INSANE that this restaurant has such a low rating. My family are locals and regularly, and I mean REGULARLY dine here. It's such a popular location that it's always packed with customers and orders. If the wait times are long, it's because dozens and dozens of customers are lining up out the doors for their spectacular food. Whenever I come to Florida on vacations we have their food. It's always delicious. Never has my family had a bad experience with their food, service, or anything. This is authentic, delicious Chinese food with a ton of options for my pescatarian and vegetarian friends. I'm astonished this place isn't rated higher. Genuinely deserves a five out of five. Last review, I rated 4-star. Moving down to 3 because Mongolian beef had way too much onion while it should have been green onion (and less). Stir-fried onion dominated the dish (beef did not). Hmmm, use to be our go to Chinese place! Ordered Beef Egg Foo Young our usual which was three round individual patties and a thin dark brown gravy served with white rice. Today we received a(one) omelet with some vegetables and four small pieces of thin beef, dark gravy(half of what it use to be which was so thick it had to be scraped off the spoon! CONSISTENT, FRESH and DELICIOUS!!! Not all China Taste locations are created equal. This location has been great every single time. And the people there are consistently nice as pie. I have been there about 10 times. Vegetable egg foo young is loaded with big fresh veggies that are perfectly cooked ..... and NO baby corn. The veggie fried rice, same thing: big fresh veggies, perfectly cooked. The Szechuan dumplings are really flavorful and med. spicyness.... not too hot. The Szechuan beef is also very good. once or twice, it had a bit too many onions, but we'll let it slide because it's so consistently delicious. Finally, the price is right. These people do not gouge you. I love this place and will continue to go there every time I am in Venice. read more

I've picked up to-go and on-site dining. They have 5-6 tables and definitely not a date site but it is what it is...a table to enjoy your food. Food is typical Chinese strip store level, but that's what I was looking for. I'm a fried rice hot-sour soup kind of guy and they do a good job!! If you're looking for PF Changs, this is not it. Very unpleasant experience. Lemon Chicken was heavily breaded, overcooked and tough. The accompanying "Lemon Sauce " was heavy sugar syrup with a few lemons floating and did not add a lemon taste to the sauce. Past experience with their food had been very good. This was an extreme disappointment, and the food was basically not worth the money spent. If Lemon Chicken is not within your skill set, you should remove from menu. This is my go to lunch spot. I come here mainly for the shrimp mei fun. It's right in the Publix plaza few doors down from my job. Can be very busy during lunch and around 5pm mainly on Fridays. I waited an additional 15 minutes for my food that I ordered 10mins ago. Not cool. Anyways, food is reasonable price. Decent customer service. Seating area is usually clean. The chopsticks are not completely sealed. Same with the fork and spoons. As a germaphobe, it's not a good thing. Parking can be tricky sometimes. read more

The crab rangoon was a big triangle with 1/2 teaspoon of filling? why? shrimp lo main noodles were a weird texture a bit 'grainy' a 1 inch piece of cabbage with 5 shrimp in a Qt size. The noodles stuck together in a clump with no sauce, it was dry, it had a weird taste and I didn't finish it. This is the worst chinese food I had in Venice!!! This is a great find for my husband Herb and I since moving to Venice a few months ago. The food is fresh,tasty and well prepared . We've had several of the chicken dishes, shrimp dishes, and roast pork and beef. All are tasty and servings are generous. The veggies are local and delicious, and abundant in several of the dishes we've sampled. Soups are great, also generous serving for your money. Pretty good. I had General Tso's Chicken combo w/white rice and egg roll. Chicken had a decent flavor and was crispy (as it should be). I love my white rice and this was cooked to perfection. Broccoli could have been cooked a bit longer for my taste. Egg roll was pretty good if maybe cooked a bit too long. I was bummed when I realized that I had forgotten my packets of duck and soy sauces. I'm in town for 15 nights. I'm sure I'll be back before too long. read more

Very disapointed! I love the Chow Mei Fun, and this location instead of rice noodles use ANGEL HAIR regular pasta! I would not recomend as not GIVE what is advertised!. Flavor not the best. Food taste was average. Could use more garlic. Each of our dishes tasted the same as if it was cooked with the same sauce. The Scallops and Beef were good but could use more garlic. Ma La Chicken was not authentic. It lacked the numbing and tingling of the Sichuan peppercorns which were absent in this dish. Also, it was very saucy and it tasted very similar to Scallops and Beef. A friend suggested we try this place. The line was long to pickup on a Saturday night, so we thought that's a good sign. Ordered fried rice , egg rolls, and orange chicken. Fried rice was just regular white rice with a few peas and onions, and barely enough shreds of chicken to call it a serving. It was served in a divided 3 part styrofoam container which was odd. Very disappointed in this. Orange chicken was breaded and covered in sauce, but breading had all come off and was mush mixed with sauce. Again, idk what happened that night but was not good. We will continue at our favorite place which never uses MSG, Cantons. They are next to Lowe's. read more

I arrived on time and ended up receiving my order 45 minutes after it was called in...the Crispy noodles were stale and the hoisin sauce for the Moo Shu was most inadequate for the order. The 5 stars is for the quality, quantity & taste of the food. They also are quick service considering that they prepare each meal when you order it. The place is clean, and they have a few tables, but there's no atmosphere to speak of. Most people order take-out. I especially recommend the lunch specials. You can't get lunch anywhere else as filling and reasonably priced as here, ($6.69 including tax - out the door)! The guy at the counter the other reviews are talking about as "surly" is the owner's kid...and he doesn't speak English very clearly. I don't go there to criticize them.
