Tried this place a couple of times. The food had no flavor and looks like it's been sitting there... it's a pass!

i read the reviews and expected better but honestly it was disappointing . Not too many options to choose from.; I ordered the chow mein orange chicken and kung pao. The chao mein tasted like it was recooked not fresh as in they probably used from the day before. The orange chicken was very undercooked wasnt fried enough so the flour was in a gooey texture instead of crispy and still a white color The kung pao had no flavor at all the sauce was very watery so the chicken tasted very bland Its sad because it is the only chinese food spot that has a great location but they need to improve on the food quality and service The service was okay but using my card seems kind of off because they use a phone to do the transaction so i paid cash instead but she got upset when i told her . Restaurant seemed clean and decent which is why i also gave it a chance but i was disappointed in the food quality. read more

Local mom and pop place. I really like the wonton soup and chow mein. If you call for take out they make it fresh. I dropped in and found the woman making the wontons by hand! Authentic if you ask me. There aren't a lot of options around here but so glad we have this place. read more

Food always tastes fresh and the owners are always so friendly. The shrimp chow mein is my go-to!

I like that this restaurant is family run. My favorite thing on the menu is the war wonton soup. It's wonderful on a chilly day!

The food trays are a game changer!!! I recently hosted a family gathering and was going back and forth on what to make. I decided to go with food made from a local spot and after searching some places, I found out that China Wok made party trays! I never heard of anyone getting their trays so I was a bit hesitant. I am so happy I landed on them and got the food there!! The portions were so great for the price, everyone kept raving about how good the food was, and the ease of ordering and getting my food at the time I needed it made it a great experience. Doesn't look like much at first glance nonetheless the food is fantastic I would agree the buffet style should be reconsidered but When you order items from menu the chef will wok it to perfection once you order it talk about fresh !! piping hot. The food is good and satisfying, they give a pretty hefty serving. They could use another person behind the counter as the line is getting a bit too long due to lack of server. The cook, although cooks the food well could at least do a little hygiene check. All in all, when you get there early enough the food is freshly cooked and smells delicious. read more

The chow mein was great, but everything else was just ok or not really that flavorful. The pork was beyond fatty, orange chicken was a little too greasy too. Again, the chow mein was top notch but that's about it. One of those I'm glad I tried it but I probably won't be back restaurants. read more

It was kinda late and I was on my way home from a long distance trip. I looked around yelp for some Chinese food - I just wanted some stir fried veggies and steamed rice. A very humble and cheap dish. Everywhere I looked was going to cost me close to $15 with tax and tip. Just as I was about to give up and just go home and eat a can of soup I saw this place and decided to give it a try. I went I. And the veggie tray was nearly empty - and what was left was dry and sad. I told the woman behind the counter that I really Wanted stir fried veggies and she had some freshly made for me on the spot!! It's like hospital food. I get the feeling that the person who made my food, isn't a fan of food. The whole idea of American Chinese food is wok cooking. Very high temperature cooking in a wok. It creates this perfect taste and texture that can hardly be replicated or substituted. Not here. The food would be SO good if it weren't improperly cooked. It's almost like steamed. All of it. And the coating on orange chicken should be fritter like. This coating got saturated and fell off the chicken I want to take ALLLLLLL OF IT back. The sauce tastes like Sysco type bottled sauce. I've worked in so many restaurants. Asian included. Usually, sauces are made by scratch as they are cheaper and tastier this way. read more

We had a outstanding experience here. Fast, friendly staff that went above and beyond. We called for take out at 815 pm. Went to pick it up and found out that the store had been closed since 8. The food tasted fresh and great when we got home. The portions were great. I can't wait to go back. read more

This food is an absolute disgrace. I can't bring myself to leave 1 star, because it could always be worse I suppose. I'm not saying this is the worst Chinese food in the world because I obviously have not had ALL Chinese food. But this is by far the worst I have ever had. Nothing was even close to fresh. Everything tasted awful. The fried rice was soggy and was only rice; no vegetable or egg mixed in. The rice also had a hint of cigarette smoke to it. Sweet and sour pork is inedible, and possibly radioactive. The chow mein was the least detestable part. Although, it seemed like it had been made days before. The egg rolls were just pastry around some cabbage, and nothing else. I've tried this place a few times, and each time has been more disappointing than the time before. Last straw. My mom and I love this place. It's family owned, everyone loves that! My mom always wants cow mein with no cabbage and they make it special for her. Sometimes when we go their little girl is doing her homework there. They are always so nice and the food is amazing! Super clean restaurant too. Love love love them read more

This was one of the first places we tried in Fillmore, and we even gave it more than one opportunity to impress because I thought it had to do with timing. The food is set up buffet style, which I wasn't expecting. But the food must have sat for a long time as it all seemed to taste the same. Couldn't even finish it. It may not have as many varieties as Panda Express, but what they have is good, and they will make something up for you if it's not already prepared in 5 minutes or less (each). Good for small groups (8 or less), 20 would fill the place. read more

Ownership changed so we gave it a second chance. Unfortunately it was not good. Although the new owners are very wonderful people and the place is really clean, the food was terrible. The fried rice was adequate. The dish clearly labeled "New Orange Chicken" was not made with chicken but was pork instead. Chowmein was overcooked and mushy. Vegetables were overcooked and slimy. All other items to choose from looked like they had been sitting in the steam trays for many many hours. read more

This is the best Chinese food place I've ever been to! The food is delicious, I recommend the New Orange Chicken rather than the regular Orange Chicken because I prefer more sweet sauce. This place is clean every time we visit, were always welcomed warmly and the service is just beyond terrific! All of the foods are fresh, whenever we go they are barley pulling it out of the kitchen, and if the food isn't already done they never take long cooking it so there's really no wait! read more

Tried this place upon the recommendation of Yelp. Was not impressed. Price was good, food was so-so. Flavor was kinda bland, and food was not very warm. There are a whole lot of other similar Chinese restaurants that are much better. Even Panda Express is better. Worse, it did not even give us the traditional fortune cookies!
