    Menú - Lunch Specials 7 days a week $8.88
    Larry S.

Sunday after church, family (6) voted for Chinese. Daughter had been told their Gen Cho Chicken was the best around. But it is just a carry out place, so we called in an order for Moo Goo Gai Pan, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Bourbon Chicken and three (3) General Cho Chicken. Plus an order of Dim Sum. Most of the family went to our house to set the table and drinks. My eldest daughter and I picked up the orders. Now most places our party of 6 would be well over $100, but this was only $66, given that we all wanted items from the $8.88 lunch combos with rice and egg rolls. Plus the fact that we all made two meals from it. Order was ready in 10 minutes after arrival. We hurried home and dug in - after giving thanks. Dim Sum was great. Shrimp Lobster was great. Bourbon Chicken was great. Gen Tso Chicken was superb. Just as we were told, spiced just right and not heavy with a lot of batter. Everyone loved it. A bit disappointed at the Moo Goo, my dish. It was very good but missing some veggies my usual place has. Not bad but not great. Overall a great place with some really good food and quick service, especially if like Gen Tso Chicken!

Overall, a great place to meet friends for dinner…read more This place gets super crowded during happy hour, and it makes sense because they're happy hour is fantastic. However, be warned that if you come even slightly after happy hour, which is about 7 PM that it may be very hard to find a table. The restaurant is quite large, so it is impressive how busy they are. I don't know when they started doing this, but now you can park on the grass in front of the restaurant so it makes parking a lot easier. You don't have to be worried about finding a parking spot in their lot. I got a Yoshi roll and a salmon skin hand roll. Both were pretty good. I wouldn't say this is the best sushi ever, but it is solid and pretty much the only option in this area. The lychee martini is sweet, so if you like your drink sweet, this is for you. I tried the lavender margarita after, which was delicious and had a good taste of lavender. They were a good combination since I don't think I overly loved either, but I liked both. They do have a huge opening to outside and a large outdoor eating space. So if you're prone to mosquitoes, you may want to spray yourself just in case you end up sitting outside or near the outside area. They also have quite a few TVs and a large bar. Our server was fantastic, she was really nice and efficient. She had a great personality. This is a solid place to grab food and I know I will be back.

Recently, we decided to get together with some longtime friends, and one of them suggested Sushi Alive--so we gave it another try. We were a group of nine and arrived around 5:00 p.m. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and taken great care of all evening. Nancy--affectionately known as "Beautiful Nancy"--was our server, and she did an outstanding job. The food came out efficiently, everything was well-timed, and she handled a complicated four-way split check without missing a beat. I was honestly surprised at how good the food was. We ordered the sushi and sashimi entrée along with a salmon and cream cheese roll--everything was fresh and delicious. We also had the spicy seafood soup, which brought back memories from when Sushi Alive was located in Northdale, and it was just as good as I remembered. I even snagged a taste of the calamari appetizer, which was excellent. Big thanks to Nancy for making it such an enjoyable evening. Sushi Alive is officially back on our list, and we'll definitely be returning soon.

The squid sashimi was delicious, this is a must get for me. I got two servings of tobiko sushi, red, because I thought my older son would want some. This time he didn't, so next time I should get one serving of tobiko sushi and one serving of just tobiko sashimi as always I got a Saba sushi for my dad. The rolls are where I really faultered this time. I got the fresh salmon roll, which I always love so that's a good choice. My younger son actually kept eating the rice from that roll so I got salmon sashimi through that. I ordered the super protein because I didn't think it had rice in it, when it says it has rice paper, it means rice paper instead of seaweed. I felt like there was too much mayo, because I ended up ordering three rolls with mayo inadvertently . So next time, definitely do not get the Tokyo tower, the super protein, and the screaming orgasm at the same time. I got the screaming, because it said there was no rice, but there definitely was rice. I'm not sure if the menu was wrong or if they made it incorrectly, but it also had a lot of mayo so I wouldn't get the screaming again. The Tokyo Tower also had a lot of mayo. I liked the super protein the best out of the three, so if I decide, I do want one roll with mayo, I would go with the super protein. However, if this is future me reading this, I should go back to my standard order, which is detailed in my last review. My husband likes the wonton soup, so we always get him that as well. Overall, I still like the sushi here, we ordered all of the above and had about a roll left over. So if I'm looking to order just enough for one dinner, I should stick with three rolls not four. They quoted us at 30 to 35 minutes but they ended up taking about 45 minutes.

Amazing even for takeout…read more I'm going to rank the dishes in the order that I enjoyed them. 1. Crying Tiger. This is grilled marinated Ny sirloin strip served with Laotian sticky rice, pickled daikon and carrots. 10/10. The meat was so exceptionally tender, even reheated the next day. I loved the sticky rice. My youngest son loved it too, so it was a huge winner. 2. Crispy Volcano Chicken. I really enjoyed this as well. It has the outside that reminds me of orange chicken. 3. Green Papaya Salad. I'm a huge papaya salad fan and this one really hit the spot. I'm the only one in my family who eats it, but I feel healthy when I do and it's delicious. 4. Fried chicken wings - they were plump and the entire family enjoyed this. The two dishes that were good, but I'd skip next time are the chicken satay (this sat around in our fridge for a while) and the black dragon roll which was good, but I think their non sushi dishes really shine. It said the food would be ready in 30 minutes (we ordered online) and when we picked up about 30 minutes later it was ready. It's super easy to park since it's a large parking lot and run in and out. I will definitely be getting more takeout from here for my family.
