There's a lot of negative reviews for this place but I didn't buy it, decently priced, they were on TOP of keeping the food filled up and fresh, the food for the most part was pretty damn good literally the only thing I didn't like was the kimchi, besides that all of the staff were super nice, bubbly soda, good meat. I would like to say thank you to the 2 people working that are running around trying to take care of everyone. From seating them, to getting drinks, and having to plate the food for them. Your the reason for the 2 stars. As for the food, terrible. It's cold to start with. The kind of cold like when someone takes all the hot water for the shower cold. From the spring rolls to the noodles to the meats all cold. Slow to refill the stations that are empty or low. At $10 a plate I expect more, sorry at least warm food. read more

I went to eat this morning and I found a piece of metallic fiber for the dishes ON MY FOOD it was not in the plate my spoon or fork it was specifically on the Japanese style chicken other observation I did was that the plates were not clean at all and the restroom had a bad smell this was one of my favorite places not sure if will come back read more

3.5 stars Typical Chinese American buffet food. It satisfies my hunger and my chinese food craving. I recommend the bbq/grill where you get the raw food and bring t over to the cook. The cook fries it for you in less than five minutes. The house made sushi was decent as well. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the sushi. There were many food options including chinese and American food. There was also a salad and fruit bar, along with dessert. However, the desserts looked unappealing and old, so I did not try it. Additionally, I was thinking of getting some chocolate pudding but then a cook comes over with a huge can of chocolate pudding and carelessly dumps it in the container. That repelled me from trying the chocolate pudding. Their fruit was alright some were canned some were fresh. The watermelon was very sweet and fresh. Overall, the food was good not great. read more

Perhaps I'm being a little too critical giving an all-you-can-eat buffet two stars. After all, they aren't normally known to be world class eateries. And as a general rule of thumb, if you're paying twelve dollars for unlimited grub... Chances are that the quality and/or atmosphere might be somewhat suspect. China Sun Buffet checks all the usual boxes in terms of what you'd expect. Shadey location off of a busy highway? Check. Worn down building exterior with chipped paint? Check. Dilapidated interior seating with funky smells? Double check. From the time I walked into the building until I departed the establishment, I maybe shared two full sentences with the staff. That's not to say that they rude, because they weren't. The just seemed... preoccupied. The food itself was pretty bland, although there was a large variety to choose from. One of my gripes was that there was zero selections on spices to add flavor. So to wrap it up, if you're looking to stuff your face with subpar Asian food, China Sun Buffet checks out. Just don't expect too much out of it. And after everything is said and done, be prepared to feel a little on the disappointed side. read more

FIVE TIMES HERE, and EVERY TIME the Meat and Squid cooked at the Mongolian Grill Station is PERFECT. Squid is one of the most difficult to cook proteins, and they have it nailed. Again, this is otherwise a rather ordinary cheap Chinese AYCE Buffet. I keep coming back and probably will continue. read more

Ordering online was very easy but wasn't the best part of the experience. Employees were friendly and efficient and picking up the order made for a good experience. First off, it's a Chinese Buffet, what town doesn't have one? That being said, it's one of my favorite restaurants when I want a lot of Chinese. They have two full serving bars of various Chinese food, a salad bar, a Mongolian Grill, a Sushi area, and a dessert corner. What's not to like about variety? The worst part is not being able to figure out how to get as much of one item as you want without filling your stomach capacity and feeling like you didn't get enough of those other two preferred items you were eyeballing! (I strongly recommend the Coconut Shrimp as a definite highlight.) The only reason I ding this site a star is due to the fact I know two different individuals who have gotten sick/food poisoning from eating here (most likely due to not turning over the food trays). HOWEVER, they both went at off-hours/late nights (and this has not happened to me in my 20+ times going over the years). Stick to typical lunch and dinner hours and you will have nooo trouble at all. China Sun is my #1 go-to whenever I'm in the mood for a buffet in this town. read more

Total nightmare. Was seated in banquet room with minister preaching and then SINGING. About 20 attendees. Food looked old, not fully cooked. No one checked the buffet AT ALL during my visit. I was super excited to go eat relax and enjoy some food until I got there. As soon as I walked in the server at the front stared me up and down. Did what's she normally does ask how many people so I thought we were going to be seated like normal but instead asked us what we wanted to drink and then proceeded to look at me and tell "you pay now". I was super confused and asked why and she just said again "you pay now". So confused payed and then was seated. I proceeded to watch as other people walked into the restaurant and were seated without paying or any questions. When leaving I asked why I was the only one that had to pay before eating and she said because young people eat fast and leave and that old people eat slow and take long. We were also told it matters on how busy it is but the business did not change throughout the hour we were there. Not a single other young/old/whole family's paid before they got seated. read more

Yikes. We went here on a recommendation from a coworker. He said "I know, they have a bad rating on yelp but it's so good!". I should have known better. We came here on a Thursday night... thinking the food would be fresh. My first fried rice was alright. I went back for more and it was dried out and gross. The sesame chicken was off to me. I described it to my husband as "dirty armpit" tasting. They had sushi, which my husband tried. He regretted it immediately. It did not taste good. I didn't try one thing there that I really enjoyed. I visited this restaurant in September of 2006, after hearing for years about how wonderful it was from friends and family. I have to say, I was less than impressed. I have never eaten at a Mongolian Grill-style restaurant, so I wasn't even sure what that was all about. I also don't really love buffet restaurants, so while they had a large selection of stuff, most of it wasn't my thing - seafood and stuff. You know what? Sometimes I just want a nice simple Chinese-American buffet on a friday night and China Sun Buffet gave me just that. It had everything I had hoped for based on other Chinese-American buffets I've been to: Chinese dishes in the American style, (a unique regional style compared to other regional styles such as Sichuan, a little bit of Japanese sushi, a section for Mongolian Barbecue, Tsingtao beer and a decent desert section. The staff were nice, the decoration was nice and the food --while a little lukewarm at times-- was nice too. Nothing mind blowing, but nothing bad either.
