This has been my favorite buffet for the last 6 or 7 years in Denton .. Wonderful buffet love the food here.. I recently ordered delivery and was so disappointed .. It took a very long time for the food to get here and my chicken was so overcooked that I was hardly ever able to eat it .. I will be going back for the buffet soon and hoping this place hasn't gone downhill read more

I am not a fan of Chinese Buffets at all, but my kids love them. They found this place and we tried it. I was actually pleasantly surprised. It has to be one of the better buffets. The servers do a great job keeping up with drinks and clearing away empty plates. This will be our go to place when we are looking for a buffet. read more

I've eaten at my share of Chinese Buffets. This is one of the better ones. Each dish had a distinct flavor and food was hot and service was efficient with a human touch. I came back to this restaurant after 15 years. Glad to see they still serve some of the best Chinese in town. read more

Went for lunch and everything was so good as usual. They were kind of busy but the buffet stayed stocked and fresh and our server was very attentive!! Thank you! read more

Good quality buffet. I travel for a living and experience quite a few Chinese buffets throughout the year. The chicken dishes and standard fare were tasty and the quality was evident in virtually everything we sampled . Overall a thumbs up visit for the price! We'll be back soon. read more

Don't go to eat this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the worst place you could go in Denton. I found a hair from food (not the first time), and I told to a manager that I found a hair from food. All I wanted was just to get apology. But the manager said she has nothing to sorry about. The food came from a factory, so they don't need to apologize to me. I didn't want any discount or anything, but of course they didn't give me any compensation. Go to this restaurant if you want to experience the worst serving, or the dirtiest food in the world. read more

Rating a 3 overall as an average. 4 for take-out, 2 for buffet. My husband and I have been getting their take-our for years - if only we lived a tiny bit closer so they'd deliver to us! I give it 4 stars because it is always fast, hot, and decent-quality. Plus, they throw in complimentary cinnamon-sugar donut-things. Mmm. The food isn't amazing, but for Denton, I don't know anywhere better for Chinese take-out. I've only been in for their buffet once. Wasn't very impressed - lots of selection, but while the food wasn't bad, it wasn't as good as their take-out. We sampled several dishes we'd gotten take-out of before and it was true across the board. Decided we'd stick to their take-out in the future - lots of better sit-down joints in Denton, though not many buffets. read more

Great for delivery. Fast and fresh! Ive been ordering here fore the past two years and the food selections wide and the menu has several tasty dishes. My favorite is the sesame chicken for sure. read more

I've been going here since I was a kid!! It's always been AMAZING!!! THE STAFF is very friendly and take care of you... This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE CHINESE RESTAURANT!! The price is a little higher than it used to be but soooooo good!! You will never regret eating here! read more

We live nearby and eat here fairly often. the food is generally hot and tasty. Until today when we ordered our usual hot tea. All 3 pots were barely warm. We asked the server and she said she could not take it off the bill, so we asked for hot tea. She brought 3 more pots which were as lukewarm as the first. What proper Chinese restaurant doesn't know how to serve hot tea? read more

Really excellent food. My only complaint was the wonton. The sushi was delicious. In fact if you want, you can ask the sushi maker to make you a special one just for you. This was my first time going and I can assure I will go again. For ten dollars, it was absolutely worth it. read more

If i could give this place zero stars I would. I ate there yesterday 9/16/14 and I have to say it was the worst china buffet I have ever had. the food was cold, over cooked, extra chewy, not fresh at all, and I left there completely grossed out. there are a few other Chinese buffets i would recommend in Denton, this is not one of them. read more

It's not the grossest buffet - pretty average. Go for the grill. Good service. Food selection isn't great. Always have seafood out, but no crab ever. read more

This is the best Chinese buffet I've ever been to! They have such a good variety and all the times I've been the staff doesn't have a problem with keeping everything stocked and full. The sushi selection was far superior than what you would expect from a buffet. My favorite thing there is the pineapple shrimp, but everything is good! read more

Great delivery service, always delivered sooner than the estimated time they give you. I've ordered a few times now and each order has been consistently great. Huge fan of the garlic chicken and the free cinnamon donuts they put in with the order! read more

Couldn't find anything hot on the buffet tonight, so after three disappointing visits in the last four months, we are declaring this restaurant a bust. Very sad because it used to be so good. read more

Very good service. Walked in got a table quick and was eating my food within 5 minutes. There is a variety of food and it is all hot and fresh. Also cool little dessert bar in the front. Would recommend! read more

Completely disgusted and deeply hurt. I have been coming into this establishment for years. So today, my experience should have been a pleasant one. Instead, I was humiliated and disrespected in front of the entire restaurant. I'm currently under dietary eating restrictions and I do not eat meat nor dairy. So as I normally do when I go here, I get the carry out and fill my container with whole prawns/shrimps and veggies. I took the rest of prawns and when I turned around the lady who perhaps is the owner and/or manager stood behind me and gave me a dirty stare. My sister who was with me asked her, "Can you bring out some more shrimps." The lady said to us rudely, "She took it all." I told her that's right because I paid for it and that dirty look you gave me is very tacky and unprofessional. I went to the front desk to complain about her. She cowardly power walked out of sight. I spoke to the man who might have been the manager and/or owner. I believe they are married as well. I explained to him what had occurred. He stated to me I cannot get too much of one thing and that I need to get some of different things. What! Are you joking?! I'm not a child, your patient, or stupid! I informed I paid for this container and I can fill it with how much I want. He told me I can't if I'm not dining in. I asked him to show me the sign that states that. Of course he couldn't. I told him you can't because you wouldn't have customers. Even other customers came to my defense and told them they was wrong. My sister and I ended up getting our money back and advised them we would never return. Well, my mother was very disturbed by this as her and my dad go there often so she called to get answers. The man who I talked to told her that customers get mad when the dish is gone. My mom said well that's why you work quickly to bring more food out. At the end of the conversation he apologized and told my mom to tell us to come back and it would be free. No, that's not good enough. That lady who disrespected me and caused an unnecessary problem needs to apologize for her nasty attitude and actions. You do not treat loyal customers like this. The man even told me they've been in business for over 25 years. God was listening and humbles the haughty one. read more

The people are really nice and the food is amazing! I thought it looked a little shady from the outside so i was hesitant but after walking inside i thought it was beautiful. They have a great variety and a sushi bar! It's a pretty great place to eat! read more

Large variety along with some good, old favorites. They are on point with keeping the buffet stocked and fresh! read more

Chinatown Cafe - Chinese Near Me - Denton, Texas

I really like the food here, everything is great. As a Chinese international student study in Unt, their food helps me deal with my homesick sometimes. Also, the price is very reasonable too. Truthfully, 11dollars can not even get a buffet good like these in China. read more

We ordered about $50.00 worth of takeout for dinner. Very bad decision! We ordered a couple of beef dishes and a couple of chicken dishes. After returning home, we realized that the substance that they use in all of the dishes is neither chicken or beef. It was a disgusting gristle type substance. This is not what we ordered and we were very upset. We were cheated out of our money. What a Ripoff! I would encourage anyone to eat elsewhere for American Chinese food. An alternative place to eat at is the Rice Wok Express if you want American Chinese food because they use real meat in their dishes. You have been Warned. read more

Owned by same people that own Red Peppers in Denton. They do not have the largest slection in Denton, Evergreen Buffet does. On my visits there was no shrimp and no crab legs. There was a grill that cooked red chicken in the open which was good and there was alot of American food. Very generic place. When first seated had to wait for a server to take a bev order and basic order which has always taken too long to even be recognized. Food that was there was tasty and everything the correct temperature. nothing stood out as exceptional. They told me to go to their other restaurant if I wanted crab legs or shrimp. If it had been less expensive would not have cared. read more

Just went in for dinner at 8pm. Plenty of folks there, but the food was cool to touch on a buffet! We tried to find something to eat that was hot, nope... so we stopped got up and left. Can't say we'll be back. read more

I've been here many, many times and it's been pretty decent. But the last time I was there they thought I skipped on the check. I went to the bathroom and my daughter was getting food and when we both got back to the table, everything on the table had been cleared away and the staff were giving us unfriendly looks. Never going back. read more

By far the worst dining experience that I have had in years. The first problem was finding a clean plate. After going through about five plates, I found one with no food baked on. I should have left at this point. Even though there was steam coming out of the serving tables, a lot of the food was luke warm at best. The large prawns were mealy, rotten texture. I eat only one plate of food. I went to desert bar, and guess what. A fortune was stuck to my plate. Unbelieveable. I will never revisit this establishment again. read more

One of the better Chinese food buffets. They get crowded around dinner time which may explain why their food seems to stay warm. I like the hibachi chicken. read more

I wish I lived closer. This is probably the best Chinese buffet I've been to. When I knew I'd be in Denton this Sunday, I made a point to eat here. Big variety of good quality dishes, and they manage to keep the food hot. Clean. Friendly. Can't ask for much more than that. read more

Have been here for 15 years, it's a part of my childhood. Great food for the $. My fav is the sesame chicken.

Everything was fine and basically what i expected. Until i got to the chicken, It was raw. Salmonella?. Everything else was decent american style chinese food. There is always alot of people there though. Then again its either fast food or places like this in the area. read more

I've been in Denton for 5 years and have been sadly disappointed with the Chinese food option in town. I've had a couple people rave about how great Chinatown was, so we tried it with high hopes, but only to be let down. The food was not that great and not closed to what we had hoped for. read more

Pretty good Chinese buffet fare, we were not disappointed at all.

Their food is very good for the price, and dinner they have Mongolian. Would suggest going when it's a little busy though so it's fresh.

Food was ok, but what bothered me the most was that we were done eating but when the waitress came to pick up plates she reached over our 1 year old and grabbed the plates and almost dropped them on him and she spilled all kinds of food in my wife's lap. I do not know why people can't wait until you get up or at least wait until u can grab plates so that u aren't picking them up over a child's head. I am highly pissed about this and I will not come back here. read more

The inside area is not too bad, but when you arrive, they are in rush to get your order for drink. They didn't let us to take a seat. We were sitting when the lady took the order for drink. The table was too small for four people. A square table with less than 40 inches width. We couldn't move when we put some plates. There was no knife on the table :( and when you need some napkin, you have to ask the waiter or waitress. Usually in buffets, someone takes care of your table and take the extra dishes. No one was doing that in this buffet. Grill had slight variation, and most of the time nobody was there to take care of you. Limited sauce, no ranch for salad. The worst thing that was bothering me all the time was the way the manager and the receptionist staring at people. I felt like they are watching me to find how much I'm eating, BUFFET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no sign for foods showing the name and ingredients!!!!!!!!!! Overall, I never suggest this place for a meal. read more

Didn't even get a chance to eat their food. Called to place a delivery order, they told me they couldn't deliver to my address, so I tried to continue speaking to them about their address with the intentions of ordering carry out and they hung up on me! Called them back, spoke to a different person, and not surprisingly, they didn't care at all. Needless to say, I am pissed, and will not be eating here. They need to work on some serious customer service. read more

the pineapple shrimp is the best. all the food is fresh and the wait staff is friendly.
