I rarely get to Chipotle but this experience was lackluster compared to previous visits to other locations. We walked in early on a Sunday evening and found the restaurant fairly empty. We ordered four beef barbacoa tacos and two Mexican Cokes. I ordered mine with black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and pico de gallo. They were skimpy on the beef barbacoa and gave me mostly beans. The tacos weren't well-proportioned at all. This isn't the case at one of the loop locations. The food didn't taste the same either. There was something slightly off about it but i couldn't put my finger on it. The meal was good in a pinch because we were trying to get somewhere on time, but I wouldn't be inclined to visit again. Yo, I don't understand why Chipotle's always have such poor reviews. 1) You're literally ordering from a national chain restaurant, and 2) YEAH, no shit, this place is not authentic Mexican food by ANY means, but it's one of the most "affordable" fast food-type restaurants there are out there. 3) it's also one of the healthiest fast food-type options you can find. I'm sorry to those who have had a bad experience here as far as customer service, or maybe with incorrect orders, but every time I've ordered from this location, my experience has been generally pretty good. I've never actually dined-in at this location because of how close I am to it (a three minute walk), but it for sure always hits the spot. It seems like those who complain often about these types of places are also the same ones whose Yelp pages have mostly poor reviews about a lot of places they go to. Chick with the green hair SUCKS at being a chipotle worker. Im so disappointed when I walk in and see she's working. She constantly ignores what you said and acts annoyed when you repeat it. Overall, my recommendation would be to skip the Mobile Order and order in person. I always do Mobile Order and on occasion either the food isn't ready when it should be or there is an error in my order. That said, I'm trying to give waitstaff grace during COVID, knowing they're likely working really hard and are exhausted. This is a solid Chipotle location. It's right off the 77 bus, they never have long lines, and the service is professional. At some Chipotles, they seemed annoyed when you ask for extra rice and things like that, but I've never had a problem here. Always a good place for when you are hungry. Clean and plenty of options available. I love how big the bowls are as I always have leftovers. Don't be afraid to ask for more on some of the toppings. My bf always ask for extra sour cream on his. Their guacamole is great but i suggest ordering it as a side instead of a topping so you get more. read more

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE Chipotle. It is my usual, go-to spot and I still will visit; however, I will NOT be going back to the Belmont location specifically - and here's why. I was on my way back from the airport at 9pm last night and asked the cab to stop off at Chipotle so I could run in just before they closed. I thought about it for a moment, but decided it is a professional establishment so I wouldn't have any trouble with my food, even though they close at 10pm. Well, I was dead wrong. I got my burrito bowl home and was halfway through it when I discovered I had several pieces of RAW chicken. Yes, you heard me right. After a minor panic attack, I called the restaurant to let them know since I know those issues are supposed to be taken seriously by restaurants. The person who answered the phone told me I could come back for a free bowl; however, really didn't seem to care that they served me RAW CHICKEN. Perhaps it was late and they just wanted to go home, but I was NOT impressed and clearly they do not take the threat of food borne illness seriously. Definitely will not be going back to this place. Eat at your own risk - and if you do have an issue, don't expect them to care. read more

I was on my first ever for door dash delivery and my first pick up happened to be at this chipotle. Everything was smoothe until i walked in and asked to pick up the door dash order and Alexander tells me that someone already picked up the order. So i check my app and was confused on what to do next. After already leaving chipotle the door dash customer calls and says that he doesnt have the food he ordered and was really upset. So I rush back to Chipotle with the customer on the phone. Then i tell Alexander no one picked up the order. Then he says oh its right here we actually have it. This particular Chipotle location made me decide to boycott the entire chain last week, which will suck given that it's one of the better Ameri-Mexican chains as far as taste goes. I ordered soft tacos. What I got was three cold tortillas with a bunch of toppings throw on top of the the shells. Half of the fillings didn't even make it into the shells. When I asked them to redo my order, the manager literally yelled at me for holding up the line. I argued for about a minute, but realised my points weren't being received at all. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to take my business to one of the other thousands of restaurants in Chicago. If there was an option to give zero stars, I would. Chipotle is a fast-food casual dining place. Sometimes you have to wait while they are cooking your food. They can't always be perfect. This is the second time I've come here where they are out of meat on the line and ill prepared. The portions here suck, you definitely get ripped off compared to other Chipotles and again, enjoy waiting because these people can't seem to figure it out. Poorly managed store. I love Chipotle. But in terms of Chipotle's, this one is awful. I have yet to be here without issue since moving to the neighborhood about 2 years ago. Summarized are some of the basic issues I have encountered at dinner: 1 - 100% out of white rice at dinner, haven't started making it yet either. 2 - Consistently running out of other burrito ingredients for extended periods of time. 3 - Line halfway to the door, but only two people working. Two other people who are on shift but not helping and waiting for the manager. They go back to working after the line dies down. 4 - Poor quality control; burrito's wrapped up with broken tortillas, failing to properly spoon ingredients into tortillas. 5 - In general; slow and lackadaisical. Since I live near by I have never been in during a lunch rush, which is my measure for Chipotle. What can I say....it's Chipotle! If you love it, you'll love it. If you have nothing good to say, then you shouldn't post anything. The burrito is good for what it is, it's not "ethnic" Mexican food. But it dose get the job done and it fills you up for the buck. And I recently won a free meal for 11 for my work place so it was awesome picking up 11 bullion burritos. I've eaten the bowl too and you can't go wrong with it. I've stayed away from their "tacos" because I think it's too small for the price. Don't go to this chipotle unless you want music that plays too loud and unless you want to repeat everything you want in your food twice each time because of the glass as well as the employees that don't listen very well. I'm not sure if the employee thought I was with the two men in front of me because they spoke Spanish but just because they wanted mild and hot sauce does not mean I did. I asked for mild only please and was given hot. I corrected the employee nicely and they stopped everything made a confused face and started my food all over with no explanation or apology. I apologized for any confusion and paid for the mediocre but correct bowl. Also the corporation doesn't actually use food that is treated right. But that's no surprise. read more

I'm a fan of Chipotle. Always have been. Last week I went with a steak burrito bowl. It was delicious. But, that wasn't the reason the Lakeview location received four stars. It was for their hospitality. The gentlemen at the cash register visited the table of each patron and simply asked, "Is everything alright?" This isn't something you see at a fast food restaurant. Especially a fast food restaurant in Chicago. Above that, there was a table to my left in which a father appeared to have taken his 3 young children to lunch. I'm not sure if the young boy wasn't in favor of the salsa or sauce on his food, but didn't eat much of it. The same man that walked around the tables to ensure everyone's meal was fine gave the father what seemed to be a Chipotle gift card. If this was the case, cheers to you Lakeview Chipotle. Oh, I love me a good vegetarian burrito. And since there are far more Chipotle locations in the city than Qdoba restaurants (I like Qdoba a tad more), I often find myself heading to this burrito destination when I need a fix. What I love about Chipotle is that they're very vegetarian/vegan friendly (they even warn us about the bacon in the pinto beans!) and provide a hefty veg burrito piled full of rice, beans, stir-fried veggies, and optional toppings. The food seems very fresh too and doesn't make me feel disgusting for having eaten it. I've been to this location several times and have been pleased with the fast service. I suppose the burritos can be a bit slim at times, but I take that as a positive. I try not to venture here too often as I'm watching the waistline and simply can't resist a vegan burrito in all its high-calorie glory (even vegan, that tortilla bread, the rice, and the delicious guacamole bring on the fat and calories). They do have "healthier" options (such as a burrito sans tortilla) but if I'm going to go, I'm going to do it up right. Check out the fun Chipotle website when you get a chance. read more

Well, he must be toast because last time I was there the place was awesome! This one dude was shaking the rugs outside, refilling everything, chatting with customers, you name it- he did it. So, I love Chipotle in general, and when I used to work downtown, I had a favored location there, too. But since I started working near this Belmont location, I've found that I stop in 3-5 times a week. They really get it right. Everyone's promt and courteous, and I've never had an issue with food quality. Since I don't eat animals, it's nice to have a reliable take-out place with healthy, filling options for me.
