We ordered the wontons, orange chicken, curry chicken, honey walnut shrimp and beef fried rice. Everything was so fresh, hot and flavorful. The orange chicken was crunchy and tender with a good orange hint, shrimp also crunchy with a nice sweet flavor, beef fried rice was seasoned well and made perfectly with big chunks of beef and the curry chicken had the perfect saltiness mixed with curry. My only down side, I wish the wontons had a bit more filling but we will definitely be going again

You get the fried outside (like a pie), the creamy cheese inside (like cheesecake), then the sweet and sour sauce is like the sugary icing on the cake! So that was the reason for my most recent visit, as I was completing a steak dinner after the fact. And I have to say; it was all delicious! This restaurant has the best price on this item which includes two sweet and sour sauce small cups and a gratuitous fortune cookie. See my fortune in the photos. It's actually one of my most favorite sayings;+) Strange synchronicity there.... I will say the cheese wontons were stuffed with cream cheese to the point I had one lying low belly side up in the red river sweet and salty flo cup :+) ....alas, they were alll fried to perfection with excellent texture and portion size per each. Wondering if this restaurant carries hot mustard? I've requested it during takeout orders but never received any. Anyways, hot mustard and wontons go well together in a dinner (not dessert) form. My palate loves trying new and spicy things! Point being, wontons are very versatile so have some fun and good food that won't break the bank!

I ordered the lunch special of chicken lol mein with egg drop soup and egg roll. The soup was a nice soothing broth with egg drops and corn. Seasoned mild but I was OK with that. The egg roll was crispy with veggies and good flavor. The four star comes from the CLM. The lo mein noodles were so tender and delicious, but there was not a lot of chicken to be found. I order the broccoli chicken to go and am excited to try. Overall very happy for a first time visit and more in my future.

So, it had been a minute since I last hit up this place. Everything was/is still as amazing as what…read moreI remember! Some new favorites were the Beef Teriyaki Bento dinner box, Snowbird Roll, Unagi Roll, California Roll with Tobiko, and the Boston Roll. Of course, I still stuck with some of my old favorites like their Cheese Rangoons and Spicy Crab Roll (perhaps that's why I'm still a bit of a "crab"? ;+) The beef in the Teriyaki Bento was rather surprising for a Japanese/sushi restaurant. Definitely tasted grilled/barbequed like. Not fried in a pan or cooked in the oven like all the other establishments. It had a very smoky flavor (heavenly), which definitely wasn't from the sauce (as that was teriyaki). 10/10 cooked perfectly without overdoing the included teriyaki sauce on top. Good portion size for a Bento Box that also came with steamed white rice, two orange slices, two gyoza, and a fresh salad with ginger dressing (also not overdone/oversaturated). If you are actually eating in the restaurant you also receive Miso soup with the Bento Box. The sushi rolls were all equally delicious, fresh, and good portion sizes with fresh fish both rolled and hand rolled (depending on your preference; they certainly don't disappoint). Very pleased I was in the area to give Golden Bistro another go, as now I'm craving it once again every day it seems.

The mapo tofu was good. I opted for no rice, which worked out fine. Requesting it be extra spicy did not yield results, but they provided some chili sauce on the side to liven it up. Their version doesn't go heavy on the peas, unlike some other places. Also included carrots, green onions and mushrooms. The sauce was notable. The hot sour soup was about average. It came to the table lukewarm, but had a decent flavor. I would get it again, but there are better. Friendly host, service was unrushed but efficient. I made it to my next appointment with plenty of time to spare. There are several booths and large tables including a party of 8 already there when I arrived.
