My daughters went to this Chipotle by themselves for the first time using my credit card, and it turned out to be the worst experience ever. They charged my daughters for two guacamole that they never ordered or received, and when they asked for a refund, the staff charged another one and only refunded one of them - So they ended up charging three times and refunding just once. I went to the restaurant myself and showed the proof that they changed us 3 times, explaining the whole situation, but the staff were incredibly rude and gave us attitude. They even talked about me among themselves instead of helping. They refunded one more, but not the third one they charged. I ended up leaving without getting my full refund because there was a long line of other customers, and the whole experience was just uncomfortable and frustrating. It's been a few years since my last terrible experience here but I figured maybe they got it together no...... I was wrong. Probably... No, THE worst takeout experience of my life. So I ordered one bowl for myself while coming home from work. Simple enough and I arrive approximately 20 minutes later upon arrival I asked for my order and gave my name which is Chris. An employee then handed me a giant bag with the name Zack on it. When I explained that I was not Zach, I was told "we are not falling for your scams". ......ok I then explained that I am not Zach and my name is Chris and I showed the lady the receipt and proof of order. She told me I was wrong and to take my food and leave before there will be problems. .......k I then flagged down somebody who looked like somewhat of a manager and explained to her the situation. She apologized and then handed me the same bag of chipotle with Zack's name on it and a bigger order that wasn't mine. As you can imagine, I am quite confused at this point, so I show this lady my receipt as well as my license and my other government issued ID with my picture and my name on it, which matches the name exactly on the order. She then told me "take the order and get out of they'll be problems. You go now!!" Bewildered, I showed her the receipt again showed her that I had a bowl and if they could just make it for me that would be great and I also showed her that I paid for it. This lady then told me "get the hell out of here before I call the cops" Huh? I responded by telling them to go ahead and call them. This lady then responded "bye now, take your food and get the f**k out". So I left. Jokes on them. I got a full refund and some dude named Zack's 4 bowls and 2 orders of chips and guac. Chipotle needs to fix how this location is run. The employees almost always skimp on the meat, and it's not just once in a while. It's every time!!! Then they give you this look after like they're checking to see if you'll speak up about it. I don't know if they're lazy or what their incentive is to do such a thing. Some of the workers also don't speak English at all, so it's hard to communicate your order the right way. They move super fast on purpose so you don't have a chance to correct anything, and then by the time you get to the register, they act annoyed if you're using a coupon deal or paying with cash. And to make it worse, almost every time they don't even have enough change in the register, so they just hand you whatever they've got and hope you don't notice. It's frustrating because Chipotle's food is solid, but the way it's handled at this location really kills the experience. read more

Service was awful! Horrible. Felt very rushed, but the store was not busy. I went before the dinner rush. I was trying to ask one of the staff in between the register and the food if they had gotten my order of small taco tortillas since I didn't see them next to my food and the lady straight up watched me ask her and ignored me and started to walk away. Then I said I had a coupon for BOGO and she said the scanner was broken (I then got a text thanking me for my order when I got to the car, so that was a lie) and I asked if she could put in the code and she said no. The other lady was looking at me and wouldn't help. They didn't want to help me. They looked at me like I was a problem and just to pay and go away. They then took the guys next guys payment and when they came back to me they told me I should have ordered online if I wanted to use my code and with the bags of food right there I was like ?? This Chipotle is the absolute worst one I've ever been to and I've been going here since I was a kid. Even the locations in my college town in Tampa were way better. One, they're so so stingy with the portions. I've never had this problem at any location except this one. The employees that work there are not nice at all. A month ago I tried to scan my app to use a reward and they said it was broken. Then today I tried to use my entree reward and guess what- it's broken still! The line was ridiculously out the door and they had 10 employees in the serving line looking like they didn't know what to do at all. It was just a mess and not worth $15. The food is what it is but this location is always busy, parking is impossible and the service is slow. Today, the service was painfully slow and they were out of napkins, the countertops were strewn with food, lackluster customer service, not only without a smile but all the people behind the counter seemed to hate their jobs. The fellow messed up my order as he really wasn't listening. The guy ahead of me waited for some corn thing that they ended up telling him they were out of. They ran out of black beans and no one was hustling. When I finally checked out the cashier walked away seemingly to do nothing. She came back and just looked at me vacantly. She was intercut by another lady asking if there were any napkins and she said no. At which point I asked: do I have to bag this myself? I asked as the line was just backed up and she wasn't checking anyone else out. She then stuffed my bowls into a bag and scowled at me. Food is what it is but the service makes me wonder when AI will most takeover. I don't know what's worse- the displacement of service workers with AI or service from disgruntled humans. read more

Having been to this Chipotle since 2012 I can confidently say that their food is consistent, efficient, and tasty. Chipotle has fulfilled my need for a good burrito for years. The seating in their Darien location is a little tight, but that has not really been an issue since 2020. This location is much better than the Chipotle on I-95 as you would expect and certainly worth hopping off the highway if passing. read more

It's safe to say this chipotle location has lost a customer. The long lasting cheerful staff that used to serve are no longer there. The servings have gotten much smaller and the food, just not as fresh. We paid $34 for two bowls, which didn't have nearly as much food as the past. The chips were completely stale and the queso was also not fresh. The new staff members were rushed, unorganized and very rude. I'm not sure if they changed management or what the case is, but this is not the same chipotle. read more

Okay. Everyone who goes to this Chipotle deals with the huge lines. You have two options. Go in person and take a chance that the in person ordering line will be short, or order online and know that your order is 100% guaranteed to be at least 20 mins later than the pickup time you've specified (usually closer to 40 min to an hour if you're going at prime dinner hours). It doesn't matter what day of the week it is, just expect it and you won't be upset. Acceptance is key here. We always show up at least 20 mins after the requested time and if it's not ready, go sit in the car and surf the internet, then go in and check every 15 min or so. I agree - the staffing here needs to be increased, but every single restaurant or small business now is still struggling to staff up. All of that aside, it's pretty consistent. We come here almost once a week. Sometimes the rice is a little undercooked or soggy. Sometimes the guacamole is powdery or the chips are soggy. Guess what? It's really good most of the time! The meat is seasoned the same way, the taste is consistent, and it's good portions for the price. I get two meals out of my burrito bowl and I'm happy with it. If you don't want to deal with crazy lines, try the Chipotle at the rest stop nearby. If you're looking for a gourmet experience... why are you at a Chipotle? read more

One of the worst chipotles in CT. You might as well go to the gas station one right near it on the highway. First of all there was food and trash EVERYWHERE... I couldn't find a table to sit at without wanting to hurl. When I asked for a tortilla on the side, they gave me a mini taco tortilla instead, for the same price as the large one that every other chipotle gives on the side. My scoop portions were tiny, the rice was over cooked and mushy, the chicken was chewy and disgusting, and even though I got about 6-7 different ingredients, I was pretty much eating just a cold sticky bowl of beans and rice.
