The food was delicious and unexpected, there were comforting old curry dishes but also some fresh takes on Indian fare. They were out of chai, which I admit felt tragic. The service was friendly and prompt and the space was modern. My 14 year old gave it two thumbs up.

I've eaten at Royal India many times and have never once had a bad experience. I've gotten delivery as well as dined in and I highly recommend both. I almost always get the butter chicken with a side of naan or garlic naan. For delivery, the food comes in plastic containers like most curries do. You get a lot of food, enough for lunch the next day unless you have a big appetite. The containers are reusable so you can take out what you need and store the rest in the fridge for the next day. It keeps well and reheats well. For in-house dining, both the buffet and normal menu are great. There's usually something for everyone at the buffet, and it's reasonably priced for how good it is. The servers are nice and attentive and always make sure your water is topped off and your dirty plates are picked up. The restaurant itself is really nice and classy feeling. It's very clean and spacious with lots of seating. There is a lot of parking too. I've been going here every month or two for the past two years and I plan on keeping that up. I highly recommend this place for when you're craving delicious Indian food!

The food was really good! I loved the butter chicken and the chana masala! The samosas were great as well. The only complaint is that is its a bit expensive. I can only come here on special occasions. If it were cheaper Id come allll the time! Great service!

Went for dinner with friends and had a great experience. The portions were generous, especially for the price, and we got to try several different types of curry. Each curry was packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the rice and naan. The spice level was mild, which worked well for everyone at our table. Overall, the food quality was excellent, and it made for a satisfying meal. Highly recommend if you're looking for flavorful curries at a good value.

We reached here at 9:05 pm one night as we were driving into town from Portland. Although their website said they close at 9:30pm, we were told that seating is stopped at 9pm. I don't understand the point of that but nevertheless, we showed up for lunch the next day. We ordered a kadhai chicken and a chana masala with butter naan. The naans were just perfect. The kadhai chicken might have been one of the best we have had in the US. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The chana masala was great too and when ordered mild, just the right spice level for my child. I wanted to come back for more but couldn't. Hopefully again soon!

Attentive, kind and helpful staff. Unfortunately the paneer cheese couldn't be added to any dish. I was craving it with vegetables together but it appears it had to be ordered separately based on the sauce. Overall the food was filling and I didn't feel stuffed after eating. The ambiance was definitely comfortable with booths that gave us wonderful back support. A variety of music was playing in the background. It was also wonderful seeing the diversity of staff's ethnic backgrounds. Hopefully in the near future this restaurant can bring back the all you can eat potion to the menu

The pakora are still really delicious-- crispy, well-seasoned, with nice variety. The mint chutney tasted like spoiled raw onions to me. It's a *weird* fake color, like food coloring, with a fake mint flavor. There don't seem to be fresh herbs in there--certainly if it has any fresh mint or cilantro, it's not a flavor you can taste. The tamarind chutney is extremely sweet, like a jam, without any sour tamarind flavor. It's a shame to serve delicious pakora with such sauces (the mint one I found truly inedible). The curry dishes are ok, not much different from what we can make at home, and the cost per dish is quite high, close to $20/dish. The toilet in the women's bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The dining room is clean, though. Overall, my impression of this restaurant has dropped since it opened and I'm not sure I'd return except just for pakora. The place was almost empty on Friday night. I'm sad about this, since Eugene has so few Indian restaurants.

We ordered a veg pakora combo, butter chicken, palak paneer, and garlic naan. The palak paneer was requested to be medium spicy and it was adequate. There was only a couple of pieces of paneer though. We had the same complaint with the butter chicken in that there was only a small portion of chicken included. The garlic naan was not quite as garlicky as experienced elsewhere but it was definitely hot and freshly made and was delicious and sizable. The veg combo was delicious as were the tamarind and mint chutneys. The restaurant was clean and inviting but the bathrooms could have been cleaner.

It's located in a little food truck alley on Main. It's the second food truck in the row so it's easy to spot. The employee (owner maybe?) walked into the truck when we arrived and took our order immediately. I ordered a mango lassi, butter chicken, and plain naan. My partner ordered the tandoori chicken and garlic naan. The food took about half an hour to come out which was fine as there was covered seating right there. We sat and called my partner's mom for Mother's Day. The food came out hot and smelled absolutely delicious. We took it home, about a 20 minute drive, and it was still hot when we ate. The mango lassi was good but a little small for the price. I finished it within 10 minutes of getting it. The butter chicken was fantastic. It was spiced well and was incredibly tender and flavorful. The rice it came with was also great. The plain naan was delicious and paired perfectly with the butter chicken. My partner found the tandoori chicken to be dry but I suspect that's what the yogurt sauce was for. He doesn't like yogurt so he didn't try it, but I think it probably would have been less dry with the sauce. His garlic naan was also good, he ended up having some left over which I put with my leftover butter chicken and am planning on having for lunch today. The food truck alley was quiet and clean with good seating. We didn't eat there since like I said we took our food home with us, but I think we would have enjoyed eating there too. There are plenty of covered picnic tables to choose from. I didn't see a bathroom nearby, not surprising since it's just a food truck alley. Overall I really enjoyed the food from this spot and definitely want to go back. It wasn't super expensive, and while it looks like a small amount of food it is actually incredibly filling and you will likely have leftovers for another day. Definitely stop by and give this food truck a try if you're ever in the area!

It was chilly, so we waited inside of the public house building in the middle of all the food trucks. The building had a welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted by a friendly bartender at the bar, there are high ceilings, and dim lighting with natural light coming from the large windows. Music was playing, but wasn't too loud. Seemed like a nice spot to work from home. There were a few people who had their laptops plugged in at the tables. The crunch wraps were warm when they arrived, but still crunchy on the outside. I ordered my chicken crunch wrap extra spicy and it had a good amount of heat. The vegan crunch wrap was equally filling and flavorful. The marsala fries were a let down; they were the regular fries with a little drizzle of sauce and black sesame sprinkled on top. I wouldn't pay extra to order it again since it tasted just like the regular fries. We ordered the natural root beer in the public house which tasted refreshing and much better than the canned stuff you get at the grocery store. It paired well with the rich, creamy crunch wraps. Would come again!
