A fantastic place if you want to get Thai food for dinner or lunch. I've been for both lunch and dinner and both experiences were great. For dinner, we got a variety to try with a friend who was a stranger to Thai food. She got the fried rice and loved it. My go-to dish is red curry with pork, which I ordered hot the first time (was not hot enough for me) and Thai hot the second time (nice amount of spice). If you enjoy spicy food and still being able to taste all the different flavors, Thai hot might be the right choice for you. Both times, our server was friendly, fast and attentive, and the restaurant was very clean. Around lunchtime it can be quite quiet. I got the mango sticky rice to go and it traveled well, which is good for when you prefer time between dinner and dessert. I look forward to coming back.

Great service, fast and very kind. Ok for kids- my 4 year old did well. Small place but no wait time when we went. Great vegetarian options. Fresh roll was very good. I wish they had a better hot oil option.

If you're looking for a good Thai restaurant in Williamsburg with excellent food, white table cloths, and a relaxed atmosphere, Aticha is the place to go. Aticha has a good size and well curated menu that offers traditional dishes with many choices as well as some specialty entrees. You can request spice to the level of your liking. Portions are of a good size, and many of guests took home some of their good. We enjoyed ours so much and weren't rushed to leave, so we finished every bite! During this visit, we enjoyed the steamed dumplings appetizer, which comes with four delicate and flavorful dumplings and their house soy with garlic sauce. We also enjoyed the fried rice with chicken. We added extra vegetables for $3 because we love vegetables. We also had the Red Curry with Pork and the Chicken Garlic Carrots and Broccoli dishes. All were excellent. For beverages, we each enjoyed a glass of wine. The Dashwood Sauvignon Blanc was especially refreshing. We finished dinner with the Mango and Rice dessert, which we did get to go. It was beautifully prepared and very tasty! Prices were higher than less formal Thai restaurants, and we felt the meal and dining experience were worth the extra cost. The servers are friendly and kind. They want to ensure you have a good experience, and they delivered!

It's easy to see why Aticha is a 2024 Best of Coastal Virginia winner. The ambiance and service from start to finish was professional, inviting, and perfect for a low key date night, or a fun girls night. The Thai Iced Tea is amazing. There's no cheating with the fresh ingredients that are used. We had the steamed dumpling for an appetizer. It was tender, flavorful, and fresh. The garlic soy sauce was a perfect tangy compliment to the dumpling. I had the chicken pad Thai, and my partner had the Pad See Ew. My pad Thai was cooked perfectly. The noodles were tender but not overcooked, and same for the chicken. My partner got their meal Thai hot and it was on par with the level of spice described in the menu. His chicken was perfectly marinated and cooked. We did not order wine but the selection was pretty good and mid shelf. We can't wait to come back!

I find Aticha's food and service to be consistently very good. I had the Massamun curry with extra crispy tofu and my companion had the Pad See Ew both were excellent. A delightful vegetable soup was served with lunch. The restaurant's Art and interior design creates a pleasant dining experience.

Amazing food and presentation. From appetizers to massaman curry and several points in between the food was good. the weakest link was the Pad thai which was ok, but nothing special. Of special note was the appitizer platter that came on a cure bamboo tower with a single flower vase and fresh flower as part of the presentation.

Consistent good food! Dine inside for freshest, hottest food and excellent service.

First timer . Went here when visiting Williamsburg . Our family was waiting for some good Thai food . We love Thai cuisines and saw a 4+ review in google but I didn't feel it was super special . Food was average but some items were good . First of all, the service was actually pretty good . They weee closing at 10 pm and we went about 9, but they didn't hurry us out . Lots of space to sit inside and liked the ambience. To start with we had Thai tea and it was very very average. Not much creamy and it was t sweet. The starters were good - spring rolls and tofu one. Chicken satay was average . For main dish - we did drunken noodle and it was awesomeeeee. Thai red curry too was superb . Thai rice was ok . Once again the chicken cilantro item was very average . No spice at all, and we wanted .. overall it was an average experience . Chicken dishes were a little expensive for the quantity . Thumbs up overall :)

Real good Thai restaurant with great service. We enjoyed stopping in and the food was delicious. Crab fried rice is the dish to get here.

Sushi is just okay, i've had more quality rolls with a lot of different fillings for the same price. Yakisoba is very good with the yum yum sauce especially the beef which is tender (my family really liked the yakisoba and I assume the hibachi and chahan is probably just as good). The atmosphere: It's a small restaurant best suited for small groups, though there are a few tables that can accommodate larger parties. You order at the cashier and they bring the food to your table. There's also a self-serve drink station, and they provide free water cups that you can refill. The food: We started with the takoyaki and chicken karaage. The takoyaki was good, but fairly standard. The chicken karaage portion was generous, and the pieces were large. The coating was lighter than what I'm used to, which kept the chicken juicy, but it did make it a bit oily. I also wished there was more seasoning in the chicken or batter since I ended up relying on the spicy mayo sauce quite a bit. For my entree, I ordered the pork katsu with rice and tonkotsu sauce. It was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. I also would've preferred a slaw instead of just a few pieces of lettuce. Portions overall were big, and the dishes are definitely shareable. The service: Service was touch-and-go, very much a fast-casual setup.

They only appeared to touch the frying pan for barely a minute. They had a steamed, flimsy texture, and I was going for that nice crust, which separates a pan-fried dumpling from a steamed dumpling. My server was very good but the kitchen was very slow tonight, it took almost another twenty-five minutes to get the entree out after the appetizer, and the restaurant was only moderately busy at best. The table next to me also had to wait for every course. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. Even the dumplings that were under fried had good flavor. *Please be aware, which came as a shock to me, that the restaurants on that particular street are subject to a 12%to 13% percent sales tax, which was really off putting. I would still go back to Peter Chang's but probably another location because of the tax and the slow kitchen.

I came here with my parents and girlfriend as a way to cap a nice day of introducing her to them and I was unpleasantly surprised by the visit. Despite the fact that you cannot park in front of the establishment , there was very little signage in the back to route you to where you needed to be to reach the host stand. Once we got there, there was some awkward interaction from the hostess to get us seated, and we reviewed our menus. We all opted for the peanut soup ($10 each) as an appetizer, and my girlfriend and I opted for the Roast Duck ($50 each) and my parents both opted for the Salmon with crab on top ($59 each). While the peanut soup was excellent (and available elsewhere), the roast duck was flavorless, the accompanying vegetables cold, and the mashed potatoes were not enough to save the entree. The "free" Sally Lunn bread and cornbread were quite nice, though again not enough to save the meal, nor was the bread pudding. My parents told me they liked the salmon meals but without sampling it I have to take their word for it. I risk seeming ignorant here so to be clear: I have enjoyed a number of elevated meals where the high prices were entirely justified by the quality of food, level of service, and upscale atmosphere. King's Arms failed in every respect: the food was middling at best, the service was okay but failed to make enough callbacks to avoid running out of water, and the ambiance was spoiled by a large party with eight children they decided to seat in the middle of the room, thereby ensuring a loud distraction for everyone. While this was indeed an interesting experience from a historical perspective, it is utterly unfit to charge the prices it does and I strongly recommend against coming here. The extra star is for the soup, definitely seek out the peanut soup (but do it somewhere else). Overall: 2.0 stars ---- Pros: - The peanut soup is excellent, as is the Sally Lunn bread - The historical experience of dining where those in antiquity have is quite cool. Cons: - By fine dining standards, the rest of the fare here is laughably bad. - The service is decent but nowhere near where it should be given the airs they put on. - Prices are exorbitant and horrifying to anyone with an eye for value. - Directions and parking are an additional pain point. - If you know you have a large party of children, plan seating accordingly. This is an awful way to ruin the experience of everyone else who is paying a lot to be here.
