Chimy's is a great place for a laid back lunch or happy hour. The typical crowd during these times is young professional (25-45), but not exclusively so by any means. On weekends you'll find the place kid friendly during the afternoon unless there's a big game on. It has a great vibe both inside and on the patio. Chimy's uses a custom playlist of music that is always good and appropriate to the time of day and the crowd on hand. I'm always impressed at the attention they give to this detail. The best food item on the menu is the Green Chili Cheeseburger with jalapeno bun. It's one of my favorite burgers in Fort Worth. Comes with excellent waffle fries. The parking situation is not an issue until you get later into the evening of a busy Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night. Even then just parking on the other side of the bridge down Foch past Lancaster isn't a far walk and you'll 100% find parking there. read more

So apparently chimy's is the best bar ever in Lubbock... And Fort Worth! Well as far as my BF is concerned. Last Saturday the weather couldn't have been prettier, and seeing I've never been... It was a must! We walked in an you place your order. They have a small menu. I like that, your know they do a few things and do then right!!! We got two beers, a house Margarita and two orders of fish tacos! Plus tip we walked out for $30! Woohoo! I'm not a huge margarita fan... But this one was fabulous! Not too sweet or tart! The tacos came out with tortilla, fish (mine grilled his fried) and cheese. I looked at him very upset?!? WHERE ARE MY TOPPINGS?!? Well, they have a salad bar inside where you can doctor your taco (or whatever you ordered). It was all very fresh and tasty!! We sat on the patio and a waitress brought us a few more colds one! Gets pretty crowded on the weekend with college kids but if you go before the rush you can just sit and enjoy the quirky decor. Get at least a Benz. I tasted the others' Cadillacs and mine was so much smoother. The margaritas are named after cars...the fancier the car, the better the margarita. They have swirls and other concoctions too. Munched on chips, salsa and guacamole while we drank. I liked their salsa verde, and I dressed up their regular salsa with pico, onions, jalapeños, etc. Outside patio area is on the smaller side and it was pretty packed...but everyone was friendly and in good spirits. ive always wanted to go here since seeing it while drinking at reservoir it looked like a cool place to hang out. so glad i did, i went on national tequila day so they had a few specials and i only got chips and queso with chicken quesadilla. walking in to a new place is scary i didnt know if im serviced, do i sit do i order then sit do i order then walk around what do i do? lol so i did feel lost at first but i figured it out. the prices for drinks and food was okay and the food was okay i liked the atmosphere better here which was its saving point, this is a great place to start your night out on 7th, grab drinks and have some food and relax until the heavy drinking later haha. read more

Good food, good margaritas, but not the nicest service. I was with family and around 9 they wanted to kick out my underage family members. This was not disclosed to us before we arrived and it was not posted on the website or restaurant. They interrupted us in the middle of our family meal and asked those under 21 to leave. I politely said they were my family and we would be leaving soon. They continued to pester us and we just left because we apparently had too. Two people have recommended this spot for margaritas in the last two weeks, so when we found out the social house margarita machine was down today( it's 102 degrees outside no less), we headed down the block to this place. I must say, the place had the potential to be a really cool place to have a beer or a frozen margarita on a super hot day, but it's just not happening. First off, when it's this hot outdoors, please don't leave the door to the patio open. It's too hot, and it compromises the comfort of the indoor cantina taqueria. Also, no one wants to breathe or smell cigarette smoke coming in from the patio. Second thing, it's happy hour...play some nice tunes, not some over amplified 90s college rock please. Third thing and most important thing, your margaritas, which is what you advertise on the front wall of your building, are watery . Yes, watery. Slurpee like. Ok for kids. Not so good for adults. I dig on this place more than most. A friend of mine is a Tech girl who introduced me to this place, as apparently the owner's twin brother has one in Lubbock that all the college kids like, or at least that was the story. This place is casual almost to the point of being divey, but I really like that. I do think the tacos are better at Fuzzy's but I usually get big greasy entrees if I am coming here, and I'm not disappointed. This is a great little place to go to if you're really trying to just spend time with friends, on a minimum budget. They have your typical Mexican food items here that wait in line to order and they later bring to your table. Great margaritas! There's not really any outdoor seating where you can get any sun, which I consider a must in good weather months. This is our favorite spot! The drinks are very generous and super cheap!! Monday and Tuesday they have all night happy hour. My husband is hooked on the tacos but I LOVE the Foch St burger. I'd never think to order a burger here but our favorite Fort Worth bartender, Jocelyn, recommended it to me one day and now I'm hooked. I really appreciate expedited service in what has become a district where sub par service carries the expectation of exorbitant tips upwards of 20% for sub par service. The style of on the patio/at the cantina is your typical casual friends and family sporting affair. Decent TV, super casual atmosphere, but I have to knock off a couple stars for subpar ingredient choices. Despite the fun atmosphere and decent 'rita's, the food doesn't live up to competition. Example: In NO WAY should a generic sub quality frozen catfish with skin on be used in a fish taco. Your date and the entire Mexican state of Baja will be insulted with each wiff of each fishy fish breath after dinner. Otherwise, drink up--the game is on. read more

This place is average/fair. It is a great place to have drinks and had a good selection of draft beers and Margs. The Margs were good but dangerous..that's a good thing if you can limit yourself. First time here & I had a few drinks with a friend. I got chips & queso along with 2 chicken fajita tacos that I couldn't finish! They were okay! I loved how the had the little salad bar so you could throw on extra stuff. The queso was good for about 5 minutes then it hardened into a goopy mess. The dosequis Rita was extremely average. This is the place if you like great Fish Tacos and cold "real stong" Margaritas. You can watch events on the multiple tv monitors they have set up and not worry about dressing up as this place is kind of like in a back alley hidden just off main street. I have had several menu items here and I must say they provide a great deal of food for your money. The nachos are large so you could easily split this between two people.
