We used to frequent here for take out ALL THE TIME, especially during COVID (what a God send it was). As of late, the food quality (taste specifically) has deteriorated immensely. The last order my family ordered in the beginning of January 2022 was literally TASTELESS. This was the 2nd meal where we weren't completely satisfied and my mother called, asking if they had new owners or new cooks. They advised my mother it was under new ownership and asked for feedback. My mom told them the food is tasteless. Whether it was the egg drop soup, pork lo mein, vegetables, or pork fried rice...it was dead. We tried one more time since then to see if they had taken any of the recommendations into consideration and unfortunately it was still tasteless. We will not be returning. read more

The Happy Family had seafood that was NOT fresh. I had 1 shrimp. It was chewy and tasted stale.

TLDR: try the bourbon chicken & pork fried rice! Best in the area for sure! Order a serving of veggies with it as the chicken comes with only 2 pieces of broccoli. We ordered carry our tonight & I am so glad we gave this place another try! Very decent portions with good flavors. I have tried a few of the Chinese take out restaurants in the area and haven't found one with decent fried rice until today! Very pleased with the quick order and happy service although we did not dine in, it is a quaint yet clean restaurant if you so choose to eat there. There is also ample parking but, the shopping complex can be busy after working hours. Overall I will be going back and I am happy to have a new go to Chinese food location! I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant and trying new places as I find them. China Wok is conveniently located next to a Publix. I got a hot and sour soup and one dinner. The soup tasted like hot pepper water and the food was completely bland. Their prices are relatively lower than other Chinese restaurants though. read more

Recently moved to the east lake area and was glad to find a Chinese place so close. This is pretty standard, Chinese take out. I really enjoyed the vegetable lo mein, it had good flavor and was not too greasy. Lots of vegetables too! The general tso chicken has good flavor and the spice was very mild. Some of the chicken pieces were a little tough but like I said, standard Chinese take out. The employees were friendly and able to complete my take out order in about 15 minutes. Getting a take out there is a "Slam Dunk" for fresh, just made, great Chinese food. First time I was in there was 2 weeks ago.....second time 2 days later....third time last Thursday & I would go back today but they are closed on Monday. 1st time I tried this Restaurant I ordered the Pu Pu Platter, which I did not like, as I found the meat to be on the tough side. Decided to give this Restaurant a 2nd try, but sorry that I did, as I feel like I wasted my money. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken Dinner, which came with rice and egg rolls, plus fortune cookies. The Chicken was tough, the rice was dry, and putting sauce on it only made it too spicy. The egg rolls were hard, and the fortune cookie was too sweet, nothing tasted fresh. Needless to say, I doubt I will be going there again. We had gone there in the past, quite a lot. I believe it has changed hands because the last two times were very disappointing. Combination wanton/egg drop soup: wantons were very doughy & the soup had hardly any "egg drop" in it. Watery. PuPu platter: ribs were fatty & tough. Beef skewers were tough. Both of the past basted in a teriyaki glaze. Egg rolls: dry & hard (thrown away). Shrimp: mushy (thrown away). Fried wantons: hard as a rock. Chicken wings: over done pigeon wings? Crab Rangoon: hard to tell, no flavor. No shrimp toast (as in menu). Lemon Chicken: a small piece of mushy chicken coated in a thick mushy breading tossed in a lemony flavor sauce. Shrimp with lobster sauce: Sauce was almost like the egg drop soup, with peas & mushy shrimp. Sorry to say, we won't be ordering there in the future. There are other Chinese takeout restaurants close by that will be tried. The new owners should have kept the old recipes. read more

I ordered the Chef's special seafood delight for 13.48. The description called for Lobster, jumbo shrimp, fresh scallops and assorted Chinese vegetables. The only proteins were shrimp and fake KRAB sticks. No lobster, no scallops. The cost was much higher than the shrimp with vegetables but that is what is was. Skip the SEAFOOD DELIGHT it's just a bowl of shrimp with vegetables. Nothing special. Very disappointed. read more

China Wok food was great had some special request I'm extremely allergic to mushrooms They had no problem with that seem to be the best Chinese food I had found ever since I moved out of Ohio and New York oh boy I've change my mind now I ordered today I had called him on the phone and explained it to them to let them know again it was me because I've been at this place every few weeks since I found it great food. the one gentleman on the phone tells me great fine no problem everything's OK I get it it only has broccoli only in it I understand we're going through hard times right now but to tell me on the telephone all good we went over it twice all good just received order now called him I said well I am not going to order from here ever because he was extremely rude and didn't even say we will remake ur order or give u credit or return I told them they could come pick it up they didn't offer any solutions I said well I won't ever order anymore he said oh OK that's all right so I just want to let you know anybody else if this helps out if you have any special requests on anything and like I said I know we're going through difficult times but we can't go out and get the food like we would like so what do you and sometimes you get sick and tired of eating your own food every day don't go here they'll tell you they'll do one thing and do another and if they don't care about you as a customer then how well do they care about the way they prepare ur food .... they were extremely unprofessional and RUDE WONT BE BACK hope this helps someone read more

This is the 2nd and last time we order from this takeout restaurant and again our order was screwed up.. I st. time we were short 1 complete meal, 2nd we got fried a large order of fried rice in place of the Egg foo young and each time we drove back and although they reluctantly apologized, if thats what passes for an apology in China but the young man who took our order and brought out the correct order has a tad of an attitude... Everyone gets a second chance in my world nobody gets a third. The original owners let it become a pigsty before it was shut down last time and I have a feeling these folks will go the same way in the near future. FINALLY! REAL NEW YORK STYLE CHINESE FOOD in Florida! These folks are from Elmhurst Queens and everything we tried was delicious. Fresh, tasty, flavorful, not greasy. Everything. The hot & sour soup was to die for. We missed good Chinese take out since moving to Florida, in fact, we stopped eating Chinese for a long time because we just didn't like anything else nearby, but now we have a new favorite place!
