Top Thai restaurant in Dunedin! Known for their noodles and curry. I highly recommend!

They say they're open til 9:30. We walked in at 8:40 and they said they're closing. Ruined our dinner plans for the evening.

It was okay. Based on reviews I came in with higher hopes. But I just didn't love it. The chicken satay was good as were most of the apps we got. However the panang curry and the pad woon sen were just mediocre. The service was good and friendly and the restaurant itself is small and quaint in a strip mall right on Main St. read more

Tom Kha Soup was too sweet and so was the Massaman Curry. I was disappointed as I've had this before from other Thai Restaurants and you could actually taste the coconut flavor! The wings were overly sweet too ! I'm trying to figure out why it was rated so high in Yelp! read more

Best Thai food at a great price. I have tried several Thai restaurants near me and I have found this one to be the best in Thai.

It's a small joint in the middle of a strip mall on busy Main Street in Dunedin. Quite dark inside but don't let that fool you. The food is super authentic and you have a choice of a lot of different options. I've only been once so far but I plan on visiting again when I have a Jones for Penang curry or pad Thai. read more

The curry fried rice with tofu and vegetables was delicious. Lots of vegetables and a wide variety - broccoli, snow peas, carrots, red peppers, onions, cabbage, green peppers and baby corn - most places don't have all of those. Thai Town is our go to for Thai food in Dunedin. The service is super fast and always thoughtful. Their restaurant is very clean and welcoming. While we haven't tried a great variety of the dishes we are never disappointed. They have BOGO's every now and then which is pretty neat from a small independent. I see a lot of pickups for take out every time I'm picking up my own dinner. read more

We love this place! We eat there weekly. My wife and I are vegan, my son a vegetarian, and my other son a meat eater. We all love the curry. The meat eater loves the dumplings, and we all love the pad Thai, basil tofu, and ginger tofu. We love everything we've tried there. read more

Delicious recipes. Best peanut dressing I've ever had with the garden salad. They serve the dressing warm. Beautiful presentation and plating of sweet potato roll from sushi menu. Lots of tasty crunch inside; wasn't expecting that in my sushi roll. The crunch was not oily; I assume it was something fried; it made the roll tastier than other sushi restaurants' sweet potato rolls. Vegetable spring rolls are very tasty; very hot inside, so they take a while to cook off. Thai restaurants don't provide knives, so I was unable to cut the spring rolls in half to help them cool off faster. Dare I request a knife when I return? I read that knives are considered a weapon in Thailand. Service excellent but food comes out of the kitchen when each dish is ready. When I return, I will emphasize in what order I'd like the food served. Would love to return to this restaurant because everything I ordered was so delicious. read more

Effort to make good food was there but was different from what we consider typical. Ie crab Rangoon had curry mixed in which changed the typical flavor (it did say such on menu to be fair). The wonton soup had a strange tasting broth maybe fish or ? Vs a more neutral flavor. Wouldn't get either again. Also ordered a Thai basil sauce w chicken. There were 4 spice levels, I ordered medium/2nd from lowest but it must have been made as hot or Thai hot as I was on fire/couldn't finish. (And we love hot buffalo wings) I'd get again just mild. read more

Decided that the family wanted Thai last night, and I needed to get medicinal provisions as well, see we headed to Dunedin. Thai town is in a small, nondescript shopping strip, with a shash room and a pizza place, but if you blink, you'll miss it, which would suck, because the food is good. Good and fresh, so DON'T MISS IT. Its a small store front and seats 10, maybe 12 tables at most for 50- 60 folks at peak seating, though it seems they do a brisk business through carry out and with delivery. We were one of 2 tables filled. The food was made fresh and to order, we placed an order for: Fresh rolls, crab Rangoon, chicken Sateh, Tom Ka and Tom yum soup, and a pang curry, everything was hot and fresh. This is the only place we have found that when ordered as Thai hot, my husband said it was actually hot enough for him. We were really happy and will come back there soon read more

This is a small mom/pop restaurant and that is what drew me to it, along with other Yelp reviews. My son and I love Thai food and he is a vegetarian so Thai is a pretty safe bet. We sat ourselves and our server came over right away with water...I ordered tea and my son Thai tea - they came out and mine had that familiar taste of old tea, it was super bitter. We got the appetizer (soup and roll) both were good...I could have eaten 3-4 more of the rolls! I ordered the chicken pad thai - always a good selection when trying a new Thai place, but was disappointed with the flavor, or lack thereof. I asked for the spice selection to jazz it up and that helped, but I've had much better elsewhere. I'll stick with go to Thai places from now on, but maybe you'll have better luck! read more

Wow!! The food left me speechless! I was so impressed with the quality of food, presentation, and level of service. First time here and didn't know what to expect. While it is located in a small plaza, the inside of the restaurant has a lot of character! The first thing I noticed were those beautiful handmade carved tables. I love places like this, the decor itself makes you feel as if you are somewhere else. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, seated, and brought water. I ordered the Crab Rangoon as an appetizer and the Fancy Duck for the meal. The Crab Rangoon was THE BEST I've tried in a long time. The crispness was perfection! the inside mix was creamy, yet tasty, and not overpowering in either flavor... such a great balance! The duck was out of this world! I've had many ducks but not like this one. The waitress brought a sizzling dish and the smell itself was wonderful. The taste was very unique, sweet and flavorful. Every bite was delicious! It took nearly 30 minutes just to get water and other drinks we ordered, but even then they didn't bring enough waters for everybody at the table. It took about 35 minutes to get our appetizers. I saw people walk in, be ignored, and then leave without ever being acknowledged by the staff. By the time we left we were the only people in the restaurant, and they didn't even acknowledge us leaving. Also, because of the really slow service, this is an awful place to bring children. My kids were really frustrated having to wait so long. The food was exceptionally good. Their crab rangoon was better than any other I've had due to some added herbs or spices. My wife said her papaya salad was really good. My green curry was awesome, with very fresh tasting veggies. My nephews fried rice was better than expected. My daughter said her dancing eels sushi was great. So all in all, the flavor of the food was a huge win. Maybe they had somebody call in sick, maybe they need to hire more people, or maybe they're always this slow. In any case, my one experience with their service was pretty bad. It would definitely be worth coming again to see if I just hit it on a bad night, but I won't get that chance because I don't live around here, so that's unfortunate and I wish my service experience had been better. It seems like they were prioritizing to-go orders, so maybe it's a good idea to just order to go to avoid the bad service and still get the great food, or maybe just come here with extra patience. read more

I love this restaurant, and feel like my family can never get enough. We usually dine in, so It sounds like others may not have as good of an experience with takeout. Everything I've had is delicious. I have a sweet tooth, so what I order is usually on the sweeter side. I've tried the Pad Thai, Tamarind Chicken, and chicken wraps. The dinner portions are generous, so unless you have a big appetite, you'll probably have enough leftover for later. My husband had tried the curries and loves them as well. It's easy to miss this restaurant, since it's in an assuming strip mall on the right of 580 when you're heading west. But don't miss it, it's so good! read more

This place is under new management and I've seen a lot more consistency in the dishes lately. Flavors are rich and sophisticated. They were served with a peanut sauce and peanut butter sauce, so if you have an allergy, as I do, they will give you another sauce. My husband had the Amazing Sauce entree. He said it was very good, but very sweet. I ordered the grilled beef salad. It would have been delicious if I could have eaten it. I immediately tasted fish; I have a fish allergy too. It wasn't stated on the menu, so ask if you have severe allergies. I then ordered the Pad See-You with chicken. It was good, but again, very sweet. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. First time here, but won't be the last. They offer a few rolls as BOGOs, which is what the picture shows. We thought we were ordering one of each roll and would get the less expensive one free, but they misunderstood and brought us 2 of each so we ended up with 2 free rolls. Had one and a half and done. The obviously imported. 22 buck duck dish. Where is the duck? Lots of imported vegetables and that was it. Will never go back. Crab Rangoon run of the mill frozen. Ordered delivery tonight from Uber Eats. Food came sooner than expected, and was fresh and hot on delivery. We ordered the Panang Curry with Chicken and Pad See-You with Tofu. Both were delicious! Curry dishes are often too spicy for me, but I ordered it mild and the amount of heat was perfect. The chicken in the dish was flavorful and tender. There was a generous amount of tofu in the Pad See-You, and no upcharge for tofu. I would recommend both dishes and will definitely be ordering again! read more
