Haven't seen any recent reviews of this pics on here but here goes mine. The burrito I purchased is the smallest burrito I've ever gotten at a Chipotle. I understand portion control but these workers were obviously instructed to put as little of each ingredient on the burrito. A patron shouldn't have to ask for more of anything if a reasonable portion of each ingredient is given. When I did ask they acted as if they didn't understand what I was saying. Place is just an assembly line with no care given to what they are doing. My small burrito was wrapped with all the meat and rice at one end and all the cold ingredients at the other end. Just no care given to what they were doing. I've patronized many Chipotle's over the years but this place is the worst I've ever seen. It wasn't very busy either so they can't use that as an excuse. We had an awful experience at this location. We arrived at at 9:00pm knowing that this location closes at 11:00pm. When we arrived, there was NO vegetables, all rice products were almost empty as well as two different kinds of meat. See photos. We asked the server if they can make any more food and he said no as he and his colleagues have already cleaned the grill and they said they will not be making any more food for the night. Looks like they were trying to close early and deter people from ordering food by saying "this is all we have left" and not making anymore food. I don't understand why they're already getting ready to close the kitchen for the night when there's still two hours left for a busy highway rest area. This experience was really disappointing. Especially since people depend on service areas. I have been a loyal Chipotle customer for years and over the years the quality of the service has really and greatly declined. I truly hope that this will not happen to us or anyone else again. Very unacceptable!! Chipotle needs to be better at hiring the right employees. read more

Great chipotle! Staff was friendly. Food was cooked perfectly. A bit pricy compared to other chipotles, but that's to be expected.

I love chipotle but this is the first time that I am very disappointed . But the worst part is the guy who served me put so little meat like he's serving a kids meal . When I said something about it, he said "you want double meat for additional $6" . Been eating in chipotle so I know what a serving size is .Then they said the corn is not spicy but it is. So ended up throwing the rest of the little serving they gave me .We are actually on a road trip which make it worst. read more

For a Connecticut Rest Stop food place, this is one of the better Chipotle in CT. The food was fresh and the service was quick. Even though there were people in line before us, the wait went by really fast. Surprisingly, they didn't say that quac is extra which is a-okay with me since we all know that quac is extra to begin with. I'm completely a Chipotle fan and have visited almost every location in Connecticut thus far. If we ever travel North on 95, which is not very often we would stop at this Darien location. They have everything you'd want at a typical Chipotle. They don't serve chorizo and had a sign, but they also make it known that their pork does not live up to full standards. read more

Thank god I didn't chip the tooth that crunched down on this huge pebble. Super uncomfortable and obviously turned me off from eating the rest of my $9 burrito bowl. I can't imagine this is super common, but regardless - an indication of low quality control. While it's a super convenient highway rest stop location, the food served should be 100% food. read more

From my experience Chipotle is another one of those franchises that is pretty consistent. You get a similar experience whichever store whichever city or state you are in. Even though this chipotle is in a travel plaza rest stop area the food is still good Chipotle food. If you have ever been to a chipotle chances are high this location is the same as the one you went to in terms of food and experience. If you have never been to a Chipotle then give it a try! Chipotle is one of my favorite quick food restaurants. I like the tacos personally, chorizo or chicken from me. My wife is a vegetarian and she enjoys the sofritas option.. Chips and guacamole are a must in my opinion. Service here was average. read more

You know something, this place wins the money. I have had some unpleasant experiences with Chipotle in some other locations, but in a rest stop of all places, it would be good. I had tacos with chicken as the protein at this location, and some other vegetable goodies as well. All ingredients came together very nicely and were tender and flavorful. I also give them massive points for giving water cups, and asking people to "stay out of hot water" and not use them for anything but water. Again, remember this is a rest stop, and them doing this is quite nice! I would return to try their other stuff (as this is one of the better Chipotles I have tried) but, only if I am on this road again. read more

Horrible experience. Ordered through the chipotle app and the food arrived over an hour after estimated delivery time. To top it off the food was not edible after siting for close to 2 hours. I will be looking to take my business elsewhere. read more

I was having a great day today and then I remembered when I was passing through Darien, CT 6 months ago. I stopped at this Chipotle location only to receive THE SMALLEST BURRITO I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. IT WOULDN'T HAVE SATISFIED A 7 YEAR OLD. It is really disappointing to order on the app from. Chipotle in Darien CT. Every time I get takeout I get home and items I paid for are missing. Then, they don't answer the phone. It's a 30 minute drive from my house so it's not worth it to go back, I never get reimbursed and I have to make something to eat because I didn't get the food I ordered. We ordered catering for our production crew and were SO excited about it... when it arrived - it was incorrect (we asked for steak, chicken and sofritas and were given 2 chickens and a pulled pork) and missing several items (all salsas, all beans, flour tortillas). Tried calling the store and got no answer several times. Saying this place was beyond disappointing is an understatement. I am so frustrated that I can't feed my half vegetarian crew anything substantial and now will have to spend EVEN MORE MONEY and more importantly TIME getting them food elsewhere. Terrible experience and customer service. The line was out the door (25 people deep), it took over 1 hour to make it to the counter, then I noticed the phone orders were being taken, and the people standing in line were being ignored. Out of forks out of lemonade dang near out of everything I wanted but as usual you get the same answer "we've really been busy" do you know how hard it is to eat a burrito bowl with a spoon? Lines here are always long! It's not so much the staff that's slow, it's really bc a lot of ppl come here! But the service is generally pretty fast! Foods good! The staff are friendly! I have no complaints bc everything here is pretty fabulous ! I will say that on a Tuesday nite it seemed short staffed and at 8:30 they ran out of beans and no one was interested in getting more...seeing that they close in an hour and a half they would want to keep everything stocked ! Went here the first day of the Romain lettuce outbreak and didn't know it was going on yet so I figured it was poor inventory management on this Chipotle for why they didn't have any (vs. a widespread Romain recall!). I asked them if they could comp the guac since they didn't have Romain and they happily agreed and were super, super apologetic. I found out after it wasn't their fault at all yet they still were so nice and generous. All customer service should be more like this! read more

Terrible customer service. The wait took forever and there was only person in front of me and two already at the register... She was waiting for the guy to go back to his car and get more money which is nice but she could have started other orders while she was waiting... After squatting down and waiting bc I was feeling light headed after waiting in line for over 10 minutes. The guy came back and she finally came over to take my order. I wanted to order 3 burritos and a kids build your own. When I told her I wanted rice beans and guacamole as a side she told me I had to choose a meat protein. I told her my son doesn't eat meat and she told me I could not have guacamole as a side. I informed her that he doesn't like any of the other sides and I have NEVER had any issue with getting guacamole as a side. She told me too bad I'm sorry that she is the manager and she is not going to give me the guacamole as the build your own side. So do I want it or not? I am pregnant and left without getting anything to eat because the service was so terrible. It is my birthday and I just wanted tacos for lunch. I am so annoyed right now. Place has potential, slow rollers, the food line is taking forever. I am used to the service in the city which the orders are quickly processed. Think this spot needs to do some best practice analysis on the other Chipotles so they get this line moving..process quicker and more orders lead to higher sales... This is the Mexican style equivalent of McDonald's to hamburgers and quality food. As a national fast food chain serving poor quality high caloric garbage one really must question the validity of yelp reviews as they probably highly rate MacDonalds. If you want to equate this food to taco bell and white castle that's fair. Otherwise you can't justify eating this garbage if your over 20. read more
