Finally was able to try Chinitas! I came here with a group of my friends for Happy Hour and they have an amazing one. On Wednesdays they have Happy hour all day and that's the day we came. I didn't get a chance to get a picture of everything but all the food was delicious! We got the Elote flatbread, pork wontons, California roll, avocado roll, shrimp tempura crunch roll and more! Not pictured were these amazing chicken taquitos with the most amazing sauces for dipping. Tatiana was our server, she was very attentive and really nice. I do like the ambience here. It's fun and kind of loud but not loud in a bad way. Great atmosphere to hang out with your friends or to have a fun date night with your significant other. I've had Chinitas bookmarked and on my radar for several months now, but was just waiting for the right opportunity to check it out since it's out in the Water Street District in Henderson and about 45 minutes from where we live. Well the stars finally aligned this weekend as my daughter had a soccer tournament just a few miles away! We got there around 2:30 in the afternoon on Saturday, and as we walked up immediately noticed the nice outdoor patio area. As we walked in, there was a hostess to greet us and sit us at a booth. They have a nice bar area as well as a separate section for those that want to sit down at a table or a booth. Our waiter immediately greeted us and went over the menu and happy hour specials... Yes, that is right, happy hour on a Saturday which ran from 2 to 6! Shout out to Jordan our waiter! There were several great options on the Happy Hour menu and we ordered the Wagyu slider with fries and Elote ribs for our daughter, which was a perfect portion for her. They were both amazing and while our daughter was devouring them, we ordered the Bulgogi fries from the Shareables menu and WOW was that so so good and full of incredible flavors! Reminded me of the flavors when I was in Korea. The fries were loaded with toppings and no fries were left uncovered or eaten for that matter! The only struggle we had at Chinitas was trying to decide what to order next because literally everything on the menu sounds amazing. We decided to go with some tacos, and ordered the General Tso's tacos and the Quesabirria tacos with Consome. Both selections were great, full of flavor, and turned out to be a perfect choice for us! We really enjoyed the vibe and super friendly staff. As previously mentioned, they have a large bar area and a cool patio to chill out on warmer months. They also had a DJ booth in one of the corners, which looked like it would be a fun place for later in the evenings, and an upstairs event area for larger parties and groups. We also love the many options on the menu with many delicious options to include a great variety of shareables and a full selection of sushi, wish we saw many partaking in. They also have a full bar menu. There's so many different options and they even have Sake selections! We had the Micheladas, and they were great as well! Our whole experience at Chinitas was awesome! If there was one closer to us in the northwest area, it would definitely be a regular spot of ours, but everything was so great that we will absolutely make the trek back there again and again! If you haven't tried Chinitas yet, please go and give them a shot... No matter how far you travel it will definitely be worth it! read more

This is a really good spot in the heart of water Street. I had been to a few of the private events upstairs, they have a great space, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the ambience downstairs was great as well. We weren't really hungry, so just had a few appetizers. I highly recommend the avocado rolls they are to die for. The kimchi pastor fried rice was also good. This is a huge plus these days. Food: Everything we had was delicious but my favorites are the Quesabirria and the Churro dessert. The Quesabirria is a melt in your mouth taco that you can dip. It's a bit messy, but so worth it! The churro is divided up and has fruit on top. I really like how it's shareable. Most of the dishes here are that way. On my first visit I mostly had sushi. The sushi is a la Carte and pretty darn good. I am a bit of a sushi connoisseur so I love my AYCE places a bit better. Although I would order sushi on my next visit Drinks They have a lot of signature drinks that are super fun and you can do some drink flights too. They definitely have something for everyone. We really enjoyed the food at Chinitas and the service was great. We sat on the patio and were able to have our dog out there with us, which is always a plus! We had chicken wings, tacos and lots of sushi. All of the food we ordered was delicious. We didn't much enjoy the specialty cocktails on the menu, but we asked the bartender to make some manhattans and they were excellent. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the DJ was just way too loud for like 6 or 7pm. Once he started, we couldn't hear each other talk. Would definitely go back again though! read more

I have been to Chinitas about 5 times now and every time has been great. The cocktails and food are all delicious. My most recent trip I ordered the Tiradito roll, was very good but I still prefer the Picasso roll. I got the cauliflower appetizer for the first time and it was AMAZING, spicy and sweet. The service was a little slow but I think they were understaffed. My server was super nice and the food was fresh and perfect as usual, even though they were busy and down help. Will keep coming! Gurrrrllllll - take the time to go to Chinitas Tapas on water street asap!!! We went three times in two days it's so good!!! The restaurant is so cuties - they have outdoor seating with misters if you are wild like that. Inside there is bar or regular seating. The waiters and waitresses are so kind and efficient. The food....o-m-g... I can't think of enough adjectives to give it justice. My favorite dish is the Chino Taquitos. The meat is juicy and the sauces delectable. They are crispy and soft, tangy and savory. I'd give them 5 stars just based on this plate. The ONLY thing I would complaint about would be the over priced fries. They are $5-$7 for a side and there's about a kids portion. They are still perfectly cooked so I'm not knocking any stars off . Crispy Pork Wontons are also super yummy and juicy. A lot of the meats are a bit dry but that leaves room for the sauces to shine so it doesn't bug me. When I took my first bite of the chorizo 50/50 smash burger my eyes bulged out of my head and my husband started cracking up just saying "riiiighht" lol the cheese meat and bread melds together into a bite straight from heaven . The Spicy Tuna Roll was given a thumbs up by the fam. I don't like seaweed so I didn't try it. The elite ribs are realllllly good BUT I would only get them on happy hour. The other dishes are just too good to pick them over any of the other dishes. The tacos trios is a great way to try different options and they each have a unique flavor - I could not decide my favorite and had to take a bite of each alternating until they were gone. Save room for the churros and get the ice cream with it. They serve the churros warm with a Berry compote that compliments the cinnamon flakes and vanilla ice cream beautifully. Came here after a long day for a late night meal. They have a Mexican style menu as well as sushi or Asian fusion but I came here for the sushi which I will say was excellent. I was seated quickly and My server was quick to the table and super friendly and helpful. From the miso soup to the yellowtail to the simple California roll everything was amazing, honestly I can't tell you the last time I had a super high-quality California roll, it's simple ingredients and it was fresh and it was so tasty. My friends invited me for dinner and this was one of their favorite places and so here I went. It's in the water street district which I've never been. It's a cute place. The outside of the place looked nice with its greenery. Walking inside, the look of the place seemed a little like walking into a bar I've been to before. Found my friends and they had started already with their food and drinks, I believe they had a special and were on their first round of food and drinks. Looking through the menu, I could see it was a Mexican and Asian fusion selection. I ordered the Al pastor fried rice, corn ribs, and bulgogi tacos. The tacos with the Korean marinated meT topped with Kim chi was amazing' I could've eaten another round of those. The corn ribs were fun to eat, I love Eloté corn. The Al pastor fried rice was delicious, I will want to learn how to make this for myself at home. Topped with kimchi @ fried egg added another layer of flavor. I tasted my friends birria ramen- I thought it was ok, not my favorite choice. LookinfbY my other friends order, they all loved the sushi here. As I walked around, I could see the sushi chefs table and she was getting them rolls out effortlessly, it's kinda fun to watch. Chinitas is serving delicious Mexican and Asian food on Water Street! This is a fusion that isn't always executed well, but Chinitas really impressed me with how well they paired the two. The front of the restaurant is so cute and inviting. Right now the indoor dining room is open, but it looks like there will be an outdoor patio when we have warmer weather. They have a large bar area too. Parking can be tough in this area, but there is a large public parking lot behind the building. My friend and I were able to easily get a table around 5:00 on a weekday, but the restaurant was full by the time we finished eating. The Beef Bulgogi Tacos were love at first bite. These were so flavorful. They were small tacos so I could taste all of the flavors in every bite. The Hoke Poke Roll was fresh and also flavorful. The Eggrolls Al Pastor were tasty with plenty of meat filling. The Spicy Garlic Edamame had good flavor, but were a little tough. Overall, I really enjoyed these items. The Yuzu Flan was refreshing and delicious. I typically don't love the texture of flan, but this had a great texture. The Chino Churros were non traditional churros that were delicious. They were crispy with plenty of cinnamon sugar and raspberry sauce. Chinitas is a great addition to the Water Street area!
