The amount of protein I got vs the amount of rice I got for $10. Bro you're paying for rice at this point? First and last time going here

LOVED MY $10 box of RICE? I could wrap my own sh*t and put it over rice to collect more protein from the undigested peanuts then what I got in the vomit you call food

Repeat great service. Repeat great fresh food. I was greeted politely at the drive thru window. Food was fresh, and hot. Very tasty!

It's a dump on the inside. Had to walk through the prep area to use the restroom. I still decided to try it. I ordered E8 Garlic sauce chicken. The sauce was sweet and thick - too much cornstarch maybe. Chicken was thinly sliced but tasted fine - it was all better with soy and chili sauce added on

Awesome store, I came in about an hour ago & there was a line of 4 cars in the drive through & 6 people in line behind me, the Server kept it moving fast & got all of my order right (even the food that my sister asked me to order with no seasoning or sauce) 10/10 would come again! (Hopefully I'll bring a less complicated order next time)

Didn't expect this place to taste so good. Was craving Chinese food and this spot popped up on my Yelp search so why not give it a try. The employees were nice. Good portion and good food. Almost taste authentic and I'm very picky with my Chinese food. Will definitely be back.

This place used to be one of my favorites when I lived in Denton and was attending UNT. By far, the best Chinese to-go restaurants I've had. I used to order their lo mein all the time and it's more than enough to fill you up, but also fairly cheap. More recently, when I was in the area and wanted to try them out, the flavor was different than it used to be. It could have been that day, but the food was still fairly good. Would recommend checking them out and will be returning when in the area.

    Fried rice and orange chicken

The price is affordable and you get loaded with food, but the quality is less than mediocre and its definitely not healthy. I dined in with a friend and ordered orange chicken with fried rice. The food came out to go style in boxes and when opened the food was nice and hot. With two mounds of fried rice and a good portion of orange chicken I was excited to start my meal. The fried rice was extremely bland with an interesting after taste that lingered after you took a bite and the orange chicken was also lacking in flavor. The chicken was coated in sauce but it still tasted a little off, not sweet enough but also with a weird after taste... I feel like the food was loaded in msg and I could only eat half of my food before kind of giving up. I try not to waste food but I ended up throwing the other half of my food away. As always I recommend giving it a try so you can see for yourself but maybe opt for white rice rather than fried rice.

    That's a lot of rice for $1.29!

It's still a big deal to find modestly priced high-quality burgers served super fast. This isn't your Mickey D's or those five dudes or even that burger royalty. In-N-Out is simply awesome and they now have some 40 locations across Texas. Mrs. K. and I stopped in because I saw the big neon sign tower from the highway and could not resist. After parking (because the Sprinter won't fit in their drive through), I ordered at the counter. it was busy at 6:30pm on a weekday so it did take about ten minutes before my number was called. That gave Mrs. K. enough time to drain a first cup of sweet tea and send me for a refill. I picked up my burger and brought it back to the table. A "double double" which comes with two burger patties and two slices of cheese plus the other great stuff, along with a small basket of fries. Mrs. K. isn't eating meat these days so while I enjoyed the heck out of this hot and delicious burger, she consumed about half of the fries. A couple of things to keep in mind, that I had forgotten. In-N-Out has a great secret menu. You can order our burger "animal style" which adds mustard grilled beef, extra pickles, extra grilled onions and extra sauce (it's like Thousand-Island dressing). And I forgot that In-N-Out does their fries a little light - I have to remember to ask for them well done for crispy fries. Next time! [Review 413 of 2026 - 722 in Texas - 25596 overall]

Lies a sacred temple spoken of only in late-night smoke circles and whispered among the enlightened: Cheba Hut. A place said to be crafted by the Ancient Toastmasters--mystical beings who forged balance, flavor, and perfect toasted bread at the dawn of the munchie universe. Its walls are etched with hemp-runes. The air vibrates with the scent of destiny, jalapeños, and lightly toasted magic. Inside this hallowed sanctuary, two legendary food-warriors rise whenever a hungry traveler approaches the counter: THE DEATH STAR -- DARK LORD OF FLAVOR Formed in the cosmic smoke between light and shadow, the Death Star is stacked with smoked turkey, salami, bacon, pepper jack, and cream cheese--the five elemental forces of the Stoner Pantheon. Jalapeños explode like tiny meteors. Pickles and onions whisper ancient secrets handed down through generations of late-night snack shamans. The Death Star doesn't simply satisfy your hunger; it bends your entire existence into its orbit. It hits with the gravitational pull of a black hole fueled by toasted bread, forbidden knowledge, and perfect munchie science. THE KALI MIST -- SHAMAN OF SPICE Emerging from the sacred fog that drifts across the Hippie Highlands, the Kali Mist is a creature of balance and enlightenment: roasted turkey, bacon, chipotle mayo, avocado, jalapeños, pepper jack, and crisp veggies standing in alignment like the chakras of a toasted sage. One bite opens your mind. Two bites expand your consciousness. Three bites make you swear you understand the language of houseplants and incense smoke. The Kali Mist is not a sandwich; it is a ceremony. A vision quest wrapped in perfect bread. And so I stand there, a lone wanderer in the Munchie Realms, bearing witness to the eternal struggle of these two herb-blessed titans. The Death Star calls me to the dark side of indulgence. The Kali Mist guides me toward enlightenment and spicy transcendence. I am torn. I am lifted. I am absolutely elevated. Nothing at Cheba Hut is ordinary. Nothing is mid. Every ingredient tastes like it was crafted by stoner monks who toasted bread using the heat of the sun and ground pepper by chanting ancient munchie hymns. I could eat here every single day for the remainder of my earthly journey and consider it a life fulfilled. Cheba Hut isn't a restaurant. It is a ritual. A quest. A toasted religion. All hail the Hut. The legend lives on.

They're often playing 2000's and 90's pop music, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. As with new locations, there always a growing pain with staffing as they find out what works for them, but this place seems to have a pretty rock solid staff. With the open counters and the kitchen space in plain view you can see them prepping the food from the dining room, and everyone seems well-adjusted and very good with customers. Overall, I have a new hangout spot for my family when we want dinner and dessert! I really enjoy this place. Its location makes it kind of hard to find, but it's worth the search. I don't know what the fuss is about the one star reviews, maybe they were trimming of poor workers from the grand opening (there's always a few) but they seem to have caught their stride. As for Michael, he was nothing but kind and friendly to me, my wife, AND my kids. I've seen the other review, while-heartedly disagree with them on their conduct with (behaving) children. The only other location was in Oklahoma but they closed it down practically a decade ago, so Denton is the only location now. I love that Crooked Crust offers unlimited toppings for no additional price and that there's so many different sauces and toppings to choose from. I will say that the pizza is thinner than it used to be (it was always fairly thin, but still had some weight to it. Now it's practically thin crust or at least it was when I went recently.) I also noticed that the 50% military discount has been changed, but that's to be expected, especially post-Covid. Either way, Crooked Crust is still a family favorite and I'll pretty much always stop by when I'm passing through Denton. Customer service is great at this location also and every time I've stopped by during the day, it's practically impossible empty so service is quick.
