This is the closest Chinese food place to us. The prices have increased probably 20% in the past two years. The quality of the food has stayed the same. My kids generally get the General Tso's and or the sweet n sour chicken. The food portions are okay. We typically get the crab rangoons and sometimes the shumai (dumplings) sometimes steamed or fried. The house soy sauce is good but they probably add sugar to an aged soy sauce. I like their fried wontons. No house mustard here so don't ask. I think the younger kids of the couple that used to own it took it over. They are nice enough but very impersonal. The interior is not somewhere that you feel invited into since Covid. It lacked before then. It's a okay restaurant nothing to write home about and definitely nothing worthy of a 3* review. This the second time ordering from here. First time the food was good. This time, one of the dishes was not correct, but I decided to eat it anyway. I called to advise of the mistake and was transferred to a manager. When I explained what was ordered, he put me on hold to look into. He advised me that I got what was written on the ticket to which I replied the ticket was wrong. I informed him that I wasn't looking for anything just making them aware of the mistake. I had a pretty decent Uber Eats delivery meal from here recently. I would say the overall 3.5 star average is fair. I ordered several things and some were good, others were "meh." For starters, the veggie spring rolls I ordered as a side and egg roll that came with the meal were all good - pretty standard, but tasty and fresh (not soggy or overdone either). The egg drop soup with won ton dumplings was good - nice portion and good amount of meat in the dumplings. For main courses I ordered the Pork Mei Fun, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, and Veggie Egg Fu Yung. I think my favorite dish was the Pork Mei Fun. I've never tried it before, but it reminded me of a cross between pancit bihon and the Hawaiian style dry mein noodles I've had from back home that include green onion and char siu (cha shu) in the mix. It had really great flavor and lots of meat and veggies which was nice. The shrimp in lobster sauce was okay - nothing really special, but decent. The fried rice that accompanied the dish was not good at all as it was dry and under-seasoned. Finally, the veggie egg fu yung was my least favorite of the whole meal. I am used to really good egg fu yung from a place back home called Siu's on Maui. This egg fu yung was soggy and overcooked - as others have mentioned here it was truly burnt which ruined the flavor of it. It came with a sauce on the side that sort of helped it but not really. I would never get egg fu yung from this place again. Overall, it was a pretty good meal and was packaged well. I had lots of leftovers from it at a very reasonable price. I would probably stick to the Mei Fun, rolls, and soup if I order from here again. read more

Sadly this establishment gets a FVLV flag. That is First Visit Last Visit meaning that it offered no redeeming qualities to make me even consider giving it a second chance. What went wrong, you ask. I over fifty years I have never had sweet and sour chicken where the chicken was dry and tough while the battered exterior was appearing okay. Further the sweet and sour sauce seemed off. Are they stretching it? Trying to modify the flavor? Usually this is a shelf item at most restaurants. I don't get it. Shrimp egg rolls were deficient of shrimp. There might have been one shrimp shared by the two rolls ordered. Wonton soup was okay. Now we get to the biggest disappointment. I am a huge fan of egg foo young. Not here. They were burned. Yes. I'm not really picky when it comes to Chinese. I had the sweet and sour chicken combo, and added a shrimp egg roll. I ordered on Grubhub and the food was still hot when it arrived, so the temperature earned 1 star. The chicken, the rice, and the egg rolls were all flavorless except for the taste of cooking oil. The sauce couldn't even redeem any of the food because it was watery and tasted like cough syrup. I had a zoom call with my supervisor right after lunch and told her about the horrible experience. Even she noticed that the sauce is normally thicker than what this restaurant sent. I really hate to waste food but ate about 1/2 and tossed the rest because it was disgusting. Googled and saw that this place has multiple locations on this side of town. I got her shrimp with broccoli with white rice , chicken wings and shrimp fried rice and an egg roll. It came out to $18 with delivery included which isn't bad at all. Im happy the shrimp with broccoli is in brown sauce and the fried rice is really fried rice not fake yellow rice like some paces around here. I'm very please and will order again!
