Devil Dawgs is a fast food restaurant that's right by the brown line EL stop. They have a great menu that consists of beef sliders, hot dogs, chicken tenders, Italian beef, fries of course and many more. I've been coming here for a few years and also went to their old location years ago. If you're looking for a good fast food fix without going to your chain fast food joints, Devil Dawgs is a nice option to have. Came from a doctors appointment a few blocks away and after getting pricked with needles 6 times, I needed to treat myself so I thought of Devil Dawgs. Got the big Chicago style hotdog - cuz who puts ketchup on hotdogs??? It did not disappoint with the pickles, sport peppers, tomatoes and celery salt! I really love their fries as well. It's the perfect combination of hot and crisp and slightly burnt at the tips for that additional flavor. It's already nicely salted so all you need is ketchup! It is a little pricey for fast food as I don't believe they have combo specials available. Everything is a la cart. They do have a nice clean space inside to dine in. Both regular and tall tables are available. I suggest dining in because who wants cold fries??!!

Recommend their Maxwell Street Polish! A staple hot dog to try in Chicago with their overtly green relish, pub/diner vibes, and easy order system on self-order kiosks. They offer good flavor and plenty of options in a non-frills manner, but the original can be a little dry.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the reason it is sacrilege to put ketchup on a Chicago hotdog is that it will disrupt the harmony. If I've learned anything in my three months and change in the city, it's that Chicago hotdogs are all about balance This is why, thus far, the stand across from the art Institute has been unbeaten. Everything works beautifully together, and the celery salt is prominent and noticeable. With such perfection, who needs ketchup? While it wasn't at the level of needing ketchup, the Big Chicago at Devil Dawgs was an okay hot dog, but one where are the execution put it behind others I've had in the city. It comes back to balance. Namely, the applies to the mustard, neon relish, and celery salt. The relish was in over-abundance, which overpowered everything else with its salt and acid. Meanwhile, the mustard and celery salt were just wisps instead of a more prominent and noticeable flavor. The frankfurter itself also fell short. I find that a truly terrific hot dog has a bit of snap to it, and this one wasn't at that level. Thus, while Devil Dawgs may fit the bill if one is hungry and nearby, however, for a truly great Chicago hot dog, there are better places out there.

They load up the hot dogs! The coney dog I had didn't have much chili but had a boat load of shredded cheese. The sliders were surprisingly very good. Would get those again and come back to try a different hot dog. Also could've sworn they used to have more hot dog options. Still a cool place to check out!

Well well well... you've done it again devil dawgs! Another fabulous meal me and my partner enjoyed some delicious Weiner together. I got the coney w no mustard and they got the cheddar dawg!! We also highly recommend the cheese curds and milkshakes!! We got a chocolate Oreo shake w peanut butter to share the inside of this place is so fun and really adds to the experience! Not to mention kiosks for easy ordering!! we will be shashaying back soon

The atmosphere was pretty cute for a hot dawg place. Staff was super helpful. The dawgs were darned good and the shakes, holy moly! Tater Tots and Fries were also good, but surprisingly it was too much to eat. I think that's a good thing. After a long day of running around, this was the perfect spot for a quick bite. It's also right next door to our hotel, so super convenient.

Great convenient location, right underneath the red line. I've been meaning to try Devil Dawgs for some time now, and with a few locations around the city, I'm honestly surprised it has taken me this long. All the hot dogs, especially their "Devil Dawgs" are on the pricey side. Especially when you don't get fries with your order. The quality of the dog is definitely there though. They use all beef Red Hots instead of Vienna. I ordered their Blue Demons Dawg. I wanted something spicy, and this came with devil sauce, onion, sauerkraut, pickle, and spicy mustard. I was really hoping it was spicy, especially with their "devil sauce@ but it lacked any serious heat. Overall a really delicious dawg, and I can't wait to try a few of their other offerings.

It's a a hole in the wall with a really interesting menu(see pics). It's also right next to the Belmont red brown green and purple line really convenient Tater tots is always a plus as opposed to the ubiquitous french fries. Having had the Icelandic dog in Iceland I can tell you the original us better, their version however is not bad at all. Onion rings on a hotdog is a good thing. Be warned as advertised the blue demon dog is spicy. The shake selection is also noteworthy.

We stopped in at Devil dogs on a Friday evening and we had a good time. I really like the atmosphere and have cool pictures and drawings in a public art and stuff that I really enjoyed. I got couple chili dogs, cheese fries. It was good. My wife and kids didn't like the hotdogs because it was a snap type of dog but I liked it, I would go here again service cool fast to the

Seriously not for the faint at heart! While in Chicago, it seems necessary to consume a hot dog or two.....so I found this place......whoa! The place is just a small little shop....decorated to look graffiti'd and plastered w/ pictures, posters, etc........while there I ordered something called a "Bulldawg".....what's that? How about a deep fried Chicago dog piled with chili coleslaw, & cheese! It was a mess of a hot dog (intended) it definitely was not health food, but it was tasty.....and yes, dogs are defiantly better in Chicago.....it was definitely a Vienna beef dog. No fancy presentation here....the dog is wrapped in paper. I also ordered a Milkshake while I was here......it was really one of the better milkshakes that I have had in a while.....extremely tasty. Check them out

It is a pretty neat place when went in I saw that they have a lot of memorabilia all around the place. Also famous people have also been there with their autographs on their pictures. This place was quite busy which tells me that it must be good. It was very organized you can order your meal on a kiosk or at the counter. We decided to order it at the counter I ordered a famous Chicago hot dog which is an all beef hot dog on a poppy seed bun topped with chop onions, sweet pickle relish, tomato slices, dill pickle and a small spicy pepper with no ketchup but does have yellow mustard the price you could not bet it was very reasonable my guest ordered an Italian sandwich. After ordering the cashier gives you a receipt with your number on it and you step to the side. Then you wait until your number is called and that's how you get your order. Yes it was crowded but we waited for our two items for at least a half an hour which to me was unacceptable but besides that the place is really neat to try and the hot dog as well as the Italian sandwich was delicious definitely will be back again fingers crossed that we don't have to wait so long but the wait was worth it. They also have lots of seating around the restaurant. There is a second story as well you could sit up there.

It has that classic late night comfort food vibe and feels like one of those staple spots you have to try at least once. First night I ordered a polish hot dog with everything on it and a fish sandwich w/ extra grilled onions. Super cool that your order comes with fries and I added a cheese cup both times. In my opinion the fries were mid the first go around, but second time they were better. Definitely tasted better dipped in cheese. They were kinda airy in texture, if that makes sense. Polish hot dog was around a 6.5-7/10 for me. It did taste better warmed up the next day. What I was most obsessed with was the double cheeseburger and fish sandwich! both were easily a 10/10. Super good prices and worth the money. Also, the chile peppers were sooo bomb and hotter than I expected ! I wanted to eat them all, but they were packing some serious heat! The lemon Italian ice is where it's at, make sure to order one! You can also mix it with strawberry, but both times people recommended the lemon and now I see why. The line gets super active and busy past 10-11pm, but during the daytime it's way less crowded. Even when it gets packed the line moves pretty quick. They stay open late and close at 1am which is nice.

I like that there are options for where you can eat. You can eat in your car and have the car hop bring you food. You can eat outside at the picnic tables. There were two dozen stalls in which you could pull in your vehicle and use an intercom box with the menu printed on the side to transmit your order. A worker would then bring the food/drink to your parking space and use a handheld device to swipe your credit card. Alternatively, you could do what I did which was park and then walk up to a service window and order from there. Adjacent to the service window was a door that led to a room with countertop seating which served as a dine-in area. There were also a few canopied tables on the sidewalk at the edge of the parking lot. Their Chicago-style hot dogs were the featured products, however most of the menu was made up of other fare like fish/shrimp sandwiches, burgers, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, french fries, shakes, malts, sundaes, cones, etc. The price for the namesake Superdawg was now a whopping $9.30! I ordered one of those that consisted of a cardboard box packed with a poppy seed bun containing a pure beef hot dog dressed with all the trimmings. Those ingredients were golden mustard, tangy piccalilli, a kosher dill pickle, chopped Spanish onions and a hot pepper. Included in the box was Superfries which were extra crispy crinkle cut french fries. I also purchased a regular size Mellow Vanilla Supershake. I took a seat at a countertop inside the dine-in area which had only customer when I walked in. As I opened my box, it was packed so tightly that you couldn't even tell there was a hot dog inside (see my photo). The Superfries lined the top while the pickle and sport peppers also surrounded the poppy seed bun. I finished the fries first that I felt were overdone. The hot dog was normal size with a good snap to the frank. The neon green relish was unique as the bright color stood out. For a hot dog and a measly amount of fries, the cost felt high in my opinion. That being said, I didn't try a similar combo at any other spots around town for comparison. The vanilla milkshake was thick and creamy and the best part of my order. I gave a three star rating for my dining experience at Superdawg.

A single dog with fries and a medium drink came out to about $9. While waiting, I loved watching their team work like a well-oiled machine behind the counter. Fresh hand-cut potatoes were dropping into the fryer, and the assembly crew was constantly building dogs and piling massive heaps of steaming fries on top. High output, fantastic energy! I even asked one of the prep guys if I could snap a picture, and he was super cool about it. The meal itself was awesome. The fries were piping hot, perfectly salted, and very generous in portion.
