Great burgers cooked fresh and for how long the line was we got our food in a decent amount of time...Rootbeer was so good

Burger and fries are incredibly fresh and tasty. Employees are well dressed and seem nice. 50s music adds to the atmosphere. My only recommendation is clean up the tables and floors that rude customers leave dirty. Again that a person problem. 10 stars all the way. read more

Overall this place is great for onion rings and the root beer. The burgers are just OK. In the future I would rec the rings and r beer only. The hours are weird and it's hard to get updates on when they're open. There's been a few times where we've tried to go there and it would say that they were open in Yelp / Google and it would be closed with no notice. read more

From the second I stepped in this place, I was taken back 50 years to a better time. I was back at Lou's or Bill' drive in, or maybe an old DQ. What's not to love? Been driving by this place for a while. Ate dinner somewhere else and still decided to stop in for a shake. Walking in the door you could just TELL the food was gonna be great. Got a chocolate, peanut butter banana malt, absolutely delicious, and they use real bananas! Along with a bacon double cheese burger and fries, made with beef tallow BTW! And holy cow, a REAL burger you can crave is what that flavor was. Husband and I ate half the burger in the parkin lot and came back the next day to get another burger after we already had lunch. For a very long time I've gone to this place and either gotten the steak sandwich like you see here or a burger and every time I go, the guy who I think is the owner is always greeting. Everyone that walks in has very friendly and polite. Today when I went to go get this steak sandwich, it seemed like a very young crew that was in there but no big deal because I knew the steak sandwich was going to be delicious just like it is. But the guy who took my order didn't say hello. Didn't really do anything and it took him a few moments to get to the counter because he was too busy. Joking around with his coworkers. I let that one roll off my back, grab my drink and sat down and wait for my food and as I'm waiting the next group of people come in and he's very attentive and giving warm greetings and everything. Consistency is key especially when it comes to people coming in and patronizing the business. For the guy that took my order, I say to you please be attentive to everyone that comes in and just give a warm greeting. That's one of the main things that keeps me coming to Mr. Frost is over any of the other burger joints in the city. Please work on this. read more

This place was recommend to us as an old school Denton staple. We are so glad we went! It is an old school diner and if you go in with that in mind you are going to have a great time! The food is tasty, greasy in a good way, great shakes and drinks! Ordering is easy and straightforward at the counter and as your food comes out your name is called and everything was hot! The inside has a few booths and tables and about half of the people who came in while we were there took their food to go. I love places like this that have lasted through the ups and downs of the restaurant business. Also, it is pretty cool that it has been the same family since the 50's. Walked up to the counter and the service was extremely nice and willing to accommodate my strange request I asked for the most flavorful item they had. A young gentleman suggested the Benny special with onion rings and a drink. The burger (Benny special) was delicious it had onions, grilled jalapeños, bacon and cheese on a double with their chili when I tell you this filled me up but also gave me a great experience of flavor I mean it. I'm still a huge fan of Frosty's. I don't know if it's the warm welcome from the charming man in apron taking orders. Or if it's the cute jukebox and simple seating but this place just feels good. I love the fish sandwich so much that I don't typically try anything else, but this time I tried the fried burrito and it was satisfying. Fish sandwich, fries, large soda and burrito came in about 20 bucks. This is great quick food at fair pricing and relaxing atmosphere. read more

These are REALLLLLY good burgers !! We got 5 cheeseburgers, fries and tots. The tots were perfectly crisp and the fries were dusted with the red seasonings on the table. We throughly enjoyed the food. OH, we got a black cow, it was soooo good! read more

When I want to travel back in time and get a good burger, chocolate shake, and fries, tots, or onion rings as a personal treat. This is where I go. It is incredibly fresh. It is incredibly consistent. It is incredibly good and I really enjoy seeing the same faces there year after year after year. This place is just absolutely packed during lunchtime, as it should be. I go super simple on the cheeseburger, single patty, cheese of course, mayonnaise lettuce, and extra pickles. That way you taste the honest American goodness. I don't know how long this place has been around, but it's like a travel back in time for me. I really enjoy it. I go out of my way at times to eat there because it's just so absolutely refreshing and unpretentious never know who you're going to see there! Ate here for the first time today. Been around since 1954! It's really cool because it looks like it's all the original tile and tables etc! Super nice guy working the counter, owners son I think. Fast service! It gets very busy so go early! We had the old fashion double cheese burger added Mayo and mustard, fries and famous root beer! All delicious!!! Out first time there was right before they closed and the owner said as long as people are walking in, I'm taking orders, which we really appreciated. We ate outside so they could clean the indoor dining area, and he bought us a rootbeer float for being First Timers!! This place has stood the test of time, and saying that, when you walk in, if they're busy, you'll wait in a line which should give you enough time to decide what to order. The staff was running like a well-oiled machine. Taking orders, cooking food and getting it to the hungry customers. Took my grandkids and someone turned on a Disney song on the jukebox. My four-year-old grandson started dancing and performing to the song to the delight of most of the other customers there who were clapping and seem to be enjoying his performance. An older gentleman who someone says it's the owner walked over and shut him down by telling him that his performance "hurt his ears" and then walked into employee door. Other customers rallied to his support and one other little girl about his age joined in in the performance. A total putz. Nearly $100 of decent but mediocre food and really crappy attitude. I had the double cheeseburger with extra mustard, wonderfully outstanding. I grew up in Dallas in the 50s and 60s and loved "Prinice Of Hamburgers" on Lemon Ave and "Frostys" is very, very similar and in a lot of ways better. One of the better burgers out there! Got the #5 with their special sauce and the buns were soft kinda like whata, the double meat was perfectly seasoned. Burgers are not thick which is how a burger should be! There was no possible good photo angles but thats how I like it anyways, looks do not matter as long as it taste good! Their frys are not salted but after adding some with the provided salt its great. Plenty of frys! Coffee Milkshake, I personally would pass on its decent but not my exact thing since they use soft serve. Total was $12 Perfect small burger joint, the lady Saturday lunch was real sweet. read more
