We started with dim sum: taro dumplings (three pieces) and shark fin dumplings (four pieces) -- despite the name, there's no shark fin involved, it's just named for the shape, which resembles a shark fin. Filling-wise it tasted like a shu mai with pork and shrimp, just sealed closed rather than open-topped. Their house-made hot chili sauce was a standout -- just the right amount of heat without overpowering the dumplings. For entrées, I went with the Com Thit Nuong (Vietnamese grilled pork chop with egg), and my wife had the Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pork and shrimp crepe). We also ordered the salt and pepper calamari, which stole the show for me -- the batter was light and perfectly seasoned, fried up crunchy, and tossed with garlic and hot chilies. Hands down my favorite dish of the night. They also do a Mandarin-style pork chop that reminds me of the Peking-style pork chops you'd find in Chinatown, NYC -- a nice touch for anyone missing that flavor down here in Florida. We tried the curry fish balls, which essentially is fish balls like the ones you get at hot pot cooked in a yellow curry. It was my first time trying this and I thought it was just ok. We tried their wonton soup which came with noodles and bok chop. This was an 8/10. The fried shrimp balls were excellent and is a 9/10 for me. Normally, I think they are either too savory or oily.
