I've been searching for a place that lives up to my former favorite Chinese restaurant that closed 8 years ago. Gotta say that the lo mein was very close and excellent flavor. I placed a large order for myself and my coworkers and the delivery was timely and the staff friendly. They also hooked it up with sauces. Everyone else enjoyed their food (egg drop wonton soup, seasame chicken, chicken and garlic sauce, etc). The filling for the crab ragoons was delicious but there could have been more and the exterior was a little tough. The exterior of the egg rolls was also a little tough. Will definitely get the lo mein again and perhaps try some other menu items. read more

I ordered the Mongolian Beef. The portion size was generous and very hot and the flavor wasn't bad which is great however, the meal was 70% onion, 25% bamboo shoots and only about 5% beef. They should rename it Mongolian Onion as that's what you get. Also, even though the flavor was ok, the dish was very spicy hot even though the menu didn't show a pepper next to the menu item. My wife ordered broccoli chicken and all they gave us was one little box of steamed rice to be shared between the two meals. Not close to being enough rice for two people. Did a takeout, for the 2nd time, did the usual , General Gao, house lo main, shrimp and vegetables. Nothing really stood out in Flavor, but the General GAO was out right disappointing. It was mostly breading and very little chicken, and the sauce, was tasteless. The place looked clean, and bright, but not a place to eat in, unless your by yourself. read more

I ordered chicken and broccoli and the broccoli was not cooked and also the fried rice was hard and uncooked also. I think it was probably left over from the day before. I would not recommend this Chinese restaurant. read more

Just a little hole in the wall place, but it's the best Chinese food I've had since I've been down here (Only 9 Years) I got a few Appetizers, just to try it out. They were very good. Just ate General Tso's Chicken and an egg roll. Almost lost fillings eating both! Obviously old frozen food. Could hardly cut the egg roll with a steak knife. Not good. Wonton soup was good but nothing special. I won't be going back. read more

We are in Venice Gardens and order from Canton about once a week. They are super fast and the food is higher quality you would expect. Large portions for dinner specials. Full menu of the Chinese appetizers, meals and entrees. Never a bad experience. Support the locals. Go here instead of chains that are nearby. You will be very pleased. read more

Best Chinese restaurant in Venice!!! Canton has been closed for some time so we had to try other Chinese restaurants. We were so surprised at the difference. By far Canton is the best!! The food is fresh, hot and not floating in oil. If you don't want your Chinese food drowning in too much oil this is the place to go. It is so convenient and safe for pickup. Tried this place a few times. Food is ok but owners are rude and cheat you. We ordered a large Szechuan chicken with white rice for pick up. Got a large Sesame chicken instead, brought it back and owners replaced the large with a much smaller container of what we actually ordered. When confronted he said the large Szechuan is a different size than a large Sesame .Must think we're stupid. We have ordered the same thing previously and the container was a large.Since we have had issues with them before We won't go back to these cheap skates. read more

Decent Chinese restaurant. I've gotten bad service and good service here. But, what really matters is the food. anyway, food is not bad. My favorite is the dinner specials. You honestly can't go wrong with it. It come with the entre, noodle or rice, egg roll and choice of soup. What really seals the deal though is those little fried crisp things. They come in a small little Chinese bag and let me tell you. WOW! This is all for a good price too. I, am a big eater. I could devour your whole entire fridge in seconds. And your probably thinking, "what does this have to do with Canton?" Well, their portions on the dinner special makes my buttons pop off my shirt. And, I still have left overs for my midnight snack!! we have been faithful customers since 2019 tonite we ordered over the phone.. was talked into the combo dinner instead of the fuller order w/rice... price was $1.-- lower... i went along with it because it came w/soup and an eggroll and fried rice.. had it delivered.. when i opened the cartons. it was 1/2 rice.. one order was egg foo young, burnt on one side.. the eggrolls were hard and only cabbage in them. the general tso's chicken was hard, like little rocks... i ate it but thought this is the worse i have ever had... i decided to contact owner and tell him... he defended all the complaints.. no offer for a free dinner which is normally the case... i do not think i would have excepted it after our discussion..i explained we were loyal customers and wanted to say the food today not up to your standards.. he could have cared less.. i will not return to this establishment.. note, the prices have gone up also.. this is of no matter if the food is good.. sorry,, am going to find another chinese restaurant in venice... this is to bad!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the owner should care he is nothing without his customer base...of which i am leaving....... read more

Several occasions experienced rude service . If you order pork fried rice, there will be no more than three small pieces of pork in the container. If you point this out and ask for more pork ,they refuse and say that's all they put in the small container. Never experienced this at other local Chinese restaurants. The woman behind the counter has quite a nasty attitude. We won't waste our time or money there again. read more
