So make sure you read the menu. There is a standard way of ordering - as in lingo. I was actually nervous when I was up to order because everyone ahead of me seemed to know exactly what to say? You have to call your order but the # and then say "mikes way" or list off the ingredients you want. Honestly the guy making my sub seemed very unhappy to be there and wasn't very kind. I ordered the half sub and it was more than enough. I wished I could have chosen a different bread because this role seemed just basic. But the fillings made up for it. Fresh cut meats and cheese, thin shredding lettuce and tomato then mayo. It was great in its simplicity. I'd say the price is reasonable for what you get. YET AGAIN treated as though im invisible here. 1 person in line when I walked in to the pick up area to wait to be acknowledged. 1 person walked in after me and he was taken care of. Another person walked up next to me at the pick up location and he was swiftly taken care of, it wasn't until I stood right in front of the register to ask if my prefer was ready. Jersey Mike's is great. Not sure why I haven't been here until recently. I've tried most of the subs so far, all very good. My favorite is the Big Kahuna, cheesesteak. Sub-Way can't come close to any of the subs in terms of quality. Last sub I had from there (pre-covid) was flat, mostly bread, and not much flavor. Wish there was a 3.5 option on Yelp as this borders between a 3.5-4 but it's not quite there to be ranked as a 4 (generally reserved for really good restaurants). After hearing friends rave about it endlessly and listening to z100 advertise this for months on the radio, I made it a mission to try this place. The location is conveniently located in a plaza with Shop Rite, a large liquor store, etc. Basically you can get all of your errands done in one place and then treat yourself to some Jersey Mike's afterwards! The store is clean, the workers are extremely friendly, and menu has hot and cold options. I opted for the small club sandwich "Mike's Way" (aka they drizzle it with some mixture of oil and vinegar). At first I thought I made a mistake by ordering the 6" (normally I do footlongs at Subway) but they LOADED the sandwich with toppings to the brim. They are extremely generous with their cuts and don't skimp, that's for sure. The 6" ended up being the perfect size - not too hungry, but not too full. Overall it's a good, solid sandwich. You can't go wrong with it. It didn't blow me away as the toppings are pretty standard and something you can find at most delis. The bread was a little soggy and not as toasted as I expected it to be, and the price is also a little expensive ($9 for the 6" and $15 for the footlong). At that price point, I could get a real meal outside. But in terms of convenience and friendliness, it ranks high on the list. I've come back and tried other items on the menu and find it to be comparable. Definitely worth checking out, and I'm glad I finally got to experience the famous Jersey Mike's! read more

Love the food here , but the staff lack interest when I made my order for a number 8 and received a number 6 when I'm paying for the transaction confirm what I order and paid , before leaving I checked since the server wasn't aware of what he was serving me. Realized the mistake and ended up talking to Jay he was on his way out and explain what happened to my order , he came back to fix it since neither one of their co workers bother to fix it. The fact that he had to interrupt his brake to help cause no one else can acknowledge a mistake. They had to be told he has been waiting hurry up. So if it was due go Jay would be a 5 star review , give that man a raise and to the other staff member please follow his example getting food and good service shouldn't be so hard. read more

I really enjoy the sandwiches here but I have To complain about the service at this location. I ordered online so I wouldn't have to wait, I go to the store almost an hour later and one of the guys working notices me I tell him I'm picking up and give him my name. He made a face and doesn't say anything else to me afterwards. I was left waiting assuming maybe the sandwich wasn't ready. He kept going back and forth finishing sandwiches and ringing other customers. It wasn't uNtil another guy came in for pickup that I had to tell another worker I was also there for pickup. These guys have really stepped it up during this COVID-19 pandemic. With each of their employees always wearing PPE, there's not much you can ask for. They have truly accommodated the take out service and put a quality rush on the service. There's no lingering here with these guys. Not bad sandwiches. Not bad service here either. I have been here a few times now, went when they opened and it was super packed. I will say that they handle crowds very well! There are tons of workers and they are efficient. The sandwiches have a lot of meat. If you get it "mikes way" they put a good vinaigrette type dressing on it. They dont have a lot of options as far as veggies and stuff. You kind of get the sandwich how it is. It is not really anything like build your own like subway, it is more of a pick a number type of place. The main drawback to this place is that the sandwiches are pricy! Let's shut down our entire means to make peoples' food 45 mins before the store closes (on a Friday night), so that when people come in, even 15 mins before the doors close (operative word being 'doors close' meaning breakdown should begin AFTER the posted store hours), we turn that business away saying "we've already cleaned our grill" (as if that was the customers' issue) because that's great customer service, super smart, and an excellent way for the owner of our business to make a return on his(her) very expensive franchising fee and overhead... so that our lazy early 20's asses can get out of work, a few min's. earlier, to go drink and try to bang each-other. (Signs clearly pointing to "we give not one shit about what we're actually paid to do.") Luckily, I wasn't from Jersey Mike's Corporate, shopping this location for quality control tonight... they would've gotten a GIANT F for their grade, attitudes and sheer lack of motivation to do their jobs. I guess the management just simply doesn't care or there wasn't even a management figure on-hand to care about the people supporting this establishment, financially; meanwhile, the Chic-Fill-A across the street is two cars wide with a line wrapped all the way around the building... doesn't seem too 'dead' in the area, as described by the employee, while making excuses for their very poor business decision. Part 2: In response to the below comment by the responder to the review. This is clearly a Management and Training Flaw. (Accountability is an "Irrefutable Law Of Leadership.") and the issue shouldn't be blamed on a 'New Employee.' It was apparent that everyone there knew, wholeheartedly, what they were doing... this was not a mistake or a mess-up by someone that didn't know better; their intent was to get out of work early, by knocking out their cleaning well before closing time. A 'Free Sub.' doesn't correct a broken system. Be accountable for the lack of leadership, and correct the issue at its source. A simple solution, from anyone that has worked in the food industry, would be to have laid foil on the Flat and made the food, or better yet, have only cleaned half of the Flat to keep the business ready, willing and able to serve the patrons of the establishment. Good food, poor service, you have to babysit them when they make you a sandwich, they slap the meat on so sloppily because they are in a rush, food is all over the place, but on the sandwich. Too bad only one person uses the meat slicer, they need to teach them how to use it for everyone. Having heard of this sandwich chain but never having eaten in one prior to it's opening here, it's safe to say that subway/blimpie has lost my patronage. You simply cannot beat freshly cut meats and cheeses in front of you and then applied evenly over the sandwich, not to mention the insanely simple but even more insanely delicious mikes way of adding oil, vinegar and herbs to the ubiquitous lettuce, onion and tomato. The place is new, so I get it that on top of making truly delicious sandwiches, they are eager to please and have a great team spirit/customer service vibe going on. Another native NJ'ite who grew up on sub sandwiches. I ordered the regular roast beef and cheese. The staff was super nice and pleasant, engaging and offered all of the toppings. I watched as she built the sandwiches, a couple of slices of cheese, a small stack of meat, L&T, O&V and the top half of the bread. When paying she was quick to point out the POS systems offers three choices for a tip. The total was close to $9, not sure that would qualify as an inexpensive half-sub. The sandwich...it was OK. Those two slices of cheese were paper thin and the beef was as well, when stacked with all of the air between the slices, it looks much thicker than when it is compressed. It was a good sandwich, nothing special other than served on a soft roll. The scant amount of meat and cheese would have never been acceptable at a NJ sub shop. It's a sub shop, but for $9, this would not be a go-to return visit. read more
