    My Mongolian Grill meal

The veggies and meat are very fresh, but they are lacking in noodle variety (no rice noodles, etc), and they don't have quite the variety of sauce toppings (but what they have is good), and it's delicious overall. Plus, the egg drop soup is good, but the cilantro is something that I wouldn't think of with egg drop soup. Service is good and their hearts are in the right place. No major ambiance, but it's nice to finally get to try the Mongolian Grill place of Commerce Street after an ownership change.

This place recently opened within the last month so they obviously will have some kinks to work out. From what I gathered the owners of Jung's retired and sold the business to the people who own the Coburg road Mongolian grill who've opened this one as Chobbi's. Our favorite Mongolian grill is the Coburg road one so we were pleasantly surprised to know it is the same owners but also disappointed because the selection here is not as big as the selection at the Coburg Rd location, hopefully that is something that they will change. The interior is exactly the same as it was when it was Jung's so it definitely could use an upgrade especially as it is pretty dark in there. The waiters we're all friendly and refilled our water frequently. One concern was that a lot of the meat in the buffet was staring to thaw out so I wasn't sure if the bar was at a safe temperature to keep the food cold enough.. All of that said, I'd love to see this place flourish into a similar quality of the Coburg road grill so here's hoping for that!

After a busy day of getting many packages packed and ready to mail for Christmas, we went to the UPS store next to Chobbi's.

I always find that Asian food hits the spot when I'm really hungry, so I looked online for a place that "the locals" rated highly and I came across "Jade Dumpling and Noodles" on Willamette. Let me just say that the fine people of Eugene didn't steer me wrong! My oldest son loves dumplings and I love noodles (really any type of Asian food), so this place was a gem! We ordered 3 different kinds of dumplings, shrimp, pork and a spicy pork and they were All Delicious! These "soup dumplings" were small and bite sized but were packed with huge savory flavors! They are made right there and are amazing! I myself had the mixed noodles. House made noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables, stir fried in a delicious lite sauce, that enhanced the flavors of the dish, without overpowering it. You could taste all the ingredients and they were fresh and delicious! I cleaned the plate and now I can't wait to return to Jade Dumplings and Noodles again and try their other dishes, that I know will be tasty! The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable, all in all, a Great dining experience! Try them out and you'll be hooked on them, just like I am now!!!

Nicely priced for a family of 4. And we ordered a lot. We only paid $109! Service was awesome also. Our waitress was Chi-chi! She offered her recommendations and answered all our questions. There are 2 parking lots just for this Market District. They offer free 3 hour parking. We will definitely visit again when we are back in town.

Had a road trip from LA to Seattle,I passed by this beautiful little town name Eugene today and…read moredecided to try this Chinese restaurant. It's a place that specializes in wheaten food and noodles. Looking at the menu, I noticed a wide variety of options with complex preparation methods. For example, the dough used for regular dumplings is completely different from the dough used for shrimp dumplings (har gow). Shrimp dumplings require wheat starch (cheng mian), which must be kneaded and shaped with water around 70°C (158°F) to form properly. The entire process is incredibly labor-intensive and truly tests the chef's skill level. Ambiance & Environment: You can tell this restaurant has been open for a long time, yet it remains very clean. There is a glass-enclosed prep area where you can watch the staff making the dough and noodles from scratch, which perfectly showcases their specialty. However, I was seated right next to the back door. Since customers have to use this door to access the restrooms, people were constantly walking in and out. The draft was quite strong, causing my food to cool down very quickly. I highly recommend installing a folding screen there. I also overheard other guests asking to switch seats for the same reason, so this is definitely an area management needs to work on. The Food: Since I was dining alone, I only ordered two dishes, but overall, the food deserved high praise: Griddle Cooked Beef (Gan Guo Beef): A classic Sichuan dish. The beef slices were large, the side ingredients were plentiful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the seasoning. It had a rich, robust aroma of spices that burst in your mouth. Delicious! Beef Dumplings: Easily the best dumplings I have ever had on the entire West Coast. The wrappers were thin, the filling was generous, and they were incredibly juicy--literally bursting with flavor with every bite. Highly recommended! Service: Absolutely non-existent! About five minutes after all my food arrived, while I was right in the middle of eating, a server just dropped the bill on my table. I was completely baffled. It wasn't until I pointed out that I still needed rice that they finally took the bill back. Once I finished my meal, I asked for the check. The server gave absolutely no response. Seeing a long line of people waiting outside, I proactively asked a second time because I didn't want to hold up their business. To my surprise, the staff member snapped at me impatiently, saying, "I heard you, I have to go over there to get your bill." It was genuinely infuriating. Good foods. No services
