Went in on new years to pick up dinner and place was slammed. Food was pretty good but will try again on a normal night, tough to review quality based on the busiest night of their year. read more

Food is typical takeout. So so to ok. Problem is their website prices are all wrong...by a lot. A $16 order per on-line menu was $23 when I went to pay. That's not just a little different. Caveat emptor!+ read more

I am from Washington DC. We have amazing Asian food everywhere. These portions are tiny and they use the worst cuts of Chicken and beef.

Food is excellent. Service needs work. This is the 2nd time i have placed an order online to arrive and have them say, sorry we did not retrieve the on line orders. Pickup was scheduled for 11:45 and we waited until 12:10 for our order. read more

I ordered chicken and broccoli and fried rice take out and there was no flavor! And to top it off the fortune cookies were staled. I can't believe I paid that much money for food that had no flavor. I would not recommend going to New China restaurant. read more

New China - Terrible food - Chinese Near Me - Nokomis, Florida

I've been a couple times when I come out here and this is the 2nd time I've been exposed to mushrooms I am allergic to mushrooms and past two times I've been brought into come with them in my food and now I'm having a reaction cause it was again put in my food after me saying more than twice no mushrooms in my fried rice or vegetable lo mein and yet had it in my rice and all they do to compensate is my money back wtf yall put my life at risk again smh never again read more

I don't know how this is rated so low. I got vegatble fried rice and it was perfection. This is a great place.

I believe this is not a first post of my favorite place for Chinese food. The Vegetable Egg Foo Young, Moo Shu, and egg rolls to name a few never fail to please. How lucky I am to have this gem just minutes from home and open until 9:30 Pm, a bonus for this night owl! Family owned, don't forget to see young Lamberts' artwork on the walls. All for sale, he's as talented an artist as Mom and Dad are as cooks!, read more

Hate to leave a negative review, maybe it was a bad night, short staffed not sure but what I am sure of is that the chicken was definitely not all white meat like promised. It's very dark and very overcooked. Not for me. We ordered bourbon chicken, generals , chicken with garlic sauce and some beef dish. Everything lacked flavor the "beef" was scary. We will try somewhere else Next time. Hope you guys have a better day tomorrow. Good luck to those whose dare! read more

While visiting my friends wanted Chinese food so I came to Yelp to find a good place. You did mot disappoint. I placed an online order ($50). Our driver called to confirm our city. When he delivered it, room 117 accepted it, ate it, denied it to me when I asked if they saw a Chinese delivery. Nope they said and the woman said, "I don't even like chinese"! So I call and they realize our food went to the wrong room. They had it here quickly. Food was awesome!! The driver showed up looking like a New Yorker ready to argue lol and said to our neighbors you took their food. Why did you take their food? That is wrong. We loved his response to those thieves! Food was excellent!!! read more

Left Nokomis beach after a full day and the fam was hungry. Yelped restaurants close by and decided on Chinese. Ordered General Tso, General Tso deluxe (with shrimp), Burbon chicken, and mixed vegetables. We ordered inside and food was hot and ready in 10 minute.. This is a real family owned and operated small business restaurant. Staff was friendly. Overall, everything was ok. The burbon chicken was over cooked (dry). The other items were decent and typical flavor. Portions were large. Prices were very fair for portions. Will we return? Jury is still out. Simply because there are many Chinese places to choose from. Will it do in a pinch? For sure. read more

Best Chinese we have had since moving to Fl from Mass All products we tasted are almost the same as what we were used to. No pork strips but just about everything else. Egg foo young amazing read more

great food. had it delivered from restaurant. friendly delivery and food was warm. it's my go to for Chinese food

Traveling for business and this place was close to my hotel so I gave it a try. It wasn't awful, shrimp roll was good but it's hard to mess that up. The sesame chicken was sadly overdone, it was dry and a bit rubbery. I'm not from here so of course I have my favorites from home to compare it to but despite traveling here 1-2x a month that was probably my first and last experience here. The only parts that I will remember are the sub par bits. read more

Good to go Chinese on Sunday afternoon...very small place...only a couple of tables so it could be a bit stuffy to dine-in but food was pretty good (nothing special though) read more

I had never tried this place before. I noticed it whilst I was dropping off a package at UPS right next door. Stopped in and grabbed a take-out menu... and then noticed when I got home, there was a coupon in the mail. So since I was in the mood for hot and sour soup, I called in a delivery order. The soup did not disappoint and everything else I ordered came hot and delicious. read more

Had a great experience from this restaurant today! I'm traveling from out of state and it's my first time trying food here. I ordered the Orange Chicken dinner combo, Chicken with String Beans, House Special Egg Fu Young and 2 Egg Rolls for take out. Food came out fast and hot! The Orange Chicken dinner combo comes with Pork Fried Rice and it was delicious. I like how they use real orange peels to make the sauce. The pork fired rice was fried nicely and had some veggies in it too. Would definitely recommend this combo! Egg Fu Young was also delicious and very flavorful! Came with white rice and a side of gravy! Chicken with String Beans was nice and simple. Tasted exactly how it should, like sautéed chicken and string beans in brown sauce. Also came with a side of white rice. The egg rolls were crispy and pretty good but we did not get any duck sauce with it. I think we had to ask for it or maybe it was on the front counter and we just forgot to pick it up. Nothing bad to say about the egg rolls, just make sure to remember to grab some duck sauce with it if you order it! Over all I would definitely recommend this place! It's a cute little restaurant which serves good Chinese food that definitely hits the spot for that American Chinese food taste. Also, prices were amazing! The total for everything combined was under $29! read more

New China - Our order!! - Chinese Near Me - Nokomis, Florida

Our favorite Chinese takeout in Venice/ Nokomis. This is a MUST in our family! My husband loves the hot & sour soup and my favorite is the Sesame Chicken. Everything we have had is fantastic, the service is amazing, and the wait times are super quick. What more could you ask for? read more

Small hole in the wall place run by a family. This place was recommended by the hotel staff. Went there to order takeout. My order was taken by a kid and was impressed by his professional demeanor. The phone was busy with lots of orders being placed. Food was ready in about 20 minutes. Quality of the food was decent with good portion sizes. Would get food from here again when in the area. read more

Tonight's meal was not eatable. There was so much sodium in the soup my mouth burned. The pork was mostly fat and did not smell good and didn't taste it. The restaurant is a half hour away so no way to take it back and still have time for dinner someplace else. I'm trying to find a good Chinese restaurant however it's almost futile in this part of Florida. I had to give one star in order to post this review but it's not one star. read more

I have been searching for food Chinese food for a long time and it was my mistake thinking this was a NEW resturant. I ordered online and as asked, confirmed a pickup time of 6:45. This was 20 minutes from when I ordered online. When I arrived, there were 4 ppl waiting and then 25 minutes later my order came up. Since it was take out I was fine with waiting if the food was going to be good. Since the resturant is probably 95% takeout, it made sense that the few tables were dirty, toys, and misc items on most of them. So that concerned me on the food quality. Here is my take on the following items- 1- Moo Shu Pork - basically was veggies minus the pork- flavorless and probably the worst I have ever had. 2- Sechuan shrimp- same but there was 5 shrimp. No flavor. 3- general Taos chicken - it was a lot of chicken but again no spice, flavor - really bad. 4- Egg roll - all filler. No pork 5- Pork Fried Rice- basically brown rice with some cut up onions. No Pork can be seen or tasted. And no flavor at all. The entire meal was flavorless and needless to say, I usually love left overs, but we dumped it all out. I do not recommend, and 100% will not go back. Don't let the name fool you- it's not NEW and it's dirty inside with flavorless food. read more

We rolled in late afternoon on Christmas after 2 days of driving and this was the only place open in the area. We ordered two veggie dishes - the Szechuan sauce with bean curd (tofu) and on with noodles. Both were fresh and healthy, and we had plenty for leftovers the following day. It was a great surprise to have a healthy and filling meal for our weary travelers! read more

We had been turned away from another local eat in establishment as it was too close to their closing time - which was an hour and 15 min from tbt published time. Anyway, we went back to our rental and searched places for delivery. They were so friendly and able to deliver food for 4 people after 9pm. Reasonable prices and some of the most fresh and delicious Chinese food we have had. We will be sure to visit them again next time we are in Venice. read more

Marginal Chinese and that's being kind. I had better frozen PF Changs at home last week

Moving to a new town brings a number of absolute must tasks including getting internet and power hooked up. But equally as important is finding good Chinese food. New China located across the street from the new Sarasota Memorial Hospital is the local winner. This is our 3rd restaraunt attempt at finding good local Chinese food. New China, unlike the what the name implies has been in business for 30 years according to the gentleman at the ordering desk. Which by the way the phone did not stop ringing at the entire time we were there ordering and getting our dinner. Currently take out and delivery only due to manpower shortages. The food was hot and tasty. Fresh crisp vegetables, fried rice with generous portions of meat and spices, noodles firm but not undercooked. Even the egg rolls were NOT greasy. A winner for sure and now we can relax in our new home after finding "our Chinese takeout place". read more

While driving around we discovered New China and we are glad we did. The food is amazing and large portions. Great experience.

I debated between 3 and 4 stars. They do a big takeout business which can be at the sacrifice of the table service. Their egg rolls were the best I had ever had. The crab ragoons were piping hot with a nice crab and green onion flavor. I think many of the dishes have the same brown sauce. My hunan chicken had no kick. It looked and tasted almost the same as my husband's chicken cashew. I will say the vegetables were not overcooked and the chicken was extremely tender. read more
