Ordered the SS Chicken with egg roll. There was a small piece of chicken inside the large amount of dough. The fried rice that came with it was nice. Egg roll was decent. read more

China Taste - Sesame Chicken and Tempura Shrimp - Chinese Near Me - Osprey, Florida

Good American Chinese food. All the usual dishes cooked well. Crab Rangoon were large and plump. Filling was tasty. General Tso's chicken was quite mild. Service was prompt. We did take away, but they have a few tables. Quiet with a steady flow of customers. read more

The egg foo yong combo dish was very good. Got it as takeout meals, was ready quickly, and it was accurate as ordered.

8/29/25 the owner is very rude and all she wants is money!!! she raised all her prices and the food is not worth the money. the egg rolls are black inside and she says it black pepper disgusting. i ordered veg egg foo young como delivered by uber and she puts roast pork egg foo young with no gravy delivered. disgusting. i will never order anything from this greedy chinese food owner again!! read more

Best General Cao's Chicken in the Venice Area! Very nice people as well. Close to home for those of us in Osprey.

Long wait after being on time for pick up. Asked for extra sauces and told I had to be charged. The Ramen soup with an egg was a disaster per my daughter. The egg a solid rubber ball, the broth a tastless maybe water discard from the wok?? Vegetables in the bowl were ok and nicely cooked. Noodle way overcooked. My daugther had a few spoonsful and dumped the rest. Can't remember her panning an entre like this in a long time. Spring rolls right out of the Publix frozen food section - pointless to even eat them?? The broccoli and garlic side and the saute strings beans were done nicely and were pretty good!! The coconut shrimp was also okay if maybe a little under cooked for my liking. Just too many unrecoverable errors and issues here for a second try. Under a mile from the new house so thats a bummer. read more

Chinese food is Chinese food...nothing to write home about just average fast-food Chinese takeout food. If you're in the mood for Chinese go for it...Id like to find a better place though. Too mushy and salty and not too appetizing...but I ate it! read more

General Taos was some of the best I've had!! It is mostly carry out,but there were tables that we could eat.The food was delicious, hot, adequate amount. We were on vacation and not familiar with the place, but we looked on yelp and decided to try it. read more

5* lacking because of poor customer service. Food has been consistent and excellent. We were overcharged for an order ( charged for someone else's order) and when I went back she just kept making excuses even thought I had a screenshot of the online order and a receipt. I gave up debating since she was hiding behind her language barrier, acting dumb. We still go back but watch them very closely when they bill you. Their online rates are much higher if you order ahead rather than in the restaurant. BTW, they do have the best fried rice we've had in Sarasota. read more

Best Chinese food around that I've tasted in long time Owner soo sweet and accommodating Will definite be back read more

China Taste - Soo good Ate other food before I took pic - Chinese Near Me - Osprey, Florida

Excellent Chinese food. Called in an order and it was ready exactly on time. The spare ribs were delicious. I'm glad to see they offer a full rack instead of a half rack like the majority of Chinese restaurants do. An $16.95 for a full rib is a bargain. The wonton soup was also excellent. A woman ,who I suppose is the owner , greeted me when I was at the counter. I'm happy to see her kids helped out . I will definitely be returning. read more

Aloha I got the Puou platter (for 2) and it was definitely enough for 2 people. Thinking it was going to be small, I also ordered shrimp fried rice and -orange chicken. The portions of everything were large enough for a 7 year old and adult to have leftovers the next day. They even made it to the significant other (@ 2 a.m.) who doesn't like to try food they haven't before. Dasher David was here quickly and did a great job. The food was piping hot upon arrival. We will definitely branch out and order other items from them. read more

First time we ordered since they opened about a year ago..set up an online account and ordered. Very simple, only issue was the color of the font , very difficult to read. Food was ready in under 20 minutes , which was time promised. Very polite staff . Was super busy ,but efficiently got us all taken care of timely. Best House Mei Fun I've ever had. Fresh and alot of shrimp, egg, pork and chicken, just not noodles like competition in the area ( no competition) Moo Goo Gai Pan was ok, not great ..the fried rice was good, not great..lo Mein and Sweet n Sour chicken and Won Ton soup all very good. Will definitely order from here instead of the Chinese restauraht in Nokomis Village shopping center read more

China taste is the best place to get Chinese takeout. I recommend their chicken wings, it's great! The staff treats you like family and is super nice all the time!! The place is clean and the food is good. Highly recommend. read more

The egg roll was nothing to talk about. Chicken chow Mein was ok. We got takeout. The place appeared clean but no one was eating there

I have given this place a chance and it has been more times than I should have! I am extremely picky about my American Chinese Food! This is substandard! I have tried several different things there. Basically Tasteless. The fried rice isn't fried. I ordered last time and I mean last time as I will not go back. I never liked their egg rolls. 2 of the times they tasted like mold. Right in the garbage. I did not complain, because I thought if I wanted to go back and not have my food tampered with so I didn't complain. the spicy shrimp was just ok. Shrimp was cooked well, but the sauce was not flavorful! I've never said, WOW THIS IS GREAT!! I have been eating Chinese food for 69 years and One of my favorites is egg foo young ! So this time around I ordered it and my friend ordered beef lomein. Which was OK. I tasted his! I got home and the egg foo egg was suppose to be vegetable, but it just had onion very tiny pieces it tasted like fake eggs and it looked like it was frozen perfectly shaped round. premade Pancake. The brown gravy that goes on the egg foo young was tasteless and salty. We both hated the egg rolls they were mushy inside. Weird Taste. in the garbage! He said the fried rice is terrible! I agreed. This time I Called and complained! First time I ever complained. And it turned out exactly as I thought! Argue Argue Negative Negative!!!! Her daughter put the mother on and she actually admitted that the egg rolls were ordered from a company? She gave me nothing back on the egg rolls! She became aggressive and rude! Instead of saying I'm sorry please try something else or just give me back a credit! She did do that but it was torture! She was arguing with me on the phone and telling me how good her brown sauce is for Egg Foo Young. Finally She said bring it back. I could pick some thing else out. so I go back after work, I had to go home get the food , take it back since I was on my dinner hour earlier. I get there she has another egg foo young made which I said, I didn't want! Now she's telling me how good it is again! Arguing with me some more ! With a rude and nasty attitude and face! So I finally had to say I don't want it! It's crap! I ordered Moo goo gai pan and she proceeds to sit down and eat the order of Egg Foo Young she wanted me to get again! As she's eating it, She's telling me how great it is. I'm thinking to myself YOUR KIDDING REALLY! I couldn't stand it anymore so I left and went next door to Publix! I told my friend she's arguing with me and trying to sell me on this egg foo young that still looks like a perfectly round premade pancake! Same Brown Sauce! What would be different?! I went back picked up the moo goo gui pan and left! My friend said , they probably spit in it! I'm like OMG!!! Now I'm afraid to eat it! NEVER GOING BACK THERE! And whatever you do! Don't complain if you don't like it!!!! Basically I wasted 16. Dollars and energy and time! I gave them 2 for cleanliness. If you want really good authentic American Chinese food Go to Taste of Hong Kong, on 2224 Gulf Gate Drive Sarasota, Fl 941-922-6765 I would go there all the time , but it's too far when I'm on lunch hour. It's 10 miles away! read more

This is a convenient neighbourhood restaurant. The soup and dishes are very good and tasty!!

This is hands down THE BEST Chinese food restaurant you will eat at in all of south west Florida. The food is out of this world! It's fresh not greasy and there are always leftovers so you get two meals out of one order. I finally found a good take out place, it only took me 11 years.... read more

Excellent! Very fresh ingredients. The shrimp are of excellent quality, chicken curry is fabulous. Friendly owner happy to explain the dishes. Can't wait to come in and sample their ramen bowls. Just yuck!!! We left after eating maybe three bites of food. Chicken sticks were so over cooked and dry. Beef and green beans meat was so tough couldn't be eaten. Mongolian beef just horrible tasted nothing like Mongolian beef. The noodles for the soups all stale and the fortune cookies so old you couldn't bite them. Never returning!! If I could give zero stars I would! F- read more

This is our second time trying China Taste. It will be our last. Their chicken is nearly inedible and made us wonder what grade of chicken it was and if it was even safe to eat. We ended up throwing our meals away. And overall, we felt their food lacks flavor. Their menu prices also went up, and when you compare that to the quality of several menu items, we feel it can't be justified. read more

Just had the wonton soup. The dough on the wontons could take the place of Kevlar for police vests. The kindest thing I can say about the broth was that it was wet. Clean kitchen but I do not think they have a very good idea about how to cook good Chinese food. Not to be visited again. Rest in peace. read more

Love the people working here but must say that we were told our dinner would be ready in 10 min and it actually took 75. They did give us 2 extra egg rolls for our inconvenience but it would have been better if they said your dinner will be ready in an hour. Love the staff, very nice! read more

The food is delicious! We ordered to go and there was plenty of food. Definitely recommend! Very nice owners as well.

Food so over salted, I could not even feed it to my dog and I had to pitch it. I was told I should have requested low sodium, but as I m not low sodium diner, the thought never occurred to me. The meal was luke warm, conjealed and only 5 shrimp. Again the fried rice so salty inedible. The owner refused even a partial refund or replacement. Never going back. read more
