrimp taco, an al pastor taco, 2 lengua tacos, and 2 elotes. Although we ordered a good amount, our food came out very quickly! Whenever I see lengua (tongue tacos) I'm always so excited since not many places tend to offer it. These lengua tacos are easily a MUST HAVE. The meat was so well seasoned and tender. It had everything I wanted in a lengua taco. Another must-try are the birria tacos. The beef was super tender and the cheese pull when eating the tacos were magnificent. The consomé (birria sauce) that you dip the tacos in was so rich and flavorful, pairing amazingly with the tacos. Their elotes were also so tasty -- the charred corn was juicy and sweet while being smothered in cotija cheese and chipotle mayo. The corn was a pretty good size too, so you're definitely getting your money's worth here. The shrimp taco had very juicy shrimp and I love how they included guac on the top of the taco. The al pastor taco was probably my least favorite of the bunch, but it was still pretty solid. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try! Everything was terrific, from the tasty food to the speedy service. It seems like most people order take out but they have a handful of tables to dine in here. I was confused as to why I was asked "For Here, or To Go?" then sitting at a table & waiting, was still served it as tho it was "to go" in a paper bag. But, it does say "Mexican Street Food", so maybe that's why. I was nervous about the prices, and worried I wouldn't be full. But, worry NOT. You WILL BE FULL! It's VERY FILLING! So, you get your money's worth! I ordered a taco Combo with a funny sounding name, something like "Gringo Tacos", and I had an option of either chips, or rice & beans. I picked the rice & beans, because I worried about it not being filling enough. But, trust me, the chips would've been just fine! I was SO STUFFED! Honestly, even just 1 taco is pretty filling! They do not deserve a single star. I order 3 Birria Tacos. Not sure why they had cheese. One taco had no meat but a giant piece of fat with cheese. Barely any cilantro or onions and not a single lime for such a large order. Taqueria sounds good but too bad the food does not live up to the hype, or those reviews are fake there is no way. Ordered for takeout and my 2 burritos, quesadilla, and 3 tacos were done super quick, especially for a Friday night. Great tasting and all of it seemed very fresh. Was having a strong pregnancy craving for a big cheesy peppery onion-y slightly spicy burrito, so I ordered takeout from here on a whim. Holy crap it was literally the best burrito I've ever had in my life. The large size did not disappoint and the flavors and ratios were absolutely perfect. I asked for fajita style, which is adding peppers and onions, plus ground beef, extra cheese, and chipotle sauce. I ate the whole entire thing by myself and have zero regrets. Food is AMAZING - we had three Birria tacos with a side of fresh chips/guacamole and a churro chaser with a Mexican Coke. Every bit of it was delicious. This is a hidden gem that I wish (for their sake) was located in a more heavily travelled spot like Derby Street in Hingham where perhaps a few more goodies reside. The staff was very friendly and super fast with our order and I think the shop looks terrific. Frankly I don't think I've ever seen a cleaner, cooler-looking restroom in my life. I finally got around to trying the newest Mexican restaurant in Columbia Square next to Olympic Pizza. Dora Tacqueria is primarily a takeout spot but it did have two picnic table type seating in the front that were filled with hungry local teenagers when I visited. Word on the street is this place is famous for its traditional beef birria tacos. These are special slow-cooked shredded beef double corn tortillas that are dipped in the consomé and grilled until crispy. They are then served warm in the corn tortillas and topped with melted Monterey jack cheese , diced onions, fresh cilantro, a squeeze of lime juice. They also comes with an additional side of the rich beef broth consomé, which is used to dip the tacos . Dora's provide three generously stuffed tacos with each order. They can look deceivingly small in the container. I have a healthy appetite but could easily could've split this single order with another person. Portions this dense are rare to find lately .I had a side of fresh guacamole that was equally excellent. I would highly recommend this place to satisfy any craving you have for Mexican. They don't have physical menus yet, so I encourage you to go to their website . Score another gem for South shore. Great little taqueiria. Don't let the heavy traffic intersection scare you away, plenty of free public parking behind the building. We started with burrito bowl, tacos, and birria tacos. Tacos are proper, burrito bowl filled with Spanish rice, fresh beans, typical condiments, and tasty al pastor. The highlight is definitely the birria tacos, double shelled with melted cheese in between and melt in your mouth meat, alongside with meaty stew. I was looking for Mexican food with a cocktail and this restaurant suited the bill nicely! I had the Red Hook Buritto Platter with steak, Guacamole add on. Platter was served with beans and rice. My first visit here my partner and I ordered a burrito and chimichanga - delicious! It's honestly what brought me back this second time. However, the food was a bit lack luster than what I experienced the first time. Specifically the Birria Tacos, Street Corn and Mango Loco. The Birria tacos were SOO soggy, although they photograph well they lacked the crisp exterior from the pan fried tortilla plus the meat and consume were lacking flavor. It was quite a disappointment. The Street Corn while grilled nicely the sauce on the exterior was awkwardly sweet.. not at all what you would expect from a traditional elote. Mango Loco was likely the most disappointing as the mango itself wasn't ripe in the slightest. You could see that the flesh still had a green hue, it crunched as it attempted to eat it and was way more tart than you expect from a typical soft sweet ripe mango. I understand that everything can't be perfect but do believe if you don't have the proper ingredient's to sell, temporarily remove it from your menu until you do. While I don't proclaim to be any sort of food critic I was raised in Texas where authentic Mexican food was regularly available. Needless to say, the occasional craving for guacamole and chips, chicharrones, great mild/hot salsa can be satisfied here. I won't be ordering much else from the menu unfortunately. read more

Good addition to Colombian Square. Their bowls are more attractive than other places because the toppings are placed in sections, not piled on top like other, similar restaurants. I really should have taken a picture! There were rows of lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and beans on a bed of rice. There's only Spanish rice and black beans--but they're my favorites, so it worked out for me. You place your order with the cashier who transfers it to the cooks. I'm used to the cafeteria-style of Santa Fe Burrito Grill (they have margaritas.) Dora Taqueria has a loyalty program, but I didn't investigate it. This is a great addition to the neighborhood. Fllavorful options, pretty well cooked, glad to see lengua as a lot of taco places don't The black beans were ok, nothing special probably could use a little love and attention, along with the rice. Be nice to have other offerings, like chicken or pork carnitas but I guess that's a choice of theirs...probably due to inefficiency or just popularity. My only gripe is they only use one taco shell per taco. EVERY other taco shop use two flour or two corn tortillas, which helps cause the single one gets soggy ( all the time, everywhere) and the second one helps with picking them up, eating them. Plus for $4 a taco, don't stimp on ine of the greatest parts of tacos. Plus...not a complain but more of a business suggestion to the owners. GET BETTER NAPKINS. While cheaper napkins save money, what's the point if you have to use 20 napkins at each sitting??! How much are you saving then?? read more

As the wife of a half Mexican man, I knew we had to try Dora Taqueria! I've heard good things about this spot at book club, so I decided to check it out for dinner! The parking was a bit difficult, as we almost got clipped in the intersection nearby! Once we safely parked, we stepped inside the restaurant to be greeted by a vibrant assortment of skeleton decorations! Greeted by a lovely lady at the register, I ordered some Birria Tacos with a side of fresh beans and rice! My husband ordered the Al pastor, which looked delectable. I was fond of the assortments of hot sauce, which I gladly took advantage of, trying multiple flavors. Each bite better than the next, I scarfed down not only my meal but my husband's as well! I tried 26 different hot sauces, and my mouth was hotter than the Sahara on a Thursday!
