Our latest order was devoured so fast there's no pictures. It was my first time getting the egg foo young and it won't be my last. It was chocked full of veggies. The tofu is always on point and the broccoli with garlic sauce has just the right spice. The homemade hot mustard is kicky and delicious. My husband usually likes the sweet and sour chicken because it's a good portion and he likes the sweet sauce. Food was just ok. I ordered the garlic beef lunch special. The lunch specials come with a choice of white rice or fried rice and choice between egg roll or soda. I chose the fried rice and egg roll. Again, everything was ok: garlic beef was not terribly flavorful, the fried rice looked like white rice with pork and onions added to it. The egg roll, actually, had cabbage in it. The other Chinese carry-out I've gotten in the area, the egg roll had barely anything in it. The woman behind the counter was very nice. The food came out quickly. The prices are very reasonable. Awful pad thai. Chicken was spongy and weird texture. Noodles were weird red color, and sauce was not pad thai flavor.

So....I ordered delivery from here tonight....staying in the hotel directly behind the restaurant. The order of short ribs, bourbon chicken and fried pork dumplings was delivered promptly. No eating utensils, no napkins. The dumplings were good. Following the reviews on Yelp I decided to try this restaurant. It is close to my home and easy to get to. For this visit I ordered for pick up since it was Christmas Day. I ordered 2 dishes which usually last me for 2 meals. These portions are so large they will last for 3-4! The boneless spareribs combo came with fried rice and an eggroll. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The Happy Family dish came with white rice (luckily I ordered an extra egg roll). This dish was packed with chicken, pork, beef and shrimp. The vegetables were crisp and had bright color, not the overcooked gray of some takeout places. The fried rice was delicious also. This is a small take out place in a strip mall. Plenty of parking. We stopped in to New Bamboo for lunch today. My wife and I both had lunch specials for 7.55 each. She had the General Tso's Chicken with the fried rice and a soda. I had the Beef with Broccoli with the fried rice and egg roll. We also added a small egg drop soup. The General Tso's was excellent as was the beef which melted in your mouth. Both our broccoli's were steamed to perfection and not soggy. The fried rice was very mild. I added soy sauce for additional seasoning. We both brought half of the lunch portion home and had it for dinner. We also shared the small soup which was fresh and delicious. Great Food- complete hole in a wall. No ambiance, no smiles, and no service. You order at the counter and they call you when your order is ready. It is located in a row of businesses and you'd never expect it to be good but it is. I moved here a couple of months ago and have eaten here a dozen or so times and each item I've had was freshly prepared, quality ingredients and served quickly. Prices are more than reasonable. Ordered chicken pad thai while my elderly mom browsed the thrift store next door. As one reviewer noted, it was surprisingly "white" but that was ok with me because it meant nice white meat chicken! Lots of sauteed white onion (yum in my book) and white rice noodles. Also had fried egg, ground peanuts and a bit of scallion, with 2 fresh lime wedges on the side. Noodles were a good consistency, neither too soft or too hard. I will admit the first bite set me back a bit because it was sweeter than I am used to - kind of like when you expect unsweetened tea and you drink a coke. After the initial surprise, though, the dish was plenty flavorful. As other reviewers have said, lightening fast, piping hot and good value. Nice staff, and she was wearing a mask. But sometimes, La Chica just loves her some fried, greasy-ass, mystery meat freaking Chinese food, and relationships are all about compromise, right? Well, I decided to play it safe and go with one of my all time faves from back in my mall-walking teenage days--Bourbon chicken. I don't know why, but I love the stuff. There is something about those moist, dark chicken thigh meat and how it's caramelized in that sweet and delicious garlicky sauce. Well, none of those adjectives apply here at New Bamboo. I live across the street from this place, so decided to give it a try. Boy do I regret it. I got the orange chicken with pork fried rice, wonton soup, and steamed dumplings. The dumplings were just thrown into a box carelessly, all stuck together and broken. The pork fried rice tasted like white rice, it had no flavor. The worst part is I instantly had Diarrhea after eating. my stomach was extremely upset for the next 2 days. I threw my leftovers away which i never do because I was scared to eat their food. Very good. The menu is a broad mix of Asian cuisine - typical NY style Chinese, but also sushi, tempura, and even pad Thai. We ordered a mix of items and were happy with each. My standby order when trying any new Chinese is fried rice. We ordered the standard and house special versions. Both were very good - good flavor, just the right type and amount of veggies, not greasy or burned. If anything, we thought the other dishes might have been a tad salty but we don't salt our food at home and it wasn't an extreme amount - I'm just being very picky for the review in case others don't use salt or soy sauce. To put it in context, we will definitely order from them again. I did not try the sushi on our first order but based on how much we enjoyed the other items, I will add it next time. read more

I've ordered from this restaurant before. Usually the food arrives hot and is pretty standard Chinese for Florida. This evening, was the first time I was incredibly disappointed. Although the food arrived hot, the delivery person through BM was nice, there're some concerns. The Sweet n Sour pork seemed slightly undercooked, leaving the outer crust somewhat "doughy." I'm well aware they probably upcycle the leftover ribs but, in the future, check for grissly pieces. There's nothing worse than biting down on grissle...unless you try a bone-in spare rib and it tasted as if it was cooked in days old sauce with meat tasting not quite so fresh. Couldn't even force myself to swallow. A total waste to have to throw out a small order at almost $7. The house lo mein and house egg fo young, seemed undercooked. The free with coupon pork fried rice had an unusual smokey flavor that once worked past, the veggies in the rice were pretty fresh. I've ordered many time and have spent a substantial amount of money at this place. After this evening's experience and after my fears of contamination pass, I probably won't be ordering from New Bamboo again. Sad some places these days show no pride in what they do and certainly must not care about the customer's well-being. read more

This is a modest Chinese Restaurant with great food and amazing prices, in an area where good Chinese food is hard to come by. I've tried the Shrimp with mixed vegetables and the House Special Mei Fun and the Hot and Sour Soup. The ingredients were fresh and not laced with an overabundance of soy sauce and the portions are enough for 2-3 meals. The owners speak fluent English and are following the COVID19 precautions to a T. I highly recommend patronizing this establishment! read more

I'm quite a fan of this place :) their sushi options are actually pretty good. I go for the 3 rolls for $12 or whatever that deal is. The spicy tuna roll is good. Pretty basic, as are all the less expensive rolls, but nicely made and they do taste really fresh. As for the Chinese options, I've never had anything I disliked. Hot and sour soup is one of my favorite foods, and theirs is really good. The shrimp and lobster sauce is decent, but the shrimp had some big veins in them which I had to remove before eating. Wasn't a huge issue though. The lo mein options are good, and the food always arrives hot and tastes fresh. My #1 place for any type of Asian delivery around here, when I don't want to spend a lot of money. read more

Worst Pad Thai ever, it was very bland with barely any chicken in it at all. My first clue was it lacked color, seriously it was whiter than Casper and didn't have the correct noodles of the traditional Pad Thai. My dog didn't even want it. Waited 30 minutes for three items during lunch with no one in the building. Changing the name from China Wok to New bamboo doesn't hide the fact that the cook shouldn't even be allowed to cook for convicts.
