My wife had been wanting to go to this restaurant for months, and after our fantastic experience, I regret not going sooner. Chinitas Tapas and Sushi, located on Water Street in old Henderson, is to die for. Everything about this restaurant is done right. Excellent location, excellent food, friendly staff, and a lively atmosphere. They even have a DJ inside the restaurant keeping the party going. He's good too! We had the kimchi chorizo fried rice, crispy pork wontons, elote ribs, and a spicy shrimp tempura roll. My personal favorite was the kimchi chorizo fried rice, which is prepared with kimchi, pork chorizo, onions, and a sunny-side-up egg - delicious! The drinks were also excellent. There are numerous drink creations available, as well as a complete bar stocked with all of your favorite spirits. I highly recommend this Chinitas next time you're in the area and want to grab a bite. You will not regret it. read more

New Asian fusion restaurant located in the historic Water Street district in Henderson Nevada. The brand new restaurant has a modern decor with an outdoor patio facing Water Street as well as a place to have events on the second floor with a full outdoor balcony. The first thing I have to address is how friendly the staff was. We were lucky to have a fellow Louisianian as our waitress and she was phenomenal. We started off with the pork wontons which were delicious. For my meal I had the Japanese lasagna roll and the Philadelphia roll. I can say hands-down the Philadelphia roll was the best one I have ever had. It was so fresh and well-made. We will definitely be coming back! read more

This was our first time at Chinitas! It was highly recommended by several people since moving to Henderson. 5 - Food / Ambiance (just a little warm in there as it's summer and the spot is a little smaller) 4.5 - One of the food runners weren't very pleasant. We only tried a couple things off 1 side of the menu so we can come back and try the other side! It was very packed, good music, good anterior design. This was our first time at Chinitas and it was amazing!! We pretty much ordered one of everything and it was all wonderful. Flavors were fresh and unique while showcasing the main ingredient. Claudian was our server and he was so attentive and knowledgeable. All of the staff that we interacted with was helpful and friendly. New to the Water District and absolutely creative and tasty. Combining Mexican food and Sushi does not seem like the right combo but they make it work sooo well. A little pricey, we spent $50 each for lunch. We got four sushi rolls to share, each one was great and the Hawaiian was our favorite. For a non-authentic sushi restaurant, we were delightfully surprised by the quality of the fish. We also got egg rolls and the birria tacos. Egg rolls are 10/10, wish I got a photo but those are a MUST try. The birria was cheesy and warm but we felt needed some salsa or an extra kick to it. We also did some cocktails and red sangria. All of which were not too strong, but strong enough you could feel the slight kick with each sip. Highly recommend everything on the menu so far and will definitely return to try more food on the cantina side! read more

Gurrrrllllll - take the time to go to Chinitas Tapas on water street asap!!! We went three times in two days it's so good!!! The restaurant is so cuties - they have outdoor seating with misters if you are wild like that. Inside there is bar or regular seating. The waiters and waitresses are so kind and efficient. The food....o-m-g... I can't think of enough adjectives to give it justice. My favorite dish is the Chino Taquitos. The meat is juicy and the sauces delectable. They are crispy and soft, tangy and savory. I'd give them 5 stars just based on this plate. The ONLY thing I would complaint about would be the over priced fries. They are $5-$7 for a side and there's about a kids portion. They are still perfectly cooked so I'm not knocking any stars off . Crispy Pork Wontons are also super yummy and juicy. A lot of the meats are a bit dry but that leaves room for the sauces to shine so it doesn't bug me. When I took my first bite of the chorizo 50/50 smash burger my eyes bulged out of my head and my husband started cracking up just saying "riiiighht" lol the cheese meat and bread melds together into a bite straight from heaven . The Spicy Tuna Roll was given a thumbs up by the fam. I don't like seaweed so I didn't try it. The elite ribs are realllllly good BUT I would only get them on happy hour. The other dishes are just too good to pick them over any of the other dishes. The tacos trios is a great way to try different options and they each have a unique flavor - I could not decide my favorite and had to take a bite of each alternating until they were gone. Save room for the churros and get the ice cream with it. They serve the churros warm with a Berry compote that compliments the cinnamon flakes and vanilla ice cream beautifully. I can wait to go back and try more dishes! read more

This place was really good. It's sushi and tapas. The salt and pepper wings were really good. Nice and crunchy. Seasoned very well. The food is a little pricey but the service was amazing. Probably one of the fastest service I've seen for a restaurant. Food came out instantly, it was very hot and fresh. The ambiance was nice. There is plenty of TVs with all types of sports on. Nice sushi bar. The best part was dining with a live DJ playing some hip hop and R&B. This place has an upstairs area as well but it was reserved for a private party. Such a fun tapas place! The perfect casual date night spot. I loved the food and was surprised at the flavor combinations. Also, girls get half off drinks on Thursdays!! My friends invited me for dinner and this was one of their favorite places and so here I went. It's in the water street district which I've never been. It's a cute place. The outside of the place looked nice with its greenery. Walking inside, the look of the place seemed a little like walking into a bar I've been to before. Found my friends and they had started already with their food and drinks, I believe they had a special and were on their first round of food and drinks. Looking through the menu, I could see it was a Mexican and Asian fusion selection. I ordered the Al pastor fried rice, corn ribs, and bulgogi tacos. The tacos with the Korean marinated meT topped with Kim chi was amazing' I could've eaten another round of those. The corn ribs were fun to eat, I love Eloté corn. The Al pastor fried rice was delicious, I will want to learn how to make this for myself at home. Topped with kimchi @ fried egg added another layer of flavor. I tasted my friends birria ramen- I thought it was ok, not my favorite choice. LookinfbY my other friends order, they all loved the sushi here. As I walked around, I could see the sushi chefs table and she was getting them rolls out effortlessly, it's kinda fun to watch. This place is far from where I live but it was worth the travel and the food was worth it. Shout out to Sara for being so good to us, your customer service was great! Stopped in here this evening. The space is really cute with indoor outdoor seating. Had it not been so windy it would have been a perfect day to dine outside. We were seated immediately as it was still before the dinner rush. We had a great waitress named Jannice. She was very friendly and an overall great server. We ordered four items Quesabirria Tacos, Elote Ribs, Hawaiian Roll, and a salmon roll. The elote ribs are an absolute must! 10/10!! The Quesabirria Tacos were ok. It reminded me more of a French dip taco. It's not authentic but it's not a bad find. The two sushi were not to our liking. Both had sauces on them that weren't fantastic and didn't over compliment the rolls. Jannice had asked if we wanted a box and when we said we weren't impressed with the sushi and didn't care for it, she had it removed from our bill. We were shocked bc we intended to pay. This put her customer service over the top which is why we would come back and try some other items off the menu. Definitely ask for Jannice and tip her well! She'll take care of you! read more

Came here after a long day for a late night meal. They have a Mexican style menu as well as sushi or Asian fusion but I came here for the sushi which I will say was excellent. I was seated quickly and My server was quick to the table and super friendly and helpful. From the miso soup to the yellowtail to the simple California roll everything was amazing, honestly I can't tell you the last time I had a super high-quality California roll, it's simple ingredients and it was fresh and it was so tasty. Salmon and hamachi nigiri also amazing. They have several TVs that were showing sporting events and I would see the ambience was casual meets trendy and it wasn't too loud and it was a great place to both socialize and watch events not to mention the epic sushi .My only regret is that I was too tired to take photos. read more

We really love this fun local Water Street spot where you can get different choices between Mexican, Japanese or American and a great happy hour. Beet Tostada is one of our faves. Sweet Yellow beets with a mild wasabi slaw. It's light & fresh. The Sliders are underrated and what we consider one of the best mini burgers around. Get it with the Togarashi fries. Above are all currently on the happy hour menu that goes to about 6pm. Live music some nights and a great place to gather the group for tasty food and libations! read more

Honestly, we were super underwhelmed. The food was mediocre and expensive. Sushi was brought out with no chopsticks and it took almost 10 minutes before we saw our server to ask for some. We were in at about 230 on a Sunday and it was not busy at all. read more

Food is incredible - personal faves: Birria Egg Rolls, Hawaiian Sushi Roll, and the Elote Flat Bread. I cannot understand why there are so many good reviews! Our experience was horrible. Started with flat beer. A "spicy mango" margarita. The foooood was terrible. The sliders were RAW. Cauliflower the house special was basically inedible. Do not order the chicken flatbread. We basically ate bites of this stuff and the server could care less. The sliders were sent back and came back still raw. I wanted a decent spot for Henderson but damn you guys need to get it together. We left mad. read more

Wow! Came here to eat last night AFTER the parade. We were seated quickly and we were watching girls set-up cleaned tables for ten minutes. I get that he probably wanted the pics perfect for my wedding, but also.. he could have been a little more patient -we purposely did first look and pics before ceremony so we could enjoy cocktail hour but after ceremony, we were brought to another room and there was no instruction or expectation as to what is next and we were in there until 45 min into cocktail hour -ceremony, they had the doors closed before I walked down the aisle, but I think I was in the middle of talking when they opened the doors. I'm talking about spending 5k giving you like 5 pieces of ravioli with a crap steak. Not this place. This place gives you amazing food with leftovers and so much to choose from! The bartender was great with the guest and prompt with drinks. He had a well deserved tip jar out because he was that freaking good. The place was nice and cool protecting us from the Vegas heat. Niki over saw everything and even deflected those dumb questions from people. Truly truly made the whole event that much better. Our expectations were not only met but far exceeded. So much in fact it encouraged others to follow in our footsteps in marriage. Bottom line they are solid and straight to the point and there was zero hidden BS. We came here for Kalani Peʻa's Hawaiian Christmas on December 2, 2023. We initially sat next to one of the patio heaters, but this got too hot. We then sat too far from one, which made us cold. Kalani Peʻa warm-heartedly joked about the cold weather several times throughout the show. The problem with this outdoor amphitheater is that the weather in Vegas is either too hot or too cold throughout the year. Ironically, it is adjacent to the newly built America First Center where the Henderson Silver Knights play ice hockey. I think they did the audience a disservice by not hosting Kalani Peʻa's show in the arena. I suspect that most of them would have gladly paid double to be warm during the show. To add insult to injury, the microphone unexpectedly stopped working throughout the show. To his credit, Kalani Peʻa never flinched but continued singing the same as though nothing happened. This is a testament to how professional he is, not to mention how his booming voice naturally compensated for the irregularity of the sound system that night. Shortcomings of the venue notwithstanding, Kalani Peʻa performed a fantastic show. He does a great job of blending traditional and contemporary Hawaiian elements in a way that is appealing to both Hawaiian and non-Hawaiian audience members. His integration of Hawaiian language, culture, and history into his music and performances is exemplary for the longevity of Hawaiian heritage. He is also an entertaining showman with a larger-than-life persona. A central part of his show are dance performances by hālau hula (Hawaiian cultural dance academies). This show in Henderson featured the dancers of the local academy, Hālau Nā Lei O Kahikilani, under the direction of Kahiki Kay-Akana, Kumu Hula (accredited hula teacher). Kalani Peʻa is a proud graduate of Ke Kula ʻO Nāwahīokalaniʻōpuʻu, a Hawaiian language immersion school in Keaʻau, Hawaiʻi. He received his undergraduate degree from Colorado Mesa University. He has won three Grammy awards in Regional Roots. I highly recommend his music to anyone.

We loved the ease of hosting our wedding and reception all in one area with accommodations so close by for our out-of-town guests. The venue also presented a variety of ceremony options throughout the village. We loved the all-inclusive offering of the venue, especially as average weddings in the US can now cost $33k+. Danielle's all-inclusive package was far more reasonable. We did encounter some snags along the way, although Danielle did much of what she could to try to iron them out, but be advised that because the venue has to work with the local housing associations and boards that manage the wider village calendar, they move at their pace, and that can sometimes slow down dates being locked in. On the flip side, while we committed to the all-inclusive package, Danielle also allows for flexibility, such as us deciding to forego a cake instead selecting a variety of desserts. She was flexible, helpful, and responsive along the way. Overall, we loved the vast majority of the vendors we were connected with. Our rehearsal and wedding day went off without a hitch. The Lake Las Vegas village is beautiful. If you're considering this for your special day or any event requiring a space, we would definitely recommend it.

I recently had the opportunity to visit a local restaurant, and I must say that my overall experience left much to be desired. The restaurant in question boasted an appealing ambiance and friendly staff, but unfortunately, the food fell short of my expectations, leaving me underwhelmed. One of the main aspects that left me disappointed was the food itself. While it wasn't necessarily terrible, it was just basic. The dishes lacked that extra touch that elevates a meal from average to outstanding. The flavors were muted, and the presentation was uninspiring. It felt as though the kitchen had put little effort into creating a memorable culinary experience. To make matters worse, the restaurant had a rather unusual policy when it came to birthdays. I was shocked to learn that they charged an extra $2 per person for plates when customers brought their own birthday cake. Now, it's not uncommon for establishments to charge a cake-cutting fee, but this additional charge for plates seemed excessive and unnecessary. It left a sour taste in my mouth and felt like a blatant attempt to squeeze a few extra dollars out of their patrons. On a more positive note, the service at the restaurant was friendly and attentive. The staff members were welcoming and did their best to accommodate our needs. However, even their warm demeanor couldn't compensate for the lackluster food and the additional charge for plates. In terms of value for money, the restaurant did not meet my expectations. Considering the ordinary quality of the food and the unexpected fee for plates, I found the overall experience to be overpriced. There are many other establishments in the area that offer superior culinary delights at a more reasonable cost. The upstairs event space features both indoor and outdoor areas, which we utilized for our event. There is a dedicated entrance with a red rope at the stairs to the left, allowing guests to walk in, or you can access the space through the restaurant if you need to use the elevator or bring additional items. Upon reaching the upstairs venue, I was blown away by the beautiful decorations that Chanthy had arranged. As a busy entrepreneur, I didn't have time to decorate for my son's graduation party, so I was thrilled to discover that Chinitas not only has a stunning space but also offers event planning services. They can bring your vision to life, ensuring the perfect event. This place is amazing. I reserved a table for 16 for my daughters 20th bday at 7 pm on a Tuesday. The service was absolutely exceptional and fast! As soon as we arrived Austin took the cake I had brought and placed it in the cooler for me. They set the table up for us right on time. Adrian was our server and he was very personable and got right into getting our drinks and food rolling. My favorite was the spicy tuna roll and Japanese lasagna. We all tried many different items on the menu and were able to share it all. They had 10$ Tuesday which consisted of quite a few different options on the menu. They allowed us plenty of time for my daughter to open her gifts and then Adrian lit her candles and took care of bringing the cake out for us. Our first trip to Chinitas we were welcome by all of the staff. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our waitress, Becca, gave excellent recommendations. My hand roll was in my mind not a hand roll, just another maki roll. A minor negative was the runners had brought out our app's and the sometime later before our mains were served the server brought out the oshibori (wet little towels to clean your hands before eat. Since the table service hasn't improved, I've gotta go with two stars. Hubby and I arrived around 1:00 PM on a Thursday and were seated immediately. Instead of reading the menu, Hubby asked if they offered a Vegetable Tempura and Shrimp Tempura. The waitress said they have both a dinner and an appetizer. We're so old now that we just can't eat much at any one sitting, so we ordered two Tempura appetizers which included two shrimp each, a large slice of eggplant, a sweet potato slice and an asparagus spear. I wish they'd served an onion rather than the eggplant. The inside of the eggplant was gray; it wasn't appealing -- and we do eat with our eyes first. I took a bite of the shrimp and didn't like it; I gave it to Hubby who ate it. (It had no flavor and, other than the tempura itself, no texture. It was mushy.) I later tried the other shrimp with the same result. I traded it for Hubby's sweet potato. The asparagus spear was scrawny and overcooked. I didn't care for the sauce; therefore, I wanted wasabi to mix with the soy sauce that was on the table. That never happened because no one ever came to check on us! Not once! The tempura was oily. I needed a second napkin and had to get up, go get it myself from a neighboring table because after a young man delivered our food, neither our waitress nor anyone else ever checked on us; not even once during the meal. Not once! No one asked us if we needed anything; no one visited our table for any reason, not once after the food was delivered. We finished eating and sat for a couple of minutes. No one came around with a check, so I went looking for our waitress in order to get the check. In summary: The food was disappointing. Specifically: the tempura was too oily; the eggplant was gross; the shrimp was flavorless and its texture was mush; and the asparagus spear was scrawny and overcooked. The service was worse because not once did anyone check on us! I had to go in search of both a second napkin and the check; and I went without wasabi. If you read my previous review, my issue then was the service. So, Lesson Learned. By me. Clearly, the wait staff ignore customer feedback about service. So this will be our last visit. Adios, Caio Caio and see ya never.

The restaurant itself looks fairly large, although during our visit they were only seating guests on the left side. There wasn't a host; instead, a sign directed us to seat ourselves. Service was attentive and good throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food was where the experience fell short. I ordered the steak and eggs and requested my steak medium. I actually ordered it that way intentionally because, historically, diner-style restaurants tend to overcook steaks a little, so I figured I would end up somewhere around medium-well. Unfortunately, my steak arrived well overcooked, dry, and disappointing. The hash browns that came with my breakfast also tasted like they had been frozen rather than freshly prepared. My colleague ordered the Green Chilaquiles with Carne Asada and had a similar experience. Her carne asada was also overcooked and dry, and the chilaquiles themselves were quite dry, with only a small amount of green sauce. She did say the beans were tasty, so those were a bright spot. They also offer a few different mimosa flights, which I thought was a fun and unique idea. We tried them but didn't particularly care for the flavors...that part may simply come down to personal preference rather than anything being wrong with the drinks. Pricing was moderate, but considering the quality of the food we received, I didn't feel the experience offered particularly good value. The service was attentive, parking was plentiful, and the mimosa flights were a creative touch. Unfortunately, with both of our main dishes coming out dry and overcooked, I don't see myself returning for breakfast.
