Food was excellent , and our server was very friendly and helpful. BUT price wound up being a bit steep. We ordered: Maguro Ninja - Tuna, Black Pepper, Avocado, Asparagus inside, wrapped with Tuna Slices, Red Chili Sauce & Cilantro 17 Alaska Maki - we had Salmon with Avocado - 10 Masago(Capelin Roe) nigiri - 7 Sea Urchin(Uni) nigiri - mkt Green Tea - 4 Our bill came to $61.05. So, near as I can determine. 2 pieces of uni were @ $18. I like Uni, and I get market prices, but that was a bit of a shock. Other than that, another excellent meal.

We had an early dinner at Gold Taste and left full for the rest of the night. The seating and ambiance is not much to brag about, but that's not what I came for. The beverages are all in bottles, which I appreciate as more sanitary. We ordered two rolls and Tuna Tataki. There's a lot of different options to pick from regarding rolls and nigiri and sashimi. The rolls are a little over priced but given the quality of the sushi, I wasn't upset about it. There's also more options that are reasonably priced for two people to share. Our server was very kind but not over bearing. We look forward to coming here more often and trying more options on the menu. Overall not bad.

Must be expensive uni because we didn't ask the price as my hubby was so happy to see the sign outside notifying customers that they had it. So he ordered it and I got two pieces of masago. The masago cost about $7 and I added on an Alaskan maki Salmon roll for 10. Also had hot green tea on this cold blustery lunchtime, which was matcha for $4. All perfectly delicious again. Hubby had Maguro Ninja: tuna wrapped around avocado and it had scallions with cilantro on top. We traded half way through our meals. The total bill was a shocking $76. Obviously those two uni pieces were not worth the cost. We love the convenience of this location, how clean it is, and how friendly the owner(?) is who has served us this time again so likely will be back, but we have learned to ask for the price first. Expensive lesson learned; we don't get an itemized bill, just a total tab to settle by the way.

    Nice decor

A pleasant surprise. Was binging for some sushi and found Gold Taste. At first sight, was concerned as it is in a small strip center. Then I opened the door and it had a great vibe. Well decorated, with upbeat music and a great offering on the menu. The sushi and the Ramen were spot on and the service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu .

I stopped in here to grab dinner with a friend. The inside isn't much to look but the service is great! Our server was so kind and doted on us throughout the duration of our meal. The menu was overwhelming. There were lots of pages with lots of choices. I couldn't keep up and ended up getting a basic California roll and spicy tuna roll. Both were good. If you are a coffee with your dinner kind of person than this place is for you. They have delicious coffee.

Service was great and attentive. The ambiance was comfortable and clean. But the sushi was fantastic. We highly recommend - spider maki, Mount fuji and the super deluxe. We will be regulars!

A very nice restaurant with kind & respectful staff! Seemed very traditional. Not the regular bento box I'm used to. They had cut apples, 2 pieces of shrimp tempura, seaweed salad, and 10 piece spicy tuna. Every thing on my plate was a 10/10. The tuna was the better than what's offered in my area! Their seaweed salad and tempura was seasoned!! Hear me out a lot of other places do not season their tempura so this was great for me! I was disappointed in their egg drop soup! It wasn't the best! The inside is pretty normal & everything is very clean!! They have a very full menu.. A little overwhelming..I mean from top to bottom filled!! It was a lot to take in, but I'll definitely be back to try more!

As we approached this establishment there was a sign that included their HUGE menu and writing that said patrons who plan to take out or plan on dining in should call their number to put in an order or to be seated. We were on a time crunch so we called for take out. They said the food would take 30 minutes which seemed long compared to other take out places. But we chose to wait. After I placed our order a couple knocked on the door to be seated. 45 minutes later we went to pick up our food, it wasn't ready...they were "working on it" however the couple that dined in and placed their order AFTER ours were paying their bill. In total we waited a little over an hour and the food was not worth the time or money. The spider roll was the worse I've had, it had too much sauce and the soft shell crab was fried too hard so it had no taste, just crunch. The fried rice was bland, it also had corn in it which I'm not used to. And the shrimp temporary ramen was very underwhelming. On a positive note the person that took my order was very friendly and warm.

Wow! This is the best food I've had in Williamsburg. The sushi is fantastic and the service was excellent. The wait staff are so friendly and conversational. We had the Mount Fuji roll (my favorite) and I highly recommend that one. We also had the Unagi Special and the Spider Maki roll. The rolls are delicious and so filling. They really give you a lot of food. They play very cute and sweet music in the background and it's such a peaceful experience. We have eaten at some of the most popular restaurants in Williamsburg and none of them were as good as this place. I wish I could give 10 stars and up their average. You have to try this place if you love sushi and are in Williamsburg.

I love supporting local businesses ran by people who take such pride in what they do and the product that they serve. Everybody as Gold Taste has been so sweet and nice towards us every time I have been there and they go out out of their way to make you feel welcome. The building itself is on a corner store in a busy shopping center that houses Target, Publix, and so forth. I like that once you step into Gold Taste, the window decorations and ambience allow you to escape from the bustle of the shopping complex and into a warm, classic, nostalgic feeling Japanese restaurant. The place is nothing fancy, but clean and homey. The menu is quite large and they are able to produce quite a few different types of rolls and dishes. I have sampled quite a few items from the menu and all of them have been excellent, which is impressive to me given the variation of items. On top of the quality being high, the plating is artful and pleasing to the eye and they even have appealing and cute glassware. Stop by Gold Taste if you want some lovely sushi or other lovely Japanese dishes!

I went in and looked at the menu. This is what I called a confused restaurant. Menu covered Japanese, Thai, Chinese, and Korean food. I should have known better to never eat at a confused restaurant. Still, too tired to search other restaurants, I went ahead and ordered Gal Bi, out of gazillion different dishes. My thought was how hard is it to screw up Gal Bi. It's such a very simple, easy to make K dish. Nope, I was wrong! No flavor, it's super oily, and because they are not specialized K restaurants, they didnt have bibimbap sauce to alleviate its bland flavors. I only had 2 little ribs and asked to box up the rest. I lost my appetite completely. Yup! That's the size for a $20 dish! Stupid me! I should have walked away once I read the menu.

Before we moved to Williamsburg, we visited the area for vacations, and Thai Tara is alway the first place we go for dinner and the final meal before leaving. Whether you crave the freshest Sushi/Sashimi or you prefer authentic Thai street food, you will find it here. We have traveled to Bangkok many times, and from first hand experience can say without exaggerating that the Chicken Sate or Fresh Rolls are as authentic as you might find at the street markets in BKK. The Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups are a treat. The extensive selection of warm Thai dishes like Pad Thai and Penang Curry are outstanding. We often include a hand roll or a selection of Sashimi from the Sushi bar in our orders. Never has the sushi bar prepared anything less than perfect. And if you want a real treat, finish your meal with a Mango Sticky Rice. Although small in size, it's surely is a dessert of the gods. An extensive bar is also on hand at Thai Tara for your favorite hand mixed cocktail, umbrella drink or beer, including Thailand's own Singha, a refreshing lager. Plan to arrive early because this cozy (but not small) place gets very busy, especially on weekends. Parking can be tight. But even in the busiest evenings, service is always prompt, attentive, and with a Thai smile.
