We went to the new Asian Pearl location on Belcher Rd. The place is very clean and service was great. It is not as upscale as the original location on Drew Street. That's fine, as I don't go there for the looks.., I go for the food. There are so many Chinese places around here, but Asian Pearl has the best Beef Chow Fun around. It is the closest I found around here that is similar to Chinatown, New York city. The Beef Chow Fun was excellent! The broad noodles are not as wide as in Chinatown, but they are quite sufficient. The strips of beef tasted excellent as well! Two things that I did not like about the place, was the fact that the Won Ton soup was so expensive and they charge for hot tea. Most eat in Chinese restaurants always put a pot of hot tea on the table for you to enjoy at no charge. I will skip the hot tea and wonton soup. Those are not deal breakers. I will be back for Beef Chow Fun next time I need a fix. read more

This has been a go to sit in Restaurant for us in Clearwater. They moved to a new location after there other Clearwater location closed. We visited this location for the first time and enjoyed how spacious and open it was. The A/C is to die for especially with these scorching July days. As always great service here. We ordered salt and pepper calamari, beef chow fun, and braised grouper fish and tofu. All were very tasty. For a reminder for myself, I need to remember ask for no onions - they put a lot. We have had many other dishes here including their soup dumplings, crab Rangoon, congee, and chicken corn soup. All very good. Lots of variety here. Rice is also included as it should be. Other sit in restaurants now don't include it and have it extra so mentioning this. read more

Been coming here since their previous location, and while the food used to be a little better back then, it's still one of my go-to Chinese spots in the Clearwater/Largo area. The new location is definitely smaller and can get very busy, especially with all the to-go orders coming through, so service and wait times can vary. Still, the food is solid, portions are good, and it's a reliable choice when I'm craving Chinese food. read more

While staying in Clearwater for a short family vacation, we got Asian pearl for dinner and this was the best Chinese food that I've had in a while. in total we ordered beef lo mein, chicken wings, sesame chicken, and a meat fried rice. The quality of the rice was perfect. it wasn't too hard or too soft. The service was great. The food was done quickly. I thought it was a great price for the amount of food that we got. This was kind of a mixed bag. The spring rolls are delicious, crunchy and the filling is soft and flavorful. The beef chow fun, the meat tastes great and the bean sprouts are crunchy, but the noodles are bland and need something, there's no umami but the beef has it.. The Singapore noodles just taste of low heat rather than curry. It's my first time eating here so maybe I ordered on an off night. read more

Must get the fresh stirfry eggplant in the spicy sauce. It's absolutely incredible. I haven't been to this place in a while since they had closed to relocate to this newer location however, now I remember why I never got the beef ciao fun because the seafood ciao fun or xo sauce is much much better so I will keep that in mind the next time when I arrive. The general Tsos is always very delicious. The portions here are very large each plate could feed four or five people alone. That's why I like to get the sauce on the side so then I could reheat it in a toaster oven later and dip it in the sauce as if I was still in the restaurant it will still be that good. Yay they're back at their new location!! Still the same great flavors & taste. Ordered our favorites. Food always served fresh and piping out. Service is always friendly and despite it being a very busy night, waiters were all accommodating. One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants in the area. Came on a busy night with multiple tables eagerly waiting. One downside is that this is a smaller place with fewer tables, but hoping they can expand again one day which they'd certainly benefit from! Looking forward to our next meal here! read more

It took quite a while to open this restaurant. The previous place was a dive bar, so they had to do quite a bit of renovations... They have three booths, and 14 tables... I ordered the char su pork ,egg rolls and Hong Kong style wonton soup, the soup looked and tasted like regular wonton soup to me. There was nothing else in it. The wontons were filled with meat, but had very little flavor, The two egg rolls were very greasy, and the char su pork was very overcooked. I told the server when she asked me if everything was ok, and she said people complain about the fat in the char su so they make it lean, which isn't realty to my liking. there has to be a little bit of fat in the pork so it isn't dry... She said that they don't make it that way. The place is somewhat pricey. They have no takeout menu to give you, the only menu that they have is online at your website. They have no lunch specials...The restaurant itself is very clean as well as the bathroom. I was excited to try this restaurant since I only tried the previous one that was located on Drew Street one time and I was happy with that. I will try this place another time and give it another chance possibly with some takeout but I was not very excited about this visit. read more

I was happy to see that Asian Pearl back open. However, the food did not taste the same, especially the Mongolian beef. That's one of the things that I order every single time they added a lot of vegetables and meat was different.. Service was still great. And the overall ambiance was nice as well. But I really do miss the other location where we had the spinning table tops to share food. It just really gave that authentic Chinese restaurant. The locations parking lot is a little bit difficult in reference to parking and the overall appearance. There was also several other items that we ordered that was just okay. Nothing but at this moment would really make me want to come back but since they've been open about a month or two I will give them some more time to see if they're going to bring their standard up. Based on taste Mongolian beef give this 2 stars. When they served Mongolian beef before there was no vegetables with the beef. Bbq pork give this 2 stars a lot of the pieces were dry. We are thrilled that Asian Pearl has reopened in Clearwater on Belcher Rd ( E side 1 1/2 blocks N of Gulf to Bay.). This has been are favorite Chinese restaurant in Clearwater and Pinellas County. For us this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant. All the food is very fresh and delicious. Portions are very generous. Our favorites, welll some , Garlic String Beans, Hot & Sour Soup, any eggplant dish ( I've had them all), Stir Fried Beef with Mushrooms, Peking Duck ( I prefer the 1/2), The Coconut Balls aka Fried Milk ( so unique ). I could add so many more. We've traveled to many Asian countries and appreciate Asian Pearl 's menu choices. It is across from the Post Office and not well lit at night. I see on Facebook all the time people asking for recommendations for good Chinese restaurants in the Clearwater Largo area. Asian pearl always comes up several times so I decided to try it this week. I ordered the pork fried rice - - amazing, best I've ever had. I also had the pepper steak and onions. The beef was so fresh and tender. It was absolutely delicious. I also had the spring rolls, they were a little soggy due to delivery, but delicious anyway. Would definitely recommend next time. We will try this in person. read more

Their old location was really good, tonight was some of the worst Chinese food we have ever eaten. The hot and sour soup had shrimp in it and tasted like fish. Nothing hot and sour about it, Absolutely gross! The beef chow fun tasted like plain unflavored noodles with a few pieces of beef with not much flavor either. The schezwan chicken was extra salty. Nice little sit-down Chinese restaurant in Clearwater. Mostly Cantonese, with a smattering of Thai and Sichuan dishes. The sign on the window says "Authentic Chinese Food". They have an assortment of nice dishes... and I went with the classic General Tso's chicken, because I was in the mood for fried and sweet./spicy. The dish actually had a few dried peppers in it, and a hint of spice... much more so than I usually get with dish. It was good... the Jasmine tea was good and the rice was ok. Fantastic, great service (a little slow, but one woman was working the entire floor). Keep in mind we came the night before thanksgiving. Everything was hot and wonderfully fresh!!! The place was not busy when we arrived, but within 10 - 20 minutes there wasn't an empty table!! The music was good - no Christmas music before Thanksgiving- THANK YOU. Everyone loved their dishes and we had enough for leftovers for possibly 2 meals each with the sesame and orange chicken and soup. Hubby ate all of his shrimp!!!
