    Chicken w/ Cashew nuts

The hot and sour soup here is legit. It has a great viscosity to it, and packs a decent kick. I liked the variety of ingredients in it, and it was a great way to start off my meal. The crisp topping that came with it tasted a tad stale. I got the beef chow fun. The beef was nice and tender, but that's pretty much where the good stuff ends. The noodles were one big soft, soggy mess. It almost breaks apart when I lift it up with chopsticks and comes up in chunks. It also has snow peas and celery in it... Which is different. Also got the chicken w/ cashews. The chicken is battered... And soggy. It was kind of an off putting texture. The Veggies were nice and crisp. Not much else I can say about it. I don't think I'd come back here again, unless I was in the mood for hot & sour soup. Food doesn't seem promising at all.

The food here is very bland and unflavorful. We spent almost $50 on food for my family, since we were craving Chinese and this place had such high reviews for a takeout place. We ordered crab Rangoon, spring rolls, Orange chicken, general tso chicken, pork fried rice, and their beef pan-fried noodles. The Rangoon was fried so hard it cut the roof of my mouth, and the filling was very bland. The spring rolls tasted old. The orange chicken had zero orange flavor, too much honey, and the chunks of orange peel were very hard to chew. The general tso was not spicy at all, and the saice was very bland. The beef pan-fried noodles were very chewy and felt like styrofoam in your mouth, and was all vegetables with maybe four or five strips of beef. The only good thing was their pork fried rice. That was delicious, so we kind of had to ration out our portions since everything else sucked. I don't know why these reviews are so high. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because their portion sizes are large, especially their pieces of chicken.

    Really nice prices

Decent take out. Portions are huge. We only had one night left in Williamsburg and had to leave lots of leftovers. Very friendly staff.

Peter Chang (Williamsburg)…read more GOOD: mixed meat Mei fun was excellent. Service was good and friendly. Prices are reasonable (but*) BAD: The pork fried dumplings needed a longer fry. They only appeared to touch the frying pan for barely a minute. They had a steamed, flimsy texture, and I was going for that nice crust, which separates a pan-fried dumpling from a steamed dumpling. My server was very good but the kitchen was very slow tonight, it took almost another twenty-five minutes to get the entree out after the appetizer, and the restaurant was only moderately busy at best. The table next to me also had to wait for every course. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. Even the dumplings that were under fried had good flavor. *Please be aware, which came as a shock to me, that the restaurants on that particular street are subject to a 12%to 13% percent sales tax, which was really off putting. I would still go back to Peter Chang's but probably another location because of the tax and the slow kitchen.

This isn't your run of the mill prepackaged Chinese restaurant, they make authentic Chinese and dishes that break your perception of what American Chinese restaurants can be. I had the crispy pork skin, fish and cilantro soup, and the Szechuan hot pot. All of it was amazing. The restaurant it self isn't anything fancy but the food makes up for it. I went in and looked at the menu. This is what I called a confused restaurant. Menu covered Japanese, Thai, Chinese, and Korean food. I should have known better to never eat at a confused restaurant. Still, too tired to search other restaurants, I went ahead and ordered Gal Bi, out of gazillion different dishes. My thought was how hard is it to screw up Gal Bi. It's such a very simple, easy to make K dish. Nope, I was wrong! No flavor, it's super oily, and because they are not specialized K restaurants, they didnt have bibimbap sauce to alleviate its bland flavors. I only had 2 little ribs and asked to box up the rest. I lost my appetite completely. Yup! That's the size for a $20 dish! Stupid me! I should have walked away once I read the menu.

It's pretty easy to make the order and they have a nice variety here. They do have my fav which strictly speaking isn't really Chinese, Bourbon chicken. Yum! I ordered spring rolls and the Bourbon chicken. I was give a time frame about 30 min. This gave me pause as it's usually 40+ minutes. Lo and behold, it was actually less which really gave me pause. This means they didn't cook it fresh, that they just gave me leftover from lunch. It arrived and sure enough, not fresh. It was very dry with no sauce at all. They didn't even include any sauce for the spring rolls! This was a sad dunch for me. Being really hungry though I ate half of the chicken anyway. Oh well. Maybe it's because I ordered so early. I know for next time!
