The lady taking our order January 29, 2019 at 5:58 PM was very disrespectful. No customer service at all. Other than the terrible service where she's screaming at customers. Just right now a lady asked if her vegetable egg roll was ready, and she screamed at her and said "NOT READY YET." The worse server I has had in a long long time. Order dinner for the family for pick-up, and received only have my order. Called them when I got home and they said they would not deliver the rest of my order with out a delivery charge. Drove back to get the rest of my order and I was told I should check my order before i leave the restaurant and that it not their fault if the order is incomplete. Left and went home, and guess what my order when wrong. Just don't go here unless you like being treated like shit and talked down to in Chinese. read more

Tried this place three times over the last year -our last visit this weekend is definitely the last. Confusing setup- do you order and sit down or sit down and order? Hard to know. The noise of a zillion employees talking very loudly and banging plates, woks and talking on the phone is deafening. Then there is the food- nothing memorable- very basic and common. Not cheap - $30.50 for two people for a typical Chinese multi dish dinner. And this is stuff like sweet and sour chicken or other basic low cost to make dishes. Service is haphazard and unconcerned and dishes come out in any order. Lots of breading on the sweet and sour but hard to find chicken pieces. They seem relatively busy - but I won't ever forget the experience again. I try to give restaurants a three strikes your out - this place definitely struck out bug time. In the same mall there is Siggy's - always clean and fast and generous portions - we were going there but weakened and wasted an evening at China one- and it cost me $40 to be reminded why I disliked this place the first two times. Another suggestion - Peony's over on Rancho california rd - behind a vet hospital but always clean and the employees are always happy to see you and the place is quiet and pleasant- oddly their chefs can turn out Chinese food in a spotless open view stainless steel kitchen without all the screaming and banging utensils. And their service is polite and attentive / China one- Bottomline - poor value for the money spent and an unpleasant place to spend an evening meal -- Richies is also a better value in this same shopping center for a meal. I hope they take this kind of comments as a hint to improve their operations and their cuisine - too many other choices - in Temecula. read more

Yikes! Can I say major food poisoning?! My Mother ate here a long time ago and got food poisoning. Quite some time has passed since then, so my BF and I decided to try it out. We fell in love with the this place and have been loyal customers since they opened. It was really good one year ago. I believe they have either changed cooks or changed recipes. It was a different taste and cooking style one year ago. Today, it's borderline. Our usual order: 1. Wonton soup 2. Cashew chicken 3. Beef chow mein 4. Fried rice The soup has lost its depth and character. It is missing something that brought the soup to life. The cashew chicken used to have a light creaminess and now it is more of a Kung pao sauce. And it's not at all tasty. The beef chow mein is missing the same love that the wonton soup is missing. Fried rice is very bland and lacks character and strength. For Chinese food this is probably one of the best in Temecula. The food is much better quality than any other Chinese restaurant in town. Price is right, but it's a little more than the other Chinese fast food. You get what you pay for, very authentic Chinese food. Place is clean and modern, service is friendly everything is made to order. Did I say the food is delicious. Definitely recommend the house chow mien,spicy chicken wings, orange chicken, mushroom chicken and beef and broccoli all super delicious. They give you very large portions. After my second time here I have to lower this place to one star. While my previous meal was just average, this was downright awful. Beef with garlic sauce...I asked for all white rice, got fried rice and mien, but the main entree was horrible. I ended up throwing half of it out. Ugh. Now I have to find a way to wash the taste of that food out of my mouth. I can't under stand the positive reviews for this place. Maybe they do a couple of things well but others just horrible and I've just been unlucky. But I will never go back to this place again. This is some decent Chinese food. The kids like the egg drop soup with corn and the general chicken, but just about everything on the menu I've had I've been happy with. Everything is cooked to order and super fresh. This is way better than any under the heat lamp Chinese in town. read more

Walking in you notice what a nice clean dining area they have with the booths, tables, and chairs looking sharp.. but you look up and there's a huge menu on the wall. So you're standing there trying to choose what you'll have. You do the half staring at the wall whilst you walk up to the counter and place your order. Then midway through your order, you're asked "here or to-go?" You get all confused because if you choose "here" you sit and they give you a menu again as if the one on the wall wasn't enough. So they leave you with the menu they handed you. They come back to take your order. Then set your table with plasticware and paper napkins. Serve you your soup in a Styrofoam bowl. Give you your drink in Styrofoam cups. They have the "freshly made to order" concept. So during the wait you notice how they greatly took advantage of vertical space. Boxes galore of their Styrofoam and paper goods. Piled high throughout the hallway and open kitchen. You hear Asian Pop music in the dining area, then you'll hear Asian Slow Jams coming from the kitchen - both of which are on full blast and you see the 8 cooks/kitchen help singing along. Your food gets to you in a Styrofoam to-go container.Chow mein was not-so-great as I had read in previous reviews. Egg flower soup looked and smelled great, as it should... it tasted though of not-so-great and bland. General Chicken was good though! Service was decent, they were pretty attentive. Hmm odd place. This place is great! They mailed out coupons that said they delivered, I called and checked, and sure enough they don't yet. When I called there was a definate english barrier, I do not think as a previous poster said they are rude, an english barrier is a key to good chinese food! The prices are beyond great. A lunch special is $6.25, seriously people, when you are paying 6 bucks n change don't expect to get 20 dollar entree. The portions are awesome, the prices amazing, service was okay..but its their 2nd day being open, you can't expect things to flow smoothly that quickly anywhere. We only asking you if this is big enough to feed these 3 kids or if we should order 2 portions...that was our first impression. This is one of the best Chinese Restaurants I have eaten at in a long while. The food is tasty and the spiced right. The Mongolian Beef is spicy but the way I like it. It leaves my lips tingling as it should. The house fried rice is delicious as well, the shrimp is steamed and when I bit into it I got a nice taste. The general tsao chicken is tasty as well as the Lo Mein. Very good all around meal for 4 and it was under $50 read more

Me and my family were coming home from San Diego after a long day of work and I wanted to order Chinese food from a place that took orders through my Yelp app. This place came up as I've searched and gave this place a try. I've ordered steam rice, orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp and beef egg foo young. OMG! Food here is delish! Prices are great too! You know that cliché about Chinese food being ready so fast that it's kinda scary? Yea, that. I was a little surprised, because based on the interior, this place seems like a gourmet restaurant. It's clean, modern, and well-kept. I picked the Kung Pao chicken, a Chinese Classic. The sauce had barely coated all the vegetables (clearly they were not cooked in it for long), and the peanuts were sprinkled on top. Most of the veggies were undercooked and still very crunchy. The fries rice was barely fried, and the chow mein was still a bit chewy. I don't think I'll be back here. They have nice late hours and very clean atmosphere. We have been coming here for almost 4 years now since we moved here and their food is always delicious I have never had one complaint coming here. The food is a bit overpriced considering it's a strip mall chinese joint. I can forgive that though. What I can't forgive is that my food (ginger & onion beef) smelled and tasted like urine. I sat with it for the better part of an hour, trying to figure out if it was some sort of clash with the ingredients. How could it be though? The dish is literally beef strips, onion, scallion (didn't spot any actual ginger) and some seasonings. How a mixture of onion, scallion and beef strips winds up tasting and smelling like human bodily waste is light years beyond my understanding. If I were you, I'd stay far FAR away from this overpriced dive. That is, unless you enjoy beef & urine over rice. read more

I'm downgrading my rating based on two things: today we had lunch specials and my Mongolian beef was pretty skimpy on the meat, plus the girl who brought my wife's food just dropped it on the table in front of her, no talking, no eye contact. We had not eaten here for several months because the last time we did we both ordered food with shrimp in it and we both got food poisoning. Still, we like that their orange chicken is better than the chain restaurants and the prices are fair. Just wish I had ordered something with chicken today and maybe I would have gotten a larger portion of protein. Still, flavors were on point. I had ordered the pork in hot garlic sauce and a Thai ice tea. My wife had fish fillet in black bean sauce. We also had egg drop soup, wantons and crab rangoons. I had fried rice with my meal. My wife had brown rice with hers. The food was hot. The servings were ample. The Thai ice tea was almost tasteless. The crab rangoons were oily, as was my wife's fish. We were charged for the brown rice, but not the fried rice. Overall, the price is reasonable. The facility is clean. The staff is efficient. read more
