Very disappointed with my experience with Chimney Cricket, and would highly recommend getting multiple bids before moving forward with this company. Initially, I was encouraged with Don's responsiveness and was able to quickly get a service schedule. However, that was the only positive experience I had. His tech came out, and left shortly after he started work (removed roofing tiles and drilled holes in roof). I had to follow up with Don several times to get the next visit scheduled (+1 week of playing "phone tag"). Finally got the tech back out, and after a couple hours of work (?) he informed me that he couldn't figure out why the dryer vent was blocked, then submitted an invoice for $600+. Once again tried to follow-up with Don to discuss my disappointment with my experience but received zero response. To say the least, I wouldn't recommend Chimney Cricket based on my experience with the lack of professionalism. read more

Words can't express how happy I am with Don at Chimney Cricket USA. Due to a remodel job that opened up walls, I found out three hours ago that I should get my chimney checked out. I hired Chimney Cricket to do a job, but Chim Chim Cheroo is the contractor who just showed up on my property with no communication from anyone about the switch. If I wanted Chim Chim Cheroo to do the job I would have hired them, and I had already made a conscious decision not to call Chim Chim Cheroo for a quote, instead calling Chimney Cricket - or so I thought. Further, the guy who showed up wouldn't even honor the quote I got over the phone from Chimney Cricket (which he gave after getting the square footage of my house and a thorough description of the job). In fact, he wanted to charge me DOUBLE! Huge waste of my time and I don't appreciate being treated like an idiot. read more

Very impressed with Chimney Cricket! We were able to get an appoinment right away and our techs name was Roy! He called us when he was 30 minutes away from our house and arrived on time. Roy went up to our roof to check our chimney cap and did a great job inspecting and sweeping our chimney. And thanks to him we found out our fireplace has been unsafe to use and let us know before we burnt our house down. Its also a plus that he was such a sweet guy. This is a fantastic business. We had a mamma cat give birth to a litter of kittens in our fireplace box and these guys helped us sort it out. They climbed up into the crawl space and figured out where the cat was hiding out and then helped us figure out the best options for getting her and the kittens out. Fantastic company! Honest, reliable and extremely competent. It was the first time I've had a fireplace cleaned so I could've been taken for a ride with all kinds of upsell's. Curtis was not only a gentleman and treated my house with the upmost respect as he cleaned the inside of the fireplace but he also Took the time and answered every question of mine. Chimney Cricket cleaned our chimney and repaired our dryer vent which we'd been trying to get a handyman to show up and fix. The three technicians who did work at our house were on time, thorough and professional. They explained the work they were doing and were very responsive by phone as well. I used Chimney Cricket in November 2016. My "sweep" was Roy. I was happy that I was able to get an appointment within a couple of days of calling. I didn't know what to expect, as I live in an old house and wasn't sure if the chimney had ever been clean and inspected. Roy arrived on time and went right to work with his inspection. It turned out my chimney was much less dirty that I expected. The cleaning was completed with NO mess for me. I was impressed that Roy not only inspected the interior of my chimney, but also went up on the roof to inspect the chimney's exterior. Thanks Chimney Crickett!! read more

A very nice young guy came out to look at fireplace for a cleaning and he would not touch it. He said that the design of the fireplace was dangerous and a fire hazard. (Even though the firebox is solid and the construction is a little different than most houses). Paid him an inspection fee and he did not want to clean it and have us pay for the cleaning so he came out and made money to tell us that it was unusable. He was very nice but obviously didn't have much experience. Our fireplace is set back and is different because a large mantle was built on in front with a bench and fireplace is set back. We paid for a second opinion and a person who was very knowledgeable came out and told us about how everything worked and although it was unique construction, it was completely safe and in excellent condition. Chimney cricket company made us feel that if we used our fireplace the house would burn down. Thankfully we got a second opinion and have used the fireplace extensively throughout the winter with no issues at all. I would not recommend using the young guy at this company- make sure you get someone else. This company wasted our money and did nothing to help us. read more

Have used this business in Tucson and am happy with their service. They are good about keeping you notified about appointment times and if they are going to be late. Prices on the website however need to be updated for their service. This last call they even discovered a possible leak with our AC duct on the roof and let us know. read more
