I brought 3 friends here yesterday - and all I can say we were disappointed with the luke warm flavorless dishes. The garlic wings were ok, and the pot stickers stood out on the Combo app. I guess my first experience was a fluke. I paid $5 for the seafood add on with the Loat Cha and got 3 medium shrimp, one average scallop, and 2 green lip dried up mussels. Was not worth $90. read more

I love this restaurant! It is one of our go-to's. I have never eaten inside, always picked up their food for take-away. But, it is really delicious, fresh ingredients and always ready on time. read more

A great place for lunch. I haven't tried anything else yet. The food is fresh and delicious and the service excellent. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they put the cold salad in with the hot food so when I got home it was warm and wilted but the next time I went I asked for a separate container and offered to pay but they did it without a charge (so got a better tip ). I have been back several times. It's constantly good. read more

My wife and I are both retired chefs and we drove for an hour to try the Angkor Cambodian Cafe based on the recommendations found on Yelp. We very much enjoy traveling and trying good food. This is what we experienced during our visit. I ordered the Stuffed Chicken as an appetizer and the Phnom Penn Noodles as the main dish. My wife ordered the Egg Role as a starter and the Cha Eggplant with Tofu as the main dish. The atmosphere is warm and very inviting. The staff are the very definition of hospitality. Now on to the review of the cuisine. The Stuffed Chicken is absolutely wonderful. What an amazing flow of delicate and delicious flavors. The out side is crispy with a center of fresh good quality ingredients that are perfect combined over all purely delicious. The sauce is a very nice compliment to the dish. The Egg Rolls are crispy and very enjoyable. The dipping sauce also compliments the Egg Rolls very nicely. For the main course: The Phnom Penn Noodles are excellent. Right out of the gate you can tell that the broth is hand made and not out of a can or box. Outstanding. The shrimp was perfectly cooked on over done like it sat in a pot all day. The pork and pork ball are amazing. This is a must try dish with a great balance of flavor and texture. Definitely a must try. Cha Eggplant is very good. The flavor is well balanced and the dish is not over sauced. The ingredients are definitely fresh and all hand prepared. This dish is a winner. This has been an amazing experience and very enjoyable. I highly recommend trying the Angkor Cambodian Cafe. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a couple days, so i decided to stop by. The food was delicious, from the lemon grass stuffed chicken wings to the bbq pork plate that had lots of different flavors to accompany that lemon grass. Service was a bit slow at times but in my opinion it added to the ambience of the place. read more

In love with this restaurant!! We were passing through Eugene for the night and wanted to get some food to go. We ordered: garlic chicken wings 4.5/5 - great sauce and crisp on wings. Wished there was another accompanying sauce or aioli machu Khmer (soup) 5/5 - great flavor from the soup!! recommend getting a bowl of rice to eat alongside the soup cha krung (noodle stir fry) 5/5 - flavorful and packed with veggies. I wish I got 2 of this!! It's a small parking lot shared with some other businesses when you pull up but our order was ready in 15 mins! The restaurant did a great job packing everything and made sure the lid was open for the chicken wings so it didn't get soggy. If I ever pass through Eugene again I would definitely come back!! Truly a hidden gem read more

This place truly feels like home. Every dish brought back memories of my mom's cooking--warm, comforting, and made with so much love. The flavors were incredible, and everything was beautifully presented without being over the top. You can tell the food is made with real care and intention. On top of that, the service was absolutely spectacular. Everyone was so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind--it made the whole experience even more special. From start to finish, it felt like I was being taken care of by family. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a meal that's both delicious and full of heart. Angkor Cambodian Café has been a Eugene favorite of ours for years. Where else can you get Cambodian food near by? We ordered a myriad of food to share for the table of eight. My personal favorite is the garlic chicken wings--crispy, tangy, and fresh! Mao, the owner and head chef, is a friendly and talented woman. Her care and attention to detail comes through in the food and the service she provides. Angkor may be on a busy street, but once you're inside it feels very homey. This place is flavorful, consistent, and tasty. read more

Was craving pho and it wasn't what I was used to? Instead of giving you a veggie plate they kind of just threw it all in the soup for you? With black pepper? They also don't have hoisin or Sarah's at the table you have to request it. The broth itself was fine the meat portions was lacking but this was my first time trying Cambodian pho. It was alright. read more

I'm not sure how I haven't known about this place the last 8 years I've lived here but I'm glad I found it. Cambodian food is not a common cuisine that I've seen in the area so when I found out about this place, I knew I had to give it a try. When I first walked in, I was seated right away as it was not too busy. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the angel wings and beef lok lak. The angel wings were nice and crispy have I liked how it was deboned but I wished it had a little bit more flavor. The beef lok lak was tender and I loved the pickles that came on the side. It was a little bit on the salty side but the sunny side up egg and rice helped balance it out. Overall, I would recommend this place as an introduction to Khmer food. A hidden gem in Eugene! read more

WOW! WOW! WOW! It took me way too long, but I finally made it here. And the food blew my mind. I would describe Cambodian food as a delicious mixture of Thai and Vietnamese. It seems to lack the spicy heat of Thai. Lemongrass seems to be a popular ingredient. I tried 3 dishes -- the garlic chicken wings appetizer, the Machu Khmer soup, and the Cha Krung stir-fry plate with beef. All of these were absolutely incredible and I would happily get all of these again. The wings were absolutely lovely with amazing crunchy texture and flavors from the roasted garlic, lime juice and house seasoning. The slight little tang at the end of every bite just took it to the next level. Do not even think twice about getting these wings. They are a must. The Machu Khmer soup ($11) is described as "sweet and sour soup with pineapple, tomato, lotus root, basil, green onion and garlic". I chose chicken as my protein. This was just magical. There was a little sour, sweet, and some spice. All the ingredients came together in perfect harmony. This honestly might be the best soup-eating experience I've had. The Cha Krung stir-fry plate ($14) was just lovely. I appreciated the generous amount of veggies (carrots, zucchini, celery) which were cooked perfectly, along with the beef. The lemongrass-based sauce tied everything together in the best way. There is also a full bar. Unfortunately they were out of the Cambodian beer but the Singha (Thai) beer was light and crisp and was an excellent pairing with the food. The interior is cozy and casual. We were there at 7pm on a Saturday and there was plenty of room. There is a parking lot in the back. Service was warm and prompt. Honestly I am still in awe over how great everything was. The flavors, textures and overall presentation of all the food left nothing more to be desired. We are very lucky to have a place like this in Eugene and I am so excited to dive into this extensive menu, there is so much good stuff. I think I'll be trying the curries next. But I will not be skipping those garlic wings, no way. read more

How have I never been here?! The garlic chicken wings are soooo crunchy and tangy that I went back for more 2 days later. (I get mine with a side of peanut sauce and hot sauce.) I like this place a lot. Their lunch specials are competitively priced and always fresh and delicious! I often will call ahead for a to-go order. All my interactions with the staff in person and via phone call have been positive and professional. Tip: if you get a to go lunch special, it doesn't include a side salad (unless you do sit down service). Ask the employee if they can add it to your to go box, they are very accomodating! Love that they offer Bnf kombucha--my favorite! read more

Five stars. The service is always great. As is the food. I recommend the house fried rice with chicken if you're new here.

The lunch portion was hella an fall. Prefer the dinner if you're hungry, the price isn't much higher but the odds over twice the size.

Apparently, this restaurant does not advertise and they have been around for eight years. I recommend if you haven't been there you try them. Food and Service were both wonderful. read more

You wouldn't think it driving by, but the food and service are always excellent. If you like Thai food give Angkor a visit.

My first visit was great because I've been craving Khmer comfort food badly and was able to overlook a lot of things. Service was phenomenal. But Prahok ktiss was different - put over rice instead of a dip. Also dry rather than oily but tasted good. Had to order a side of steamed veggies because they only included a tiny pile of shredded "salad" - cabbage and iceberg lettuce. Srolaw machu kreung - my favorite khmer stew - was far too sour and meat sank to the bottom while tiny pieces of celery floated on top. I'd only get the prahok ktiss again and that to-go so i can make my own veggies and more rice at home. Second visit would have been good if I wasn't a person who liked some level of spice. Amok trey was a tiny serving for $17 and was ok. I expected more flavor. Angel wings were drumettes instead of wings and though had a good flavor, was not spicy in the slightest. And papaya salad was not spicy at all either. I'll try and see if i can order them with spice added next time. Overall i recommend the place for the service, and I'll go back to continue trying different things. 3.5/5 read more

wow! what a hidden gem. this is hands down the best tasting, most authentic and fresh-flavorful cuisine in eugene. there is parking and the staff is attentive & friendly, the ambience is laid back, yet special. clean, with a nice layout for takeout orders or sit down full service. there is full bar, and everything is priced extremely extremely reasonably. my bill before tip was $36 for two dinner entrees and two adult beverages. i am really surprised there is not a lot of hype about this spot. it will soon be a eugene legend. read more

Well... upon a return visit, I ordered the eggplant which had almost no eggplant (90% zucchini and carrots, 3 pieces eggplant), the dressing on the salad tasted unexpected (kind of like Russian dressing? not sure), and then was charged for a more expensive item... All this just to say, I still think this is a decent place, but it's hit or miss so I'm tweaking my review to reflect. I feel sure I'll still be back for the flat noodles! 25/9/23-17:15-This place is a little strange. When we entered there was no one to greet us. So, we grabbed the menus and found a table ourselves. There were only two other parties in the restaurant. I kept getting up and going to the front to find someone and after several attempts, a woman finally appeared from the kitchen. She was VERY nice and accommodating. We ordered the salad rolls which were huge and very tasty. I had the larb guy chicken with sticky rice. Cambodian food is a little different tasting but very good. The sticky rice was a little hard. Service was excellent and dining room and very large. The other strange thing is that there was a separate area for KENO and gambling, and someone was behind the wall playing loud games, so, this might be an issue as the dining room is a bit echoey. Overall, I would leave up to you to try this place. It was okay in an interesting and different sort of way. read more

One of the most boring meals I've ever eaten. And for $18. I expected fresh and inspiring, but got overcooked veggies in a bland sauce. My husband's beef was bouncy and weird. We both spit it out. I'm sad that the sweet proprietor doesn't have better recipes. I'll stick with Sabai. read more

First time for Cambodian food and I love it!! The staff was welcoming and food was delicious! We ordered many dishes including beef noodle soup, fish amok, Loat cha (short rice noodles), garlic chicken, to name a few. Put some of the garlic chicken sauce on your rice...you'll be happy you did. The owner came out to personally ask how we liked the food. I'm visiting from Hawaii but will make this a definite stop next time I'm here. They also had a well stocked bar, clean restrooms and restaurant which holds high value for me being from Hawaii. We have a system where the Dept of health leaves a rating card at the door. I know this restaurant would get top rating back home!
