Everything was good - service, food, and atmosphere. Our server was very attentive and the food had good portion sizes. This type of food is easily accessible in our area so the bar is pretty high for expectations. While this experience wasn't over the top but definitely not disappointing. read more

Have you seen the menu here? The food continues to get better. The breakfast menu is fantastic! Burritos are $3.99 until 3:30 Saturdays. I got the barbacoa to go. The service is still fast. The ambiance is typical but who cares when the food is so good! I keep coming back. read more

Great food but marked my water as an ice tea and charged me $4 for it. That's more than they charge for soda. The first time this happened I let it go. This time I believe it intentional. read more

Service was great!! But the steak on the nachos tasted pretty off, like almost gamey? Then as we were leaving we got a box of cookies and they were super dry. Chips and dips were great! read more

Fun little spot with good food and service! We all had tacos! A couple of the guys had huge beers! (With lime)

We've lived in this area for almost 3 years and have yet to visit until this week. We usually go to another Mexican food restaurant close by but I've been wanting to try this place - they have a great patio! We finally tried it and ended up going twice this week because it was SO good!! We were brought chips and salsa right after we sat down. And let me tell you, some of the best I've ever had! The chips were thick and warm, appeared to be fresh. The salsa was delicious, very flavorful, but also very spicy. But I couldn't quit eating it! I ordered a combination plate with a hard taco, tamale, and beef enchilada that came with rice and beans. Lots of food, so I was able to take half home for later. Very flavorful. Hubby ordered a burrito filled with fajita steak and grilled peppers, but it looked more like a quesadilla. He said it was very good. Service was quick, friendly, and the food came iut hot and fresh. Were already looking forward to our next visit! I would come back just for the salsa, but the food is a nice bonus! read more

I love the fajitas, quesadillas, catfish, and Margaritas, and the people who work there are super nice! It is a great atmosphere with a beautiful garden patio. read more

Ordered shrimp fajitas to go. Said no beans, no rice and no tortillas. You would hope I'd get a good serving of what I'd be given, but no. I'm talking the smallest micro teaspoon of guacamole, sour cream and cheese! Enough to make just one tortilla using my low carb ones at home. AND... 2 slivers of bell pepper with a bunch of onions!! Really?? I wonder if the servings would have been so small if I had dined in. Don't screw over your take-out customers!! read more

I have been going to this restaurant since we moved to this area about 13 years ago. Slowly the service and the food have declined. Today took the cake and we will never be back. We are one of the loyalest customers they have. We go every week or other week. We dine in and take food to go. We supported them to the fullest. Today I decided to try the pastor tacos because I had never tried them and were not marked spicy. I cannot eat spicy due to a health issue. I asked just to be safe and the waitress stated they were not spicy. Received my plate and they were spicy. The waitress said she doesn't know the menu sooooo and left it at that I only took one bite of the taco. I don't think I should have been charged for the plate as it was still in its entirety. She still charged me and said o well. Didn't say sorry didn't acknowledge her mistake. This along with the food quality is bad. The carne guiada is not beef tips but the cheaper cut of beef (carne picada vs beef stew meat) not everyone knows this is you are not from south Texas, Other plates are smaller for the price they charge. We still would go because it's near us it's quick and they are local. LOCAL IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER. read more

Food wasn't half bad for the most part. The issue we had was I found 3 long black hairs in food and my wife found one in her food as well. read more

We have eaten at El Ranchito for many years. I love their burritos and my husband loves their flautas. It's usually not very crowded so it is easy to get a table. And, try their margaritas! They are pretty good! Would recommend. read more

Pretty decent for White Settlement. Service is good and food also not bad compared to other Mexican food places in the area.

El Ranchito in White Settlement, TX is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is consistently delicious. Service is efficient and friendly. The patio is casually comfortable, a perfect place to enjoy a cold beer, a great meal, and smiling faces. read more

We were looking for something new and found this gem. Large selection, reasonably priced, and overall enjoyable atmosphere. One thing I like to do at new places when I can't decide is ask the server to choose. She did not disappoint with the selection and subbed one of the cheese enchiladas for a chicken so I could try that as well. Everything was flavorful. read more

El Ranchito Restaurant - As you can see all gone. - Mexican Near Me - White Settlement, Texas

Came for a work lunch with my boss and it was just on the way to our next location, so we stopped by to get our Mexican food fix. I loved the outdoor seating area but it was much too hot for us to sit outside. They had beautiful plants and a fish pond that someone had made and clearly regular tends to it. Atmosphere: Kinda confusing decor. The deer heads throughout the restaurant say "Texas Steak/BBQ Joint" but evidently that doesn't matter here. Spacious seating area, and really casual dining. Service: Waitress sat is down, gave us chips and salsa, and took way too long to come back to take our order. Not talking 10 minutes, not talking 20. It took her 30 minutes to come take our order... and it was NOT busy!! She did NOT refill our drinks after we got served until we were almost done eating. Food: You can see right away that the chips are NOT fresh. They have like 40 baskets of chips already made in the back (you can see them stacked up on a shelf!!) So we got STALE, OLD tortilla chips. The chimichanga was literally a deep fried tortilla stuffed with ground beef. Nothing else. We weren't offered any hot sauce/salsa and I was thoroughly disappointed. Dont think I'll ever want to come back. read more

Unfortunately I have to submit a negative review. My husband and I have been eating here for 10+ years and tonight we were accused of walking a tab on the patio on a day we weren't even there. The server Maria said she recognized me, which duh, we've been going up there at least once a month for years. She decided we were the ones. Bummer way to lose loyal customers because you can't keep track of your tickets. We paid the extra tab for the sake of not arguing with them anymore. We won't be back. Too bad because they have good food and great micheladas. read more

Have driven by several times it looked good from outside. Finally had a chance to eat here, well worth it. Had chicken enchiladas and a quesadilla. Had the Lockheed Special with beef fajita meat. The food was extremely flavorful and the portion size was spot on! Highly recommend y'all give them a shot, I know that I'll be back to try some other plates. read more

Food, service and prices are good! It's a little noisy....but that's for good reason! Try to eat there as much as we can!

The chips and salsa are great, not so much the queso since it's more like warmed up velveeta cheese . Their carrot cake is BOMB and the server Maria is amazing. We've had another server before and she wasn't as good as Maria . read more

The food here is not great. My family and I ate here in the early evening, about 6:00. It was a full house but not over crowded. The decor is weird and they don't have central air conditioning. The AC wasn't turned on until the room got full so it took a while for it to cool off. The food is edible and that's about it. It's honestly nothing to rave about and I won't go here when I want really good Mexican food. The service was ok and the prices affordable....for that I give the 2 stars. read more

Love the food and great sevice, Jasmine is awesome!!! Fajitas are great, enchiladas and bacon wrapped shrimp the bomb!!!

Been dining here several times a year since 2018 and my recent visit was the first time both the food and service were poor. All of the food was bland. Crispy taco beef was dry. Service was very slow and they weren't crowded. Hopefully it won't happen on my next visit. read more

This is a family-owned and operated business. The food is always delicious. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I tell everyone that I know they should come here and eat Mexican food. It is in the neighborhood and that's great because when I visit I'm usually hungry for chimichanga. The food is absolutely delicious. On your way out don't forget to get a praline because they are the best I've ever had. I usually get the chimichanga and it is the best choice ever you can't go wrong. read more

I don't think I'll ever understand why a restaurant wouldn't fix the place up every chance they get. This place was probably a good starting point when they first opened but after being in business for so many years take some of the profits and remodel! This restaurant is dirty and the bathroom is just an outhouse that they incorporated into the restaurant. The last couple times I went there the food wasn't good, the charro beans are a joke. Won't be going back. read more
